Sanity or Anarchy?

July 25, 2020 By Mike Rinder 40 Comments

Anyone who almost sheds a tear when studying Introduction to Scientology Ethics is either completely delusional or more likely has been abused with the application of this "tech" and the memories are so raw they bring tears. Let's take a look at some of the "incredibly sane" stuff in this book? For example, here are some of the specific "Crimes" and "High Crimes" that are listed. These are things for which you can be declared Suppressive: These are what passes for the most sane ethics and justice system ever invented. Don’t testify or use the court system or cooperate with … [Read more...]

More Denver in Distress

July 8, 2018 By Mike Rinder 156 Comments

Here is the "Interrogatory" that preceded the "HCO Summons"... This is pretty revealing. Not attending events "expected of Scientologists." Appearing to drink excessively? Failing in some area of life, "yet do not seek Ethics help"? "Scientologists who are not participating" or "helping OTC"? Can you imagine the state of this "org" that this is what they are devoting their time to? The moral police. Not resembling much the oft-proclaimed “what is true for you is true” and “you don’t have to believe anything in scientology” and “think for yourself”... They clearly have … [Read more...]

More on Conditions in Scientology

February 10, 2018 By Mike Rinder 77 Comments

It's SaTerraDay More on Conditions in Scientology According L. Ron Hubbard: “A Danger Condition is normally assigned when: An Emergency Condition has continued too long. A statistic plunges downward very steeply. A senior executive suddenly finds himself or herself wearing the hat of the head of the activity because it is in trouble.” First Dynamic Formula Bypass habits or normal routines. Handle the situation and any danger in it. Assign self a Danger Condition. Get in your own personal ethics by finding what you are doing that is out-ethics and use … [Read more...]

Scientology Condition of Liability

February 3, 2018 By Mike Rinder 92 Comments

Scientology Condition of Liability I’m always amazed at the ability of Scientologists to turn a blind eye to the LRH tech and policy they’ve sworn to follow and uphold. I should know. From my first week as a student on the Communication Course way back when, I put on blinders every time I walked in the mission. The more I studied, the more I knew things weren’t completely right. Then again, there was this young blonde girl... But I digress. Per L. Ron Hubbard’s Condition of Liability, “Below Non-Existence there is the Condition of Liability. The being has ceased to be simply non-existent as … [Read more...]

The Scientology Committee of Evidence

October 7, 2017 By Mike Rinder 148 Comments

It's Saturday. Yay for Terra Cognita! The Scientology Committee of Evidence The Committee of Evidence—Comm Ev for short—is one of the chief instruments the Church of Scientology uses to administer justice. Over the years, this court-martial-like hearing has changed from a method of gathering facts and evidence to something more sinister. Nine times out of time, the outcome is a foregone conclusion, played out for show rather than in the interest of fairness and justice. For many church members, there is little more frightening than being called before a Committee of Evidence. As every … [Read more...]

Ethics and Justice Blurred

January 9, 2017 By Mike Rinder 151 Comments

By our regular guest contributor Terra Cognita. Ethics and Justice Blurred From the Chinese to the ancient Greeks, ethics has been defined through the ages by many societies. However, while Confucius and Socrates invited discussion and debate, L. Ron Hubbard did not. In fact, LRH went so far as to say that unless man was entirely ethical by his standards and definitions, his technology could not be applied and man would not go free. LRH defined ethics as: “...rationality toward the highest level of survival for the individual, the future race, the group, and mankind, and the other … [Read more...]

JoJo’s Got Fleas And Lice But Doesn’t Give A Damn

June 11, 2014 By Mike Rinder 102 Comments

The Queen of the Facebook Police has resurfaced after a period of relative obscurity. Someone sent this in and it struck me as amusing. Clearly they DO care about what the fleas and lice say... Which is why she posted this on Facebook... But not to worry as Flourishig and Prospering we are doing a lot of  !!! Her afflictions apparently aren't limited to fleas and lice, but she also has the "exclamation tic" and the grammar weevils, You are right JoJo, you should be careful about what you put on the internet.  … [Read more...]

It’s “Damagingly Commercial” – LRH

May 16, 2014 By Mike Rinder 218 Comments

A Special Correspondent sent this to me and it is an interesting study for a couple of reasons. First -- you can see the contempt LRH had for The Auditor being "damagingly commercial" and  "putting emphasis on speed through courses." How do you think he would view the current scene in scientology? The statements made in this Auditor are positively pathetic compared to what is said today about the "speed up the Bridge" and with GAT II ESPECIALLY focused on the "speed of training." But even worse, commercialism pervades EVERYTHING in scientology these days -- it is ALL about the … [Read more...]

The OTC Security Hammer Is Dropping

April 17, 2014 By Mike Rinder 171 Comments

Apparently hushmail didnt solve the problem, so now they have a new message right at the top of the OTC minutes: Note: The minutes are for the sole use of Valley OTC members. All members receive a copy. Please do not forward the minutes to anyone else for any reason. Apparently there are all sorts of measures being taken to try to stem the flow of information outside the bubble. One might ask why that is of such concern. Of course it is merely information they WANT to impart to the "OTC members" -- if it is true, how could it be so damaging? But that is like asking why if you are opening a … [Read more...]

Scientology E Meter with Ball and Chain

January 18, 2014 By Special Correspondent 106 Comments

Well we just got a copy of David Miscavige's boldest attempt ever to lock down total control of all Scientology audiitng. A good try Dave, but I think the flock has already fled. It is two documents, one that licenses the software and one that licenses the actual meter itself.  You can download a PDF of this ball and chain right here.  You can also click on the images below to get an idea of the pages and content. Keep in mind this has to be signed and returned to Scientology BEFORE you get your e-meter.  I was going to excerpt the most egregious efforts to suppress all auditing outside of … [Read more...]

@LeahRemini @azhlynne @UltioetVeritas @MikeRinder As fellow "Never-Ins" we enjoyed this latest podcast episode with Stefani. It's mind boggling that Scientology has tax exempt status. Hoping @TheJusticeDept tunes in as more and more people speak out.
