Hi Regraded Being,I do remember Roger Hornaday’s post about storming out of his own house when someone criticized Ron.I had not been here that long & I loved his post too.I do know what you say about memories of how we were in SO or on staff still hurting.I’m there still also, but as thegman77 posted we did try to do good we didn’t want to murder & destroy souls & most important we got out.Your talent for your incredible art & how you frame your pieces is an immense gift.If you & I were still in well I would be dead & let me know if I’m right you would have a very different viewpoint on the cos.You are good & kind & you keep pushing boundaries to freedom from the” prison of belief” Please don’t stop I we need you.Always Ann B.

A month after meeting and marrying the love of my life, I was ordered to ship off from LA to NY and take a new post there, leaving my wife behind. My wife and I had a three second comm cycle about it and blew.
30 years later we’re still happily married and I still think that was the smartest thing I’ve ever done.
Wow, this reminds me of something I have always been curious about. When you enter the Sea Org you are forced to disconnect from everyone else. It is very covert and you are not told up front, but the conditions enforce it. The schedule, distances, lack of phones etc etc. Nobody giving you permission to even visit your own family. But I heard there was a time when S.O. people were allowed to keep their connections and even mingle associate and marry whom they choose. They were free to communicate and cohabit ate with persons outside of the S.O. group. Then suddenly everyone in the S.O. that was married to anyone outside was ordered to disconnect from/divorce their spouses. I was told this by three people in L.A. that it happened to. Only one of them chose to divorce (Jerome Blume divorced Robin Drimmer), the other two Rose Goss and Paula Paiwonski, refused to disconnect / offload their spouses and so were kicked to the curb as punishment. Did anyone else know about this? Was anyone around? Does anyone know where this order came from or why? Just curious. If is true I would love to know who was behind that.
Very funny cartoon. Really illustrates the oblivious nature of some of the people I have found in the Scientology arena. The “spiritually supreme” wreaking of treason and /or a criminal mind.
Hi The Oracle,Like your post.Well when I was in 74-78@ Asho F the very first week it was made very clear!! to me that I was not to have contact with my family or any one else that did not agree with cos. That was OK with me back then because my parents had divorced & I was the oldest by far of 4 kids & we are all not close even today. Then a tape came out called Why can’t we be Friends. The most ridiculous bs as I see now but I had to send copies to both my late parents & my siblings. They never replied back about that.My Dad would come to Hollywood on business a few times a year & SO Officers would give him the grand tour of Asho & tell him what an asset I was as a letter reg etc. They knew he was rich & they knew I had a bank account in Hollywood plus he was the type of Dad that when you were over 21 in my day you were in charge of your own destiny,& if you screw up you get yourself out.As far as dating & marriage @ Asho F we were still much smaller than Asho Day Brian can speak to that so all the marriages @ F were only between SO members.Yes I was asked out on dates by Day & Fdn & went but none really worked out until an Officer & I fell for each other. That was a big no no.There were some husbands or wives who had been married before joining but they got remarried in the SO & did not communicate with their former non cos partners.I honestly knew no SO member that communicated outside the group with non SO @ all.Unless they were body routing for a personality test in front of the Hollwood Inn where we lived.Plus we worked such long days & nights we were so exhausted to go out & see anyone or anything else.Had to be On Source & serve Ron first always.Someone else here who has a different take post & help Oracle & I out with other info.Always Ann B.
Ann B., in ~84 I searched in S.I.R. (Source Information Retrieval system), an INCOMM system with everything El Con ever wrote stuffed into it looking for just such a “policy”. It didn’t exist.
Yep, all this forked-tongue BS is what I finally saw through in about 30 different situations all within about 3 days, and as a result carefully planned my escape. It just kept hitting me one after another –that doesn’t seem right—why do we promote that and it doesn’t apply to us on staff?–Is this really true? and….Whaaaattttt?????? This is NUTS!
