This is an old article that appeared in Premiere magazine in 1993. I came across it while I was looking for something recently and it reminded me of the days when journalists in major publications were not afraid of taking on scientology and challenging the celebrities involved to account for their support of the cult. These days, with a very few exceptions (Tony Ortega, take a bow), reporters are so afraid of even asking about scientology, the issue is ignored. Cruise forbids questions about scientology as a condition of doing interviews. The lack of attention and exposure of the beliefs and … [Read more...]

Going Clear on Netflix
Going Clear is available on Netflix. If you have not seen this, take the time to watch it. If you haven’t watched it since it first came out a decade or so ago, it’s worth re-watching. This documentary had massive impact on the way the world viewed Scientology. And paved the way for so much that has come since - including The Aftermath (which is available for free on Tubi). The story that is told and how is laid out is brilliant — facts about Hubbard and Scientology and interviews are brought together to paint a devastating picture that is beyond dispute. … [Read more...]
STAND League Clown Feeble Effort to Dead-Agent Alex Barnes-Ross
Scientology super-OT Michael Lewis, masquerading as STAND writer Martin Landon -- as Tony Ortega revealed on his Substack -- now has Alex Barnes-Ross in the cross hairs of his poison pen. In the world outside the scientology bubble, this is a badge of honor. It signifies that what Alex is doing to expose scientology's abuses is important enough for them to devote time and effort to "dead-agenting" him. There is no need to read the drivel they put out, it a smorgasbord of lies, half-truths, innuendo and idiocy. I've read the stuff they write about me and it's ludicrous. The same for Leah. … [Read more...]
NEW: Exposing Scientology Podcast — Valerie Ross Scientology FBI Spy
Valerie Ross has a remarkable history in scientology, certainly worthy of a book I hope she writes. This episode focuses on her time in the Guardian's Office, learning what Hubbard wrote about espionage, and then putting this into practice as a spy employed in the Los Angeles office of the FBI. We also talk about her interactions with Hubbard, Mary Sue and Diana. You can listen to the episode at my Buzzsprout site or wherever you get your podcasts. Tony Ortega has published a series of articles authored by Val at his substack. I list them below. Val has her own substack … [Read more...]
David Miscavige — NOT L. Ron Hubbard’s Chosen Successor
Tony Ortega (via Alex Barnes-Ross) commented on an article on STAAD/STAND website celebrating the birthday of Miscavige yesterday. In it, the unnamed sycophant writing the piece (probably someone in OSA or RTC) made the following statement: When the Founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, was ready to pass the torch to a successor, he needed someone who would (1) be up to the task of leading the fastest-growing religion in the world and (2) have the strength, courage and perspicacity to follow through on ensuring the religious technology is available for future generations. David Miscavige … [Read more...]
The Big Lie of Scientology “Arbitration”
I have previously written a number of blog posts about the lie that is scientology's so-called "arbitration" -- a procedure more akin to the Spanish Inquisition than to modern day justice. They operate on the same principles as those inquisitors -- we will torture you until you finally break and give in to what we dictate is the righteous path to be followed. You are not permitted to disagree with us. You are not permitted to even speak or offer evidence in your defense. And we will continue to torture you for as long as we see fit, you are completely at our whim. You can read some … [Read more...]
Hubbard Hype
Scientology continues to foist off blatant lies about L. Ron Hubbard. The "LRH Biographer," Dan Sherman, was never going to produce the authoritative biography of Hubbard because there are so many things that are provable lies about what he claimed about his accomplishments and so many unpleasant aspects of his life, especially his relationships with women, wives and children -- they could never publish anything. And now Dan Sherman has moved off to Target 2 to help Ron do his thing, Miscavige no longer has to pretend that a biography "is being worked on." They … [Read more...]
Miscavige’s Soggy Word Salad
Alex Barnes-Ross managed to get a recording of David Miscavige at the recent March 13 event: There is also a transcript at Tony Ortega's substack if you don't want to torture yourself listening to the drone. I did a post about the empty hype of this event: March 13 Smoke & Mirrors. Stefani Hutchison already debunked one of the big lies in the event (Another "Award" Bites the Dust). The lies are fast and furious but I am not going to delve into more of them here. Now that we have full transcript, I wanted to highlight some of the most ridiculous drivel that the COB spewed forth, v … [Read more...]
Scientology’s “Blood on Your Hands” Lie Continues
Tony Ortega has an excellent piece of investigative journalism on his Substack this morning. When caught in their big lie, scientology of course attempted to squirm out of it by providing a declaration in court that supposedly "proved" they had at least a purported basis for their bs . Turns out, surprise, surprise, they did NOT. Great work Tony. … [Read more...]
