I for one am very happy to have found a tribe where I can express my bitterness, my broken heart and my love for our friends, here on Mike’s blog. We all need a place to be able to speak what we are going through, when we need to speak it.
Whether people are still in, out, rabidly against or are what you call “KSW Indies” of Scientology, it’s still theraputic to hear what everyone has to say. Even, and especially those under the radar or on the fence need to hear all views.
Whether we influence people to change or not, every word plants a seed – we just don’t know what will grow from that seed.
Just call me Johnny Appleseed. 😉
Either way, our strength is what we speak. What others do with it is their strength.

Like you, I love the way this blog allow to express all possible angles and viewpoints about the subject called Scientology and LRH. Quite sometime ago, I was Dead-filed at a PRO-LRH blog bacause my revolucionary ideas threatened their convenient status quo as I wasn’t “going with the flow” , but was publicly and noisely expressing my discontents with many vital and urgent issues. So I have a firm reality on how it feels to be censured and suppressed at the Freedom of Speech right.
For quite some time, I got to confess, that I thought that Mike was full of shit. “How dare him allow all this crazy bitterly hurt apostates say any fucking thing they want to say about Scn and LRH ?” , was my usual idea about his blog. “These people are just a bunch of lunatics” , was another idea I held on to. I was blind as a bat, and still heavily under the spell of a VERY clever and insidious leadership (LRH). “Why are they so bent on destroying LRH’s image, and invalidating the Tech ?” , was a question that I usually answered with, “They are just full of Missed Withholds and probably are just failed cases”. I had been cleverly indoctrinated into that way of thinking for decades! It blocked correct inspection.
At the end Mike turned out to be the individual with the most tolerance for multiple viewpoints that I have ever met. He allowed FREE communication to occur on the subject , and I had never been used to that kind of freedom. I have a very long list of great individuals that have influenced me in more ways that I can possibly realize.

Somewhere else on the blog you said, which is not a paraphrase but just my take on it was “Don’t try to outthink Hubbard – You’ll lose” lol
I’m new to blogging and came back to reexamine my scio experience after watching the hbo doc.

TC : Got , dear Richard , that’s what I am trying to decide on a personal basis ; whether to use the good parts of Scn , and modify the whole philosophy to make something good out of it , or if I just need to start from scratch with a totally new sets of axioms and logics , and go from there. I don’t want to abandon the field of applied philosophy. I believe that honest and workable works in this field is of the essence. But it must be done by individuals with an incredible understanding and support towards each and everyone of the Human Rights , free from any strict dogmas, fundamentalism , and tyrannical authoritarianism. I am very much willing to accept that challenge. Perhaps that’s exactly what I was meant to do with my life.

Another Peter ringing in. 🙂 If you had some personal gains from something in scn, they are YOUR gains, not scns. I came away with a lot of very positive awarenesses and tools. But I never ascribed them to LRH, the auditor, the C/S or anyone else. I don’t actually know where Hubbard got most of his stuff. And don’t care. I learned what worked for me, took ownership of my new views and left when things really began to stink, especially in the early 80s. If you find something workable that you spotted personally while in, why the hell not keep using it. If it turns out that in more use of it that you find it’s not as good as you thought, just jettison it then as something you tried. However old you are, you’ve surely done that many times already. It’s called experience and growing.

“why the hell not keep using it” It would seem that by “using IT” then the IT is really not part of “me”. If a realization is permanent it wouldn’t have to be consciously “used”.
Scn promotes wins as precious (success stories) but most of them (some people say all of them) are ephemeral. Just my think on it.

I can’t say that part for sure, but, in the beginning, that wasn’t what the book was supposed to be about.

It is a lot of fun joking about these things to just relax and become non-serious about it all , but the truth of the matter is that this is all very sad ; very sad indeed.
Most Scientologists, Still-ins and even a lot of KSW Indies, are trapped in the falsity of Scientology’s “Total Freedom”. If they knew for certain that it all was pure hype from LRH, and that he actually died as a totally powerless individual, they wouldn’t last not even a single day in an Org.
The ONLY reason they stay is for the promise of “OT” , and for nothing more. I have a VERY hard time trying to reconcile the good parts that I KNOW Scn has, with the fact that LRH fooled us all regarding Clear and OT. I just can’t put the two together, and it upset me not being certain. I only wish that I could have a chat with David Mayo if he still is alive. I don’t care that he isn’t into anything having to do with Scn anymore. A talk with him would clear a lot of things for me. Only him or Otto would be able to answer the Qs that I still have.
The fact is that as time goes by , I find it more difficult each time to sit down and read LRH. It has turned dull , tedious, and quite uninteresting.
A friend of mine (an Anti-Scn when I still was pretty much into LRH even if not a KSW Adherent) used to tell me, whenever I sent him LRH stuff to read, that he hated LRH’s “mental diarrhea” (refering to the term “verbal diarrhea- meaningless tedious and continuous talk- ). At the time I couldn’t possibly understand what the hell he meant by that.
Coincidentally enough, I now have a SOLID reality on what he meant by that. My God! , LRH talks so much rubbish before getting to the point in question , that it is intensely exasperating. I find it extremely difficult now to sit down and listen to any of his lectures. HCOBs, I still can manage somehow, but lectures!!! , oh God, they are a torture. For each 20 pages of lecture , there are perhaps no more than 3-4 pages of actual technical data. I bet that KSW adherents will be looking at each other now and saying, “See ? , I told you, Theta Clear has A LOT of M/Us on the Tech, that’s why he has become so critical ?”. I can almost hear them say that.