I was so excited to plan getting out of there that I was no longer concerned about getting no sleep because I was scheming how to get away and doing what I needed to do to keep some of my most valuable possessions and leave in the most undercover and sweet sneaky manner. It was great. You just need to see the stupidity of what is wrong and what the prisoner-staff and gullible public allow themselves to believe without questioning it. Then the light lights and you’re the heck outta there.
Hi gato rojo,Good to meet you.Your post brought back thoughts of my escape many years ago.I started planning for weeks & had to lie my thetan off in sec checks & bed checks yes I got those towards the end!The thing was when I knew my only auditing was by the GOI & had been for months I learned pretty fast how to make the needle float.I was starving & bruised all the time but it is amazing what can be done when your life & sanity are on the line!I love where you post leave in the most undercover and sweet sneaky manner.I really freaked out in the cab to LAX when the driver greeted me with Why are you leaving us? We need you here in the movies! All I could think of was oh hell this is a plant & I’m going to have to go to the RPF & help with videos Ron had started ordering.Lucky for me I had kismet on my side.Turned out the lights & bid farewell to the SO.Take Care Ann B.
By the way, Gato, good to see you back here. Your comments were always insightful and right to the point, and were much missed on this end. Stick around. There’s more fun to come.
Hilariously sad or sadly hilarious? The cognitive dissonance in having clams ‘teach’ ‘family values’ is lost on most of the world. RB has hit the nail on the head again.
Next up, Michael Chan on balancing your check book the $cieno way.
Nice touch on Chain smoking.
You got this down perfectly.
True story, currently one huge OT fundraiser as kicked
off Flag lines for being suicidal ,going bankrupt, losing home and family members.
Now he sells what caused him to go down the drain to others en mass.
For tye greatest good no doubt, cough, cough, choke, wheez, barf !!!!!
Off topic but I’ve recently read Tony Ortega’s book, The Unbreakable Miss Lovely and still can’t shake the images from my head. As I followed the timelline of Paulette’s ordeal I couldn’t help but compare what was happening in the story to what I visualized scientology to be at that particular point in time.
I’ve read about Paulette Cooper’s experience before but this presentation really brought home the thought, “I was a part of that group.”
This story helps one to better understand why others think scientologists are wierd or creepy.
Regraded Being, I just finished Jon Atak’s ‘Let’s Sell Them a Piece of Blue Sky’ and ‘The Unbreakable Miss Lovely’ is next on my list. I wish I had read Jon’s book about five years ago, since I’ve been busy reading the blogs instead. Reading the blogs and other people’s stories and comments is immensely helpful to me. However, reading the historical books about Scientology is the other side of the coin and I strongly encourage people to learn the history of the Church of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard. I am going to read all the books available to come up to speed. I was not in the church in the 70’s, and not until the very late 80’s – early 90’s. LRH was long gone by then and Miscavige was Chicken of the Board.
I have also had moments of “I was part of that group” too. Your post of today and the one last week shows how people are conditioned to let everything go for Scientology, especially their loved ones. The board listing all the key points of the seminar is the usual hype. I would like to add that there should be one proviso at the bottom in fine print: This only applies if you, your spouse, your children and extended family members are fully dedicated Scientologists who all agree to put “Scientology First”, otherwise the information provided in this seminar cannot be correctly applied.”
The CoS is not a family oriented, or family friendly place. It specializes in estrangement.
Your work is very insightful and I want to say thank you for what you do.
Hi Pepper. Atac is definitely on my list. Russell Miller is also, Mike. I also find blogs helpful and feel indebted to this particular blog in contributing greatly towards my decision to separate from the church. Keep writing. It really does work to help others to see.
Yes I agree, I need to tag a comment on this line of thought, observation too.
One analogy that roughly comes close is the patriotic German guy from the farm in 1939. He felt his freedom was being threatened and his country required his dedication, I think one of the slogans at the time was something like (roughly translated) 80 million Germans deserve their rightful place in the world (ad nausea). He survived the war and his retrospective view is entirely different from the thoughts he had when he signed up. He was set up by a madman and his regime ran on auto until it was violently crushed out of existence.
