More dinners on offer Double Dipping You need to be an IAS member AND a local Malmo org member? This quote... Presented with "much love" Why? Thursday Funnies
The Chan Man is back He is playing football for freedom now? I suspect he is not very good... But there is a free dinner. So maybe some hungry people will come. I get invitations like this all the time -- free dinner and we get to pitch you on our MLM scheme, Time Share, investment planning options or funeral service... Oh-oh... No confidence all those OT VII and Superpowered people aren't going to be able to keep the place safe even though the predictions are that it will NOT hit Tampa Bay? And why move it to the Mission and charge an entrance fee and not offer food? … [Read more...]
An Event You Don’t Want to Miss
Scientology advertises every event as "epic," "monumental" etc etc and every one of them is something nobody can afford to miss. But this one stands out. "In support of the Gothenburg ideal org" it promises to be memorable if only for the choice of title. It is also interesting as there is not a peep about the "ideal org" in Stockholm -- which should be where the effort to build a second ideal org (after Malmo) is directed -- the capital, cultural center and largest city in Sweden. But back to the "Have You Lived Before This Life" event. There used to be a book of that title published … [Read more...]
Trish Duggan Throwing Her Political Weight (Money) Around
This article recently appeared in local Florida media It states the following: A political committee linked to Gov. Ron DeSantis raised more than $1.11 million from Aug. 24 to 30, and the bulk of it came from one local Scientologist megadonor. Most of the money received during the period came in a $1 million contribution from Belleair Shores resident Trish Duggan, who is also the "world’s top donor to Church of Scientology," reports the Tampa Bay Times. The Times also reports that she and her now ex-husband, billionaire venture capitalist Bob Duggan, have donated more than $3 … [Read more...]
More on High Conflict Personalities
This is a follow up to an earlier post on this subject. High conflict people (HCPs) tend to have four characteristics: 1) Preoccupation with blaming others; 2) all-or-nothing thinking and solutions; 3) unmanaged or intense emotions; and 4) extreme behavior and/or threats. This is not a diagnosis, but rather a description of conflict behavior. However, those with high conflict personality patterns often have personality disorders, which is a diagnosis. This means that they have an enduring pattern of dysfunctional interpersonal behavior. The personality d … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Not so many funnies this week. There's no major events happening, no new ideal org openings, just the quiet sounds of orgs slowly circling the drain…. The Clown Royalty of Scientology This pair are like cartoon characters — check out the topics of her talk! Nuts. Any reason to try to get some bodies in the shop…. Hubbard would have RPFed the executive strata of the org if he saw this Senior Master Members? They're running out of stupid names for the stupid people who hand over stupid money for stupid things. This being the dumbest one of all. Dead in the wate … [Read more...]

My Afternoon in Scientology — Washington D.C. Edition
Another report from someone who ventured into a scientology org -- this time in Washington, D.C. I am not sure how long ago the person had this experience, but it was before they moved into the new "ideal org" building, when the org was operating out of the old Frasier Mansion (which is now the "National Affairs Office"). Of course, the great (?) thing about scientology is that nothing ever changes. It could have been yesterday or a decade ago or in the 1980's and the same things would have happened. You can read the full article here. As a note for those unfamiliar with the term like … [Read more...]
“Let Them” Theory
I had not seen this before, but it is very sage advice from Mel Robbins who is described on Wikipedia as: an American podcast host, author, motivational speaker, and former lawyer. She is known for her TEDx talk, "How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over"; and her books, The 5 Second Rule and The High 5 Habit, as well as host of The Mel Robbins Podcast. I find it to be incredibly valuable advice. Are you familiar with the “Let Them” theory? I’ll tell you the more I grow the more I am okay with accepting the “Let Them” in my own life and relationships. Even family can mistreat and disrespect you. … [Read more...]