Anyway, I am not even sure if I am still interested in continuing posting at Scn-related blogs, Anti(s) and Pro(s) is just the same. It all has become so meaningless to me, w/out any specific goal in sight , that I am no longer enjoying it to any appreciable degree. So perhaps there won’t be a Theta Clear any much longer. Or perhaps I am just too bored today ; I don’t know. It all seems so empty.
ThetaClear, I am confused. If you are the same ThetaClear (Peter) who posted frequently at Alonzo’s blog, you have provided me with MANY repeat MANY invaluable insights. I thought you had concluded that IT DOESN’T WORK. I have incorporated some of your insights into my own way of thinking. What’s happening here? Are you still trying to make Scientology work?
Dear Richard, it is me who is confuse now. I know Alanzo, of course, and he had posted 1 or 2x at his blog some of my posts at the BIC blog. I only posted directly on his blog like 2x , though ; not that I mind posting there at all. He is a very intelligent and insightful individual. But as far as being a “frequent” poster there, no, I am afraid I have never been.
Regardless , I am quite content that you have found value and usefulness in my posts. Perhaps you would like to check them again ; though I have always been very open, honest and direct in relation to the inherent destructiveness of many of Scientology’s practices and methods , I have never ever asserted that it doesn’t work in any way. Perhaps you are confusing me with someone else, or is someone copying me?
I am not trying to make Scn work ; it works in various degrees even though it never produces its advertized results , specially as regards to Clear and OT (which includes stable exteriorization with full perception and mobility). I can’t honestly say that Scn has not worked for me to a certain degree. That would be intellectual dishonesty from my part. However, its destructive parts are just too many, and I am beginning to lose interest. That’s all.
I am tired of posting at blogs ; either Pro or Anti. I am tired of LRH and his mental diarrhea. I am tired of DM and his robots. I am tired of the strict KSW adherents. I am tired of the haters. I am tired of all this shit already. I am beginning to think that I might be losing my time with all my comments and posts. Most of them just falls in deaf ears anyway. Most people are stuck in the extremes : Scn is all good, or Scn is all bad.This feels like a never ending game ; like a compulsion. I don’t know ; I am probably just overwhelmed with all this.
This seems to be endemic. This has nothing to do with DM. The man has as much power as others are plain stupid. Perhaps there is no hope for man ; he might be destined to be cultish about things, and easily influenced. I sincerely hope not. I don’t know, I think I need to redefine myself, and decide if what I am doing is worth pursuing.

Dear Peter, How do you know? Normally I would not respond to you now, but I like you to know that I read most comments without responding, so do others. There were so many people who helped me through my decompression period with their comments. On another blog I get sometimes to my astonishment up-votes to comments I wrote weeks ago. So people do read and are interested. Do not underestimate the value of comments just because you don’t get responses.
On the other side, if you are tired of it all – YES, it’s a good thing to back away (many did) and as you said “to redefine myself, and decide if what I am doing is worth pursuing”. It’s all evolving and sometimes it just doesn’t fit anymore. But in your “farewell speech” swings a lot of sadness. All I can suggest is, do as you feel and … you always can come back if you feel like it.

