I was either unaware, or had forgotten, that there is a 4th Feshbach brother. A reader sent me a note that about this and I was surprised. The 3 (in)famous scientologists, Joe (now deceased), Matt and Kurt used to be mainstays of the scientology whale pod of wealthy contributors to all causes. They have faded into the background today. As I said, Joe passed away and his wife Cindy moved to Austin (their daughter, Jessica was Katie Holmes' handler and formerly married to Tommy Davis). Matt and Kathy came out second best in their battle with the IRS over $3.8 million in … [Read more...]
Episode 62: The Aftermath OG Amy Scobee
This week we welcome our dear friend Amy Scobee to talk about scientology and celebrities. Amy was in charge of scientology Celebrity Centres for many years. She has a lot of personal experience about how scientology treats its biggest celebrities. She was also the catalyst for The Aftermath when she reached out with the story of her mother, Bonnie. They were featured in the first episode. There's a lot of ground to cover... Note: Some have asked what OG means -- OG is a slang term for someone who's incredibly exceptional, authentic, or “old-school,” someone or something that … [Read more...]
Scientology vs God
When we were talking to Chris Shelton on the Fair Game podcast, we covered some ground concerning the belief in God in Scientology. And recently I saw Jim Meskimen spouting off on the STAAD League and realized it was important to lay out what L. Ron Hubbard said about the subject. Meskimen of course omits all of what is below, but plucks a single Hubbard quote about the fate of societies that do not believe in God to "prove" that scientologists really do believe in God. The quote itself proves nothing. In fact, maybe it was one of Hubbard's cruel jokes on his followers that he … [Read more...]
Episode 34: Journalist and Author John Sweeney
Our friend and scientology nemesis, journalist, author and podcaster John Sweeney, joins us this week. John was for many years a correspondent for the original TV investigative magazine show, Panorama. He did a program about scientology for Panorama in 2007, where I was one of the "handlers" on behalf of scientology. It was a catalyst for me leaving -- I was in London defending scientology and Miscavige from the "chaos merchants" at the BBC. After I had left, I did a second Panorama show with John explaining some of the things that had happened in that first program. We had a lot to … [Read more...]
Why Do Scientologists Lie?
I originally posted a version of this in early 2017. I have updated it with additional information and quotes. It's important, especially in light of the ongoing prosecution of Danny Masterson, other investigations, and civil cases. Anyone who confronts scientology witnesses needs to understand the nature of the beast. While repeatedly asserting that they are "the most ethical group on earth" and that they are constantly having to "get rid of" people who "cannot live up to their ethical standards," in truth, every dedicated scientologist is a liar. Why? The short answer: … [Read more...]
Fast Eddie Parkin: Scientology Sockpuppet Hypocrite
The sockpuppet who heads the "Stand League", Ed Parkin, is the poster child for scientology crazy. Fast Eddie has been a low-level gofor in the Office of Special Affairs for many years. As I recall, he started out as Heber's administrative assistant sometime in the late 80's or early 90's and has remained a drone since then. He is the "face" of the "Stand League" and he has his "own" Twitter account. Though I have never commented on any of his posts, and he tweets at me often, he has me blocked. So do the Stand League. And like the Stand League and every other OSA twitter account … [Read more...]
The Black Bag Department
See my announcement on Friday -- I am revisiting earlier posts during my vacation. Each day there will be a different one. Marty has been doing a good job of exposing the unalterable policies of the church concerning dealing with perceived enemies. One aspect not much discussed is who are the "outside professionals" hired to do the dirty work. And while there is a lot that is done by Sea Org OSA staff, Class V (local DSAs like Mark Warburg and John Carmichael) and public Scientologists (John Allender, Ed Bryan and Co) there is work that requires specific skills, including licenses to … [Read more...]
Disconnection — Scientology’s Nasty Secret
While Scientology spokespeople have routinely denied that “enforced disconnection exists”, anyone who is familiar with the Corporate Church of Scientology knows only too well about disconnection. Like so much else in the Corporate Scientology empire, its an ugly truth to be hidden from the “wog” world through a game of carefully worded deception of the same order as Bill Clinton’s infamous “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” When you see a church spokespeople emphatically state “there is no policy of enforced disconnection” in Scientology, the language is carefully chosen. … [Read more...]
The ex-SO Hall of Shame
There are those who have left the Sea Org who were once privy to events in the world of David Miscavige. Many of them were in The Hole at one time or another. Rather than speaking out about the abuses they witnessed or experience, they have chosen to remain silent. A number of them have taken advantage of their previous status to make money with or through scientologists. Some of them took healthy payouts. Probably more than the $50,000 that was handed to Debbie Cook -- though scientology then sued her for her supposed breach of that agreement and had their asses handed to them in a … [Read more...]
Scientology Homophobia
Is scientology homophobic? There has been considerable discussion about this. In today's world, where it is no longer socially acceptable to be anti-gay, scientology has taken steps to attempt to portray itself as tolerant and welcoming of the LGBT community. But similar to scientology's claims that disconnection "doesn't exist" or is simply a "personal choice," the PR smokescreen hides an ugly and unpleasant reality. At its heart, scientology IS very homophobic. Here is the truth as I experienced it, growing up in scientology and then being a senior official in the church for many … [Read more...]