The group Scientologist back in the day would not have dreamed it possible their dedication would ever result is such a scenario as it is today. Yet, now we can view the trail of complete betrayal if one cares to look (it’s a bit muddy with speculation in places but more or less correct as it explains the present sufficiently enough to be true). It was always going to end up this way, even Hubbard knew it and mentioned it often, yet the machine took form, automated and spread like a virus, mutating at the executive level as it went but it’s structure more or less kept intact by lies.
Maybe some types of auditing is beneficial, I personally think some are but that’s beside the point because even the workable, feel good parts have been manipulated out of existence and are used as such a bait and switch operation it’s just not safe to be involved with any type of RCS activity, none! I hate to say this but almost any Scientology presented within a group situation requires the upmost care, it’s the most insidious technology to ever be run for a profit or livelihood. And that’s where I draw the line, Scientology should never be practiced as a singular activity of profit . If people want to get together and play with it like a bingo group or some such, even a secret society, fine, there’s enough of those kicking around anyway but if it begins to organise itself with exec’s and financial structure – beware! It’s future path is toxic and it should be shut down.
Scientology’s history reads like a cold war intrigue novel, except money is the main motivation. However, that is not the only motivation, power and subservient people are the goal too, especially involving para military organisational structure – that sort of scenario can expand the quickest and follows insane orders a lot more efficiently than anything else. Just as any dictator.
Hi Regraded Being, Again this Fri your post breaks my heart for those torn apart by the disconnection policy that the cos does a now you see it in force now you don’t see it stance.Of course they have always had the policy. You do a masterful job at conveying the mess and the evil that the cos imparts to young & old alike.I too have read the book about Paulette Cooper and what a read it is.Actually I ordered many books from Amazon on cos,Jenna’s was filled with images for me as well.I need to see what others in the SO or staff @ Orgs & Missions experienced & those paying public that were hurt too.As the years roll on I can become horrified at myself in the SO.What I put myself through what I believed how I became a slave to Ron & his twisted mind.Yes I got out but the scars are still healing. That is why I love this blog. There is a space here where I can post & know that others understand me.The never ins are really interesting also. They bring up questions or points that I might not have thought about. We here have forged an amazing bond & I thank you all from my heart. And Mike you are so strong & brave having been born into Sci.I send up my prayer to the Universe that you will see your family still in before this fight is over & the cos collapses into itself.Always Ann B.
Ann: (1) You never intended to do harm. Keep that firmly in mind. (2) You were trapped by your own desire to do good and help others. (3) Each of those still in are remaining because they haven’t yet gotten their own “message”. (4) We are on this planet to learn and grow. (5) You have done so. (5) Take a HUGE win!
Hi Ann, One of my favorite comments on this blog was when Roger Hornaday wrote. “IM, you’re not the only one who cringes at the memory of his cluelessly arrogant certainty. I once stormed out of the house when a friend refused to agree with me that Ron Hubbard was the greatest man who ever lived and I WAS IN MY OWN HOUSE AT THE TIME! I wouldn’t trade the experience of having been thoroughly brainwashed for anything. Of course I’ve had plenty of time to recover.”
I’ve experienced countless cringe worthy moments of storming out of my own mental house by taking on an arrogant or condescending attitude towards a friend or loved one simply they couldn’t agree with my Scientological point of view.
I believe that Scientology has driven all of us out of our houses on more than one occasion. And, yes Roger. I do intend to use it in a cartoon at some point after it stops hurting to think about it.
I like the line “what part of leave me the fuck alone do they not understand”. I actually said “what part of “leave me the fuck alone do you not understand?” to more than one caller during their relentless attempt to “recover” me. The really sad thing is the bubble dwellers do NOT see the irony in that.
