This might seem like a foolish question -- but not when it come to L. Ron Hubbard. He apparently needs a whole lot of homes and even more offices... It is one of the lesser-known bizarre facts about scientology and the worship of L. Ron Hubbard that subsequent to his death (or in the words of David Miscavige he "discarded the body... he had used to facilitate his existence in this MEST universe," because it "had ceased to be useful and in fact had become an impediment to the work he now must do outside of its confines”), many fully furnished mansions and lavish homes were … [Read more...]
Captain Miscavige Doing His Thing
We all knew that despite his protestations to the court that he really isn't a Florida man, Captain Miscavige has been hanging out in Clearwater for some time. He did the New Year's Event at Flag and now we have confirmation he also conducted the "March 13th" event in celebration of "Ron's 112 birthday"... Chicago is basically the only thing happening in the scientology world right now, so there are 3 different renditions of what the great man imparted to his faithful flock of mesmerized sheeple. First, from our old friend Dave Parker -- the first ED of the Chicago org back … [Read more...]
“Doctor” L. Ron Hubbard
L. Ron Hubbard referred to himself as a "nuclear physicist" and assumed the title of Doctor when it suited his plans to sell his "wisdom" to people. He authored a book, All About Radiation (no longer published because it was SO provably false) and delivered a series of lectures that he sold to the unsuspecting filled with his crazy theories about radiation -- cashing in on the fear of nuclear war in the 50's. He even claimed he was offered a position as a nuclear physicist by the US Government, but of course he turned it down. As is very well documented, he took a course in atomic … [Read more...]
Psychosomatic Conditions: An Analysis of Hubbard’s Claims
This article was sent to me by one of our readers, David Chirko. It is an academic analysis and thus rather dense and uses plenty of big words. It deserves to be recorded, it is thorough and cites to many sources, which in itself is an invaluable resource. Psychosomatic Conditions and the Church of Scientology By David Chirko, A.B. chirkoart.ca Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Psychological Researcher/Author Professional Affiliate Member, Division 49, American Psychological Association “Psychosomatic adj. 1. of or relating to the role of the mind…in diseases or … [Read more...]
Scientology’s Scheme to Use Rape Victims for “Positive Press”
More scientology sickness hiding in plain sight. This is one of Hubbard's most important edicts on dealing with the media. It lays out scientology's policy on how to "control the press." It is the first policy in the "hat pack" of every scientology PR person. This is not "historical" or "we cancelled that" (like they claim about the Fair Game policy). They proudly stand behind this and even more proudly follow exactly what it says in their day to day actions. If you want to read the whole thing, you can do so here: Scientology Five Press Policies I … [Read more...]
More Hubbard Lunacy
Leah reminded me of a piece of Hubbard crazy that I had totally forgotten about. This is CURRENT policy of scientology. These are the covers he is referring to: According to Ron, any Immigration Official seeing these covers is going to fall all over himself to let the good scientologist into their country. And he is SERIOUS. Scientologists believe this is true because Ron said it is, even though by observation these paintings are middle-school level efforts, especially the boy looking out the window. How this image is supposed to cause … [Read more...]
Scientology: Psychological Terrorism
The last in the "vacation series" — now home but haven’t yet had a chance to put together a new post. Stay tuned tomorrow for another new post. Scientology is the only organization claiming to be a religion that has it's own "intelligence"/dirty tricks branch. It is unique in that the "doctrine" of scientology (i.e. the written and spoke words of L. Ron Hubbard) contain directives for scientology to engage in intelligence activities, including gathering information, spying, executing operations to intimidate and ultimately destroy people and even framing them. You can read many of … [Read more...]
Scientology’s Disdain for Law Enforcement
This is an earlier post I am updating, along with a new YouTube video today. In the wake of the Danny Masterson rape trial (soon to be retried after the jury ended up hung), many are curious about scientology's position with respect to reporting crimes to law enforcement. Scientology responded to reports they forbid this in typical fashion -- quoting the LA Times: The Church of Scientology declined to comment on the pending criminal matter, but said the religion has no policy against reporting crimes committed by Scientologists to law enforcement. “Church policy explicitly demands … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday
Today is L. Ron Hubbard's birthday. Born in Tilden, Nebraska on 13 March 1911, this may be the only consistently true statement he made about himself. I cannot think of a better occasion to recommend yet again, reading Russell Miller's excellent, unauthorized biography of Hubbard, Bare-Faced Messiah. Hubbard was always talking about "truth" and how important it is. His life was fictionalized by him for his own gain. Almost every aspect of it. Miller's thoroughly researched and documented account will put the lies to rest about Hubbard's life once and for all. What could be a … [Read more...]
Neil Gaiman’s Scientology Suicide Story
This interesting piece detailing a tumultuous period of scientology's history was sent to me by Mike Crotty, the creator of the Investigative Youtube series 'Comic's Secret History' Whether you agree with his conclusions concerning why Neil Gaiman's book frames events as it does, he has laid out the history of scientology in the UK in the mid-60's better than I have seen it done anywhere before. It was a convulsive time and led to the formation of the Sea Org when Hubbard left the UK to try his luck in reassuming his role as founder of Rhodesia, and failing at that Neil Gaiman's … [Read more...]
