Haven't seen mention of the notorious Tony Mo -- Tony Muhammad (he now goes by Abdul Malik Sayyid Muhammad) -- for some time. He suddenly re-appears at an event hawking "Super Power"... For those unfamiliar, Tony is a big cheese in the Nation of Islam and was the original grifter who came into the scientology world through one of scientology's great scamsters, the Reverend Alfreddie Johnson. Alfraudie helped introduce the NOI to the world of scientology, a marriage made in hell. Tony was awarded the prestigious and coveted (at least inside the bubble) IAS Freedom Medal... I have … [Read more...]
Scientology Is Offended
The LA Mayors race really got scientology hot and bothered. When Rick Caruso made it an issue that his opponent, Karen Bass, had attended a scientology ribbon cutting event, it turned scientology into a hot topic. I wrote about this previously: Karen Bass -- L.A. Mayoral Candidate So, the STAND League rallied their troops. To do what? Call and complain about the "bigotry"... The problem they have, is BOTH candidates have taken an anti-scientology stance. With the STAND League letter writing campaign (see: Scientology Massively Unpopular) apparently ineffective, they resorted to … [Read more...]
Scientology Anti-Semitism Hypocrisy — Using the ADL
This is a couple of weeks old now, but the hypocrisy remains current and fresh... Scientology seeking to gain credibility for itself by pretending to align with the ADL. Of course, scientology CLAIMS they "stand with the ADL" and are champions who fight at every turn against anti-Semitism. But what is the real story? Scientology fully supports the Nation of Islam, and presented its highest recognition (the "IAS Freedom Medal") to Tony Muhammad (he now goes by Abdul Malik Sayyid Muhammad). This is very well documented in numerous previous articles on this blog (and elsewhere) … [Read more...]
More Scientology Anti-Semitic Hypocrisy
The STAND Leagues crazies carry on as if their lies are not noticed. Sockpuppet Norm Shannon just put forth a new plea to end anti-Semitism under the guise of explaining Rosh Hashanah. He says: Hate crimes, according to the report, overall increased by 6 percent over the previous year with nearly 60 percent of the incidents targeting Jews and the Jewish community. There is no question there has been a marked rise in hate directed at Jews. Far right groups have been stirring the anti-Semitic pot over recent years. Norm goes on to quote Jewish leaders and expresses his moral outrage … [Read more...]
The Astonishing Hypocrisy of Scientology’s STAND League
The STAND League has me on a bit of a roll. This ragtag collection of "defenders of the faith" (some of them no doubt doing an "amends project" for some transgression, others doing it to gain "eligibility" for their OT levels) comes up with the craziest stuff. They try to categorize people by association. When Hollis Jane Andrews tweeted about a crazy list of duties for a babysitter job for a scientologist, she earned the ire of the passengers in the STAAD league clown car. Nobody claimed the bonkers list of demands she included were untrue, they simply went after her as a … [Read more...]
Mad Scientologist John Mappin At It Again
This guy is a walking disaster zone. He probably thinks this is "good" media. He is well known as a scientologist, in fact identified here as a "Scientologist and soft porn actor..." This is a recent tweet from him... It seems there are a good number of scientologists who have fallen prey to the Q conspiracy theories. They show up o0n social media and in emails that circulate around inside the bubble. It's not much of a leap from the ramblings of Hubbard about the government, world bank, Big Pharma, psychs etc etc to the wild claims of Q. The … [Read more...]
The “Scare-Mongering” of CCHR
It is always entertaining to read the propaganda sent out by CCHR accusing psychiatry of "scare-mongering." Anyone familiar with CCHR (and scientology in general) is aware that their reason for existing is to "scare-monger" about psychology and psychiatry. How scary is it that they are saying they need to be prepared for a spike in demand as a result of the pandemic? You bet scientology briefings to solicit “donations” are talking about the trauma and “restimulation” of people who all need help and that orgs should be getting them in.... And a "racism pandemic"? How dare they say … [Read more...]
The Hypocrisy of Scientology Knows No Bounds
Once again, scientology demonstrates "do as I say, not as I do" -- following the well-trod path of founder, L. Ron Hubbard. Here again we see the so-called "Stand League" (I prefer to call it by its true acronym, STAAD -- "scientologists taking action against discrimination") railing against anti-Semitism in one of their recent blog posts. This is their attempt to present themselves as champions of religious freedom and speech by taking a sure-to-gain-agreement stance that anti-Semitism is to be deplored. How brave. How noble. Old Martin Landon has really gone out on a limb … [Read more...]
STAND is Woke
OK, so a little more from our friends at the STAND League. The "Reverend" Ed Parkin has some vetted and cleared "volunteers" who write things for him and they put them on their STAND League blog. It is pretty much inevitable that every item somehow worms its way to rail against Leah Remini (and often me). No matter what piece of news or view they are expressing, somehow all roads lead to Remini and Rinder. This is one of their latest pieces. And I comment on a few notably ironies within it. It doesn't matter who Liv Watson is. All OSA flunkies are the same. They might sometimes write … [Read more...]
“Men of Goodwill” — like Tony Muhammad?
Here are some words of wisdom from "HAPI" (the oddly inappropriate acronym for the always small and failing lone scientology outpost in Scotland). The pitch about "men of goodwill" is taken straight from the Way to Happiness. Of course, scientologists believe they are the epitome of "men of goodwill" as everything they do, including taking people's money and breaking up families, is for the good of mankind. But this promotional piece is worthy of note for what comes AFTER the helpful advice from Ron. The example they chose of a "man of goodwill." Tony Muhammad... Apparently this … [Read more...]