What’s funny is when members are confronted with some of these disconnection stories by family and friends, they lie and deny. I guess all the while justifying it in the back of their minds as being the greater good. I always wondered if any of them ever had the thought that if things were right with their church, they shouldn’t have to do that.
Great post, btw.
Those pesky family members are dramatizing the GE’s need to build MEST. Thanks Ron for helping us with standard tech. I now know that family bonding with love and affection is CI to command intention and thus is anti Scientology.
I now know that my love for mom and dad, daughter and son is only the reactive mind. Their losses for me only a secondary.
If only they could get standard auditing they would discover that this familial love need is based on an engram and the GE’s needs. Love and family affection is only the GE’s need.
I am so above familial love now. I am a super powered big being saving this sector of the universe. The greatest good for the greatest number demands that I embrace only Ron’s truth. Because Ron is the only being in the history of forever that has discovered the truth. All the rest is implants. I am so grateful to LRH and COB.
All we need is the bridge. To save the universe we must not let our members get side tracked with family love and affection. It’s a tough universe. Don’t be weak and fall for the GE’s needs. Thetans don’t need families. Thetans only need more Scientology.
Mom and dad, love and understanding is a Marcab conspiracy. Love and understanding is CI to command intention. We are the cream of the cream.
I have been contemplating lately the type of mind, Ron’s, that could relegate the need for family bonding, love and affection, to a psychotic -primordial- imaginary- ghost’s motivation: The GE
He single handedly defined familial love as psychotic.
A fictitious piece of ideological rubbish that gives “an evolved” justification for familial abuse and neglect.
So family bonding, love and need for affection is the psychotic low natured GE.
But harming others to protect Ron/Dave is a religious duty learned in Bolivar. Bond with Ron/Dave by being violent and neglect your family because thetans don’t do well in families???????
Do you get that peeps? Ron third partied the sanctity of the family unit (bonding with family is the GE) Just look at what this doctrine has done to families.
Bond with Ron/Dave by being violent to protect them and it is a religious duty, but family bonding is defined as a psychotic make believe entity.
The juxtaposition of these two datums is truly psychotic.
How many tears have been shed, lives destroyed, by this utter evil bullshit?
I posted about the GE some time ago on Marty’s site, that women who is suing the church ( I forgot her name) for forced abortion told me her seniors kept showing her The GE is a Family Man to get her to see the “light.”
What in essence they were trying to get her to agree to is that the instinct for motherhood comes from a psychotic ghost. And by so doing hypnotically laying into her mind that love and motherhood is abberated.
Flat out, straight up, beyond a doubt evil. This stuff will be studied in universities one day. It is absolutely sick.
Ron demonstrated his belief in this garbage by betraying his own family. What an example for students to follow!
The GE is a Family Man is an evil doctrine birthed in the mind of a man who had problems bonding with people. Hey betrayed most of his close relations.
You can partially credit your pain and broken hearts of loosing family members to this piece of trash.
Thank you Brian and I appreciate your passion on this subject. ‘The GE is a Family Man’ is a depraved piece of work, and the thought of people applying that to their lives or to another person’s life is appalling.
The woman’s name that you are referring to is Laura DeCrescenzo. Her lawsuit is still ongoing.
I didn’t know that ‘The GE is a Family Man’ was used on her to influence her decision. That’s horrible! Too bad she was only 17 at the time and didn’t know that LRH himself had seven children with three different women, which the church tries to keep secret from the parishioners.
Ms.P, I hear you. I used to go on course five days a week, 15 hours total. I would get pulled aside by my sups seniors and told that I “had to do more”, or that I should just leave my kids with my husband or a babysitter on the week-ends and “not be so focused on the second dynamic.” I was working as well and would do only one course period. Still, that was decent compared to a lot of other student’s schedules (which I kept up for years) and I was a hassle-free, productive student. Still not good enough, they always expect more from you.
