Solve It With Scientology

April 3, 2014 By Special Correspondent 147 Comments

A lesson from the rewritten history of the Church of Scientology.  Truly a blast from the past and a sort of time capsule into how things were 25 years ago before the Vulture Culture became the order of the day. People talk about the "good old days."  Others sometimes comment that there were no "good old days" because everything was always bad because everything sprang from the evil mind of L. Ron Hubbard. Well, this makes for interesting reading, as it is evidence that at least one thing about the church really HAS changed dramatically, and it is not because of what LRH wrote. Back in the … [Read more...]

Dare To Think for Yourself- Or Not

January 21, 2014 By Special Correspondent 54 Comments

Woah, wait on a sec. Perhaps that was not the best slogan for Scientology to put a couple of million dollars behind in 2013.  When all is said in done, people who do that end up getting booted out and disconnected from.  They needed an ad for 2014 that's more in line with the imaginary expansion that Scientology is experiencing at the moment.  Imagine science... and religion... connectingImagine technology... and spirituality... combiningNow imagine... that everything you ever imagined... is possibleScientology... there are higher states of existence Actually, imagine getting your … [Read more...]

The New Ideal Org Strategy

January 21, 2014 By Special Correspondent 50 Comments

(Article by Special Correspondent) The news is out that David Miscavige is loaning Scientology Auckland the sixteen million dollars needed to renovate their new "Ideal Org". This will follow up the ten million that they were loaned already to buy the building. There has been some speculation as to why he might do this, since Auckland is not exactly the "crossroads of the world". His constant companion Lou Henley-Smith is from Auckland, as is her large and almost entirely Scientologist family. So I would think that would be a factor.  Perhaps another factor is that the new Auckland "ideal … [Read more...]

Scientology OT Committees- Some Statistics

January 20, 2014 By Special Correspondent 59 Comments

The OT Committee of a Scientology Church represents the most active and committed of the local Scientologists. Until they have completed OT VIII, they are easy to pressure and control because they have to pass detailed "OT Eligibility" Checks and they get grilled as to their contributions to their local Church. If they fail the check, they can't move on.  To see the statistics of an OT Committee is thus a somewhat rare and very revealing glimpse behind the curtain. Scientology church staffers go to extreme lengths to hide the actual statistics of their organizations. This is because these … [Read more...]

Scientology Fundraising Techniques- Use of “Shills”

January 19, 2014 By Special Correspondent 108 Comments

(Article By Special Correspondent) Recently I received a copy of the Scientology Seattle Ideal Org Building Fundraising Hat Write-Up By Mark Arnold, the Executive Director for Seattle Day. You can see the full write up here. Most of it is a detailed and complex structure for milking every possible penny from Scientologists in the local area. He confirms that 10% commissions are paid on funds raised and also makes it clear that materials written by L Ron Hubbard are not the important references - the core reference for the fundraising is a book called ASKING by Jerold Panas which he refers to … [Read more...]

Scientology E Meter with Ball and Chain

January 18, 2014 By Special Correspondent 107 Comments

Well we just got a copy of David Miscavige's boldest attempt ever to lock down total control of all Scientology audiitng. A good try Dave, but I think the flock has already fled. It is two documents, one that licenses the software and one that licenses the actual meter itself.  You can download a PDF of this ball and chain right here.  You can also click on the images below to get an idea of the pages and content. Keep in mind this has to be signed and returned to Scientology BEFORE you get your e-meter.  I was going to excerpt the most egregious efforts to suppress all auditing outside of … [Read more...]