Do not be concerned, dear ; I am always here for you. I just get desperate sometimes because we seems to be fighting the wrong target here : David Miscavige. I assure you that if we cut one head, another one will grow in its place with the same attributes.
The problem with the CofS has as the apparent cause , DM ; but its problem is more like a disease endemic to human nature : susceptibility to undue influence. THAT’S the real target to attack. When DM had gone, other cult leader will replace him, rest assure. If the CofS gets destroyed by Media propaganda and pushed into oblivion by taxation, all those people who blindly followed DM and LRH WILL continue to follow them or another substitute when they realize that they had been fooled by them. But their tendency for cultism won’t necessarily be handled.
I mean, look at all those strick KSW followers. Even after leaving the CofS and being exposed to all the Media, they STILL misguidedly cling to false ideals and false idols. No matter how well and respectfully I present well-researched arguments to prove the inherent falsity and destructiveness of many parts of Scn and LRH , they are damn blind as a bat. This will be a de-PTSing website to finally handle the ONLY possible “SP” that can really harm us : Low self-esteem and self-respect.
Only an individual with low self-esteem and low self-respect can become the victim of a cult leader and a dictator. Only an individual with low self-esteem and low self-respect can succumb to impulses to hate and punish.
Self-esteem and self-respect tranlates into CERTAINTY OF SELF and POWER OF CHOICE. It translate into HONOR and INTEGRITY. It translate into STRENGTH And KINDNESS.
So dear Annn, there is Theta Clear for a long, long time. The website will be up and running within the next 4-6 months. It is going to be very interesting, balanced, well researched, very informative, full of hope and workable solutions.

The phenom that I’m seeing several PT instances of it that of family members (in numerous various families) who simply prefer NOT to comment to other family members, TRY to respect that the other members are not yet awake, and then the asleep family members decide that they really need to persist on getting the “no comment” family members to get into the org to get their upsets or etc handled. In other words, they actually think that the one who does not want to engage has “lost his or her way” and accordingly, the right thing to do is to INSIST that they do get “handled”. I have seen it does with high ARC, low ARC, no ARC, with KR’s, covert 3-P, you name it. Frickin’ amazing! What I came to realize is that the sheeple who did this have simply not ever given a thought to the potential that MAYBE ,just MAYBE, all that LRH said is NOT all correct, is not the 100% last word, etc.
Sadly in retrospect, I operated for many years with this deadly false piece of info: ” If I study something and it disagrees with what Ron said on the same subject, I would always default to Ron”.. Worse though, is that second bit: “If I was then confused by how Ron viewed it, it simply meant That I had misunderstood words, etc. UGH, I think I am going to be sick just from typing this…

My take on this one is that you have captured the essence of an advanced, ultra modern or should I dare say, “new era” scientology auditing session.
Every once in a awhile the conditions manifest themselves where two card carrying scios actually go into session, i.e. the unthinkable and the unsayable are actually communicated without punishment. And it goes completely above and beyond the miscavige implant. Oh, what a cracker of a scenario! So ‘as-isness’ does indeed exist and is given playtime.

What a poignant, true-to-life RB today. In reflection, I cannot think of a single relationship that I had of any sort while “in” that was not negatively affected by Scientology’s stifling of communication (no verbal tech, can’t talk about case, can’t say or think anything negative, have to be “up tone” at all times, can’t listen to entheta, etc.) an overt control of who could even have a relationship. So sad in retrospect.
Off topic but breaking news. The horrific Public Relations moves of the Church of Scientology that place a burden on every Scientologist.
The C of S has lost it’s tax exempt status in Hague.
Their response is to attack the judge!! “A spokesperson called the judge’s ruling “discrimination based on religious beliefs”. Wrong item wrong indication, is was based on your inventory prices and profit!!! Who set those prices? David Miscavige is exactly why they lost tax status. Mismanagement.
The Mormon Church also lost it’s tax exempt status in an area of England on property tax.
Their response? “The church’s United Kingdom spokesman, Malcom Adcock, said, “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints respects the decision of the Strasbourg court, ……”
Every time the “spokeperson” for the Church of Scientology “makes a statement”, they (David) CREATE more enemies for Scientology and Scientologists! This man does not have the slightest understanding of a simple ARC triangle!! Either that or he thinks it is of no importance. Yes, I mean David Miscavige. Every day that man wakes up and sits at his desk, he makes life harder and more difficult for the Scientology community. And he hires himself and pays himself to do it!

You’re right about this. I tried selling stuff on Craig’s List and Ebay and couldn’t give it away. But two things I did save to give to the highest bidder are: Strike It Rich Sales Prospecting Techniques” and “Big League Sales Techniques” which are the same book only reissued under different titles, by Les Dane. These are out of print and since LRH recommended the books the KA drinkers want them bad. I”ll start the bidding here. Anyone here want one or both of these books? Make me an offer I cant’ refuse.