The other one I would hear with regards to children is “playing with dolls.” I knew some public who joined staff and then they adopted these new ‘personalities’ shall we say. They would criticize other women who were taking care of their children and not joining staff, with “They are just playing with dolls.” It seemed a little antisocial. Children are human beings, not dolls.
Brian, also love your GE posts. I can’t tell you how many times I was made wrong from staff for visiting my parents on weekends instead of being on course, GOD FORBID. Wasn’t good enough to be on course every week day you were always expected to give up the rest of your life on weekends also.
Thanks Ms.P. I appreciate you telling the story. I really pray for the end of this delusional crap. I pray that families can once again get back together.
These doctrines are destructive.
Dave, you were duped. And now you are in the same trap as the Ole Man. Just think of his fate. His ending Dave, was not just that Ron did not take care of himself physically, and you do, so you will be fine.
Not a chance!
What brought Ron into his psychotic state at the end was all the life long lies and deceptions. There is a price to pay. There is a God. There are laws to life. And when you break those laws they break YOU.
Repeal all SP declares and you can mitigate some of your karma. Keep up the facade and reap infamy.
Brian, just wanted to comment on your comments. Your writing is brilliant. You have allowed me to peel back another layer of this rotten onion for an even deeper understanding of the anti-family bullshit they preach and push.
If you ever write a book I’ll work for you for free to help get it sold. You’ve got talent my friend.
Hi Tommy,I’m completely with you on your post about Brian’s postings. He & his wife have talent heart & laser bright spirits. They know the evil of Ron & co,yet they reach out & help all of us.That is what OT should have been & never ever was.Take Care Ann B
Ann B Watson, you are THE BOMB. Love reading every word you write. there is not a more genuine person I’ve read on any of these blogs than you my dear. Take a bow.
Hi Tommy J,Miss Ann shed a tear for your sweet & kind post. You & yours are all angels My hubby Walter of 34 yrs on 7/11/15, is laughing @ me,he has a wonderful dry sense of humor & cracks me up a lot! May we all continue to post here laugh love & cry together.Always Ann B.
Thank you guys. I have a smile on my face. You’ve made me happy :-))))). I am in this mode these days of really making the direct connection between Scientology behavior and Ron’s written word.
The GE is a Family Man should, in my view, be unpacked, taken apart and evaluated. It’s rich with information to the observant eye.
I am presently of the opinion that Ron consciously and purposely sought to redirect the family bonding instinct to him and him alone.
The GE is a Family Man is Ron’s psycho-manipulative intention to undermine the cohesion and importance of family so he can have obedient minions that only see Ron as the object of bonding, with the result of seeing the family unit as a distraction to expanding Scientology.
I can’t understand how people who have gotten rid of their own reactive mind, who have run out engrams and had empowering win after jubilant win after joyous win could end up down tone, separated from loved ones and chain smoking. All those success stories they wrote: “Now I know why beings fail!” “I am fully at cause!” “This is like…WOW! I’m totally blown away!” What happened to those wins??? Where did they go???
I found myself asking those very questions but then I did the:
***” WIN RESURGENCE RUNDOWN”***
I got back all my wins and got some new ones too! Now I know why beings fail! I’m fully at cause! This is like, WOW, I’m totally blown away!!!
Ron transfered the bonding instinct with family to himself. That is why people can deny families. He third partied the family unit and elevated himself as a substitute for family.
VWD Regraded Being, spot on as always.
Scientology orgs and their behaviour are truly on another planet. Hey, wait a minute, maybe they think they have already moved on to target 2. Might be some sort of group OTness trance like travel or something. Perhaps Mr let him die finally discovered what Hubbard really intended all along for his replacement – be someplace else with ALL the money.
Hi thegman77, I like your post. From my painful experience that statement evaporated the second it was written.Ron received the mail he just never let on that he never read it signed any of it & like those pesky PC folders when he wanted to hurt you,he had others use the contents of the letters he supposedly read with absolute deadly intent.Receiving mail now has a completely different connotation for me!I was a SO babe in the woods!Take Care Ann B.
