Though I commented on this in my post of yesterday, I wanted to highlight the insanity of the scientology response to the new season's first episode while it is hot off the press (Thursday Funnies are on hiatus for a week). In a word. Lame. Their "defense" for child abuse is: We found three people who knew Saina when she was a child and she didnt mention she had been sexually molested -- yes and I found 5 people who knew Jeffrey Dahmer and they said he never told them he had killed and eaten people. Thanks to everyone for supporting the show last night. There were too many tweets, messages, FB posts, blog comments here and at the Underground Bunker to possibly keep up, or respond to all the expressions of support and outrage. It’s Scary Out There

  Here is a new pitch from one of the next "ideal orgs." Learn how to recover people. It's a scary prospect.... I can guarantee there are more EX public in this org than there are current public. And that goes for EVERY scientology org on earth except perhaps Taiwan. I wonder if the training includes watching Going Clear and Aftermath? How the hell would you "recover" someone and think they have not seen these things? And if the "recoverers" don't know anything about the shows, how are they going to "handle them"? When Miscavige feels most threatened, he invariably pulls the 1993 IAS event out of mothballs for re-airing in all orgs. This is Miscavige's crowning achievement and when he feels his PR is being assaulted, in his mind this is the antidote. Getting people to come into an org to watch this video yet again is a Sisyphean task. There is no current scientologist who has not seen it numerous times. And there are no NEW scientologists. A lot of scientologists remember Guillaume Lesevre, though the COB has done his best to ensure he is forgotten. Guillaume is the "Executive Director International" or ED Int. This is the position L. Ron Hubbard specifically created to "wear my hat" running scientology. Scientology trying to inveigle itself with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department. Though they also say this fundraiser is for Winter Wonderland? It's unclear how much they plan to give to the PAL and how much to Winter Wonderland. Scientology claims they provide Winter Wonderland as a "gift" to the community. Odd that an organization that takes in $2 million a week has to nab money from the PAL to pay for their Christmas decorations... Valley Idle Org is trying to generate some "PR Area Control" by buddying up with some "interfaith" allies. No doubt they will talk about how they are being targeted by "bigots" conducting a "campaign" of "anti-religion haters." (For an organization that derides the concept of being a victim they sure do a pretty good imitation of playing one). I wonder if they have on their agenda the topics of "Disconnection and the destruction of families"? Or "Elderly Abuse in Scientology"?