Mail to Hubbard went on what was known as the SO#1 Line at Flag. There, as Mike will remember, there was a group of girls who worked in what was named the SO#1 Unit. I knew one of them personally and learned she and the others wrote all replies to every incoming letter. Retrospectively it makes sense as how would he do it when he was never there or running around the planet secretly. And like Ann said I am sure all correspondence was filed away and used as a source for attacks if needed. On the point of PC folders being ransacked by GO Intel, I have personal knowledge of that being done as standard procedure. My eyes began to open at that point.
Hi Glenn,Bless your heart! Sometimes my recall starts to spin in place & I even when I know what I post here about my SO time is true & becomes sharper the more I post.Thank you for what you said about SO #1 & what was then GOI.I wrote letters to those who came to Asho D & F on Flag Missions & had letters to the Ethics Officer on Flag regarding what Bill Earls was doing to me,but how great to hear from one who was there.I know now so so strongly Ron would have done whatever & however he wanted to.Lies were all part of his MO & I’m sure David proudly carries on.Always Ann B.PS I got the shock of the night when I was standing QM @ Asho F & I walked by the open door of the lady who had her office @ Asho & was in GOI & the only items in there were a huge stack of all my PC folders. The GOI had denied my CO’s request I become an Officer before he went to Flag, had pulled my class VIII C/S off my case & RPFed my wonderful OT7 Class 8 Auditor.Well back then I thought OT was great! Bill’s office was always in the old bail bonds building up the street. He needed room to do his work!!
Jenny Heartless: multiple marriage failures, broken the hearts of her kids and parents. The perfect instructor for building a better family through Scientology.
These SO people change spouses as often as I change my underwear. Of course they have a little help from DAVID “LET HIM DIE” MISCAVIGE when he orders someone to divorce their spouse.

Pepper says

I Yawnalot says
Ann B Watson says

Valerie says
I like the line “what part of leave me the fuck alone do they not understand”. I actually said “what part of “leave me the fuck alone do you not understand?” to more than one caller during their relentless attempt to “recover” me. The really sad thing is the bubble dwellers do NOT see the irony in that.
Old Surfer Dude says
Irony does not exists for them. It’s all black or white. “You’re either with us, or you’re against us.”
Laura Ann says

WE ARE SCIENTOLOGISTS!!’ THE PLANET IS OURS!!!!!!
Pepper says
Love these GE posts, Brian 🙂
Brian says
Hey Pepper,
I have been contemplating lately the type of mind, Ron’s, that could relegate the need for family bonding, love and affection, to a psychotic -primordial- imaginary- ghost’s motivation: The GE
Brian says
Pepper says
Ms.P says
Brian, also love your GE posts. I can’t tell you how many times I was made wrong from staff for visiting my parents on weekends instead of being on course, GOD FORBID. Wasn’t good enough to be on course every week day you were always expected to give up the rest of your life on weekends also.
Brian says

Pepper says
Perfectly said.
Roger Hornaday says
Brian says
Ron transfered the bonding instinct with family to himself. That is why people can deny families. He third partied the family unit and elevated himself as a substitute for family.
For the sake of world sanity of course.

Scientology orgs and their behaviour are truly on another planet. Hey, wait a minute, maybe they think they have already moved on to target 2. I recall the first lie I spotted: SO #1: All mail addressed to me shall be received by me. I wonder how long that lasted in actuality?
Ann B Watson says
Hi thegman77, I like your post. From my painful experience that statement evaporated the second it was written.Ron received the mail he just never let on that he never read it signed any of it & like those pesky PC folders when he wanted to hurt you,he had others use the contents of the letters he supposedly read with absolute deadly intent.Receiving mail now has a completely different connotation for me!I was a SO babe in the woods!Take Care Ann B.
Glenn says
Ann B Watson says