I was able to unload my complete library years ago. Sold the whole kit-n-kaboodle to a friend of Laura M. in Happy Valley. Even though I was only able to get pennies on the dollar, it was better than a swift kick in the ass. Some poor sap got the goods without having to endure a ‘reg cycle’ at the org bookstore and I got enough money to buy a few lattes. It also cleared out a huge space in my apartment that I was actually able to put to good use for something worthwhile rather than a well concealed repository for the chronicles of the biggest con in the history of the world. I just hope whoever purchased the goods is out and sharing the same freedoms that I enjoy as an ex scientologist. I’m afraid that freedom is lost on Laura M. To the best of my knowledge she is still in and sipping the kool-aid. Sad. I remember one of the last times I talked to her in person many years ago. She had just completed OT III and shared with me that it was “no big deal, I don’t see what people think is so great about it”. Still, she hasn’t left after doing whatever other bridge actions that probably had about the same results. Sadder still.
Cindy, I have those two intending to sell some day along with some first editions. But that’s all I got and have not needed any of what I tossed and am doing just fine. Fancy that 🙂

Thank you very much. No doubt there’s enough material out there to create a daily strip but sadly, each strip can take from 6 to 12 hours to put together and then it takes 6 days to recover. If the cartoon includes COB I usually have to undergo a couple hours of mild alcohol therapy after I’m done just to get my bearings back to a saner environment. once again, thanks for reading them and commenting.

Don’t know if it was true, but I remember a story by an ex who heard from all members from one family they were done, but kept up appearances to the other members because they were all afraid of disconnection. After the ex told them in some family meeting that all members wanted to get out they did: as one happy family.

“Money-grubbing” reminded me of a time in years past when someone at the local mission recruited a gang banger who was on the run from LA. Either the Bloods or the Crips were after this small-time criminal. However, despite being a cocky little prick, he was treated like royalty at the mission because he was flashy and appeared to have access to lots of money. (And so what if it might have been drug money!) Ah … the most ethical group on the planet!
Yep, saw exactly the same type of thing a few times.
In fact one time I did the first ever interview on this one guy in the mid 80s. He just came off a decade of psychotherapy and really liked his booze. I wrote it all up and carried on with my thing but this guy was very personable, dressed well and handed over $30k. He was then treated like royalty.
Saw him going into session about a week later. I enquired with the CS what’s going on? I was told to shut the f… up.
A few days after that, BIG FLAP! This guy threw a fit, demanded his money back etc, then appeared in the academy drunk, before being finally shown the door.
Nothing like an “ideal product” from the most ethical group on the planet hey? Money is ethics in the RCS.
Wow. How many families are trained by Scientology to be wary of what they say to each other due to the outside threat from the church? How many have had their social norms so discombobulated as to believe that the church is where their real familial obligation lies and their actual family is 3rd party and dangerous? This week’s RB paints a happy picture because it depicts an escape in real time, but makes me sad because it reminds that the normal situation in Scientology is the life these characters were leading up until the moment of that conversation.
This one is so true but sadly not the same ending for me. Unfortunately for me I was the “woman” saying these things, but the “man” would not even consider to look and investigate. A KR was written and the CS said get divorced if you ever want to finish OTVII. So guess what happened? I still can’t believe someone would choose the church over your spouse. It is still unbelievable to me.

I am so sorry to hear that story, Pete2. And we’ve heard the similar sickening tales so many times, including from our host here on this blog. This demonstrates the power of Hubbard’s clever system of control of his congregation and Miscavige’s reinforcement and enhancement of it. We often say that it’s not the doctrine of Scientology that’s the issue, but the practices of the COS, and I mostly agree. This problem is rooted in fundamentalist religious belief.
I hope they all are. May all families find the strength to be honest with each other. May all “religions”** honor the family unit more then their bank accounts.

Like you, I love the way this blog allow to express all possible angles and viewpoints about the subject called Scientology and LRH. Quite sometime ago, I was Dead-filed at a PRO-LRH blog bacause my revolucionary ideas threatened their convenient status quo as I wasn’t “going with the flow” , but was publicly and noisely expressing my discontents with many vital and urgent issues. So I have a firm reality on how it feels to be censured and suppressed at the Freedom of Speech right.
For quite some time, I got to confess, that I thought that Mike was full of shit. “How dare him allow all this crazy bitterly hurt apostates say any fucking thing they want to say about Scn and LRH ?” , was my usual idea about his blog. “These people are just a bunch of lunatics” , was another idea I held on to. I was blind as a bat, and still heavily under the spell of a VERY clever and insidious leadership (LRH). “Why are they so bent on destroying LRH’s image, and invalidating the Tech ?” , was a question that I usually answered with, “They are just full of Missed Withholds and probably are just failed cases”. I had been cleverly indoctrinated into that way of thinking for decades! It blocked correct inspection.
At the end Mike turned out to be the individual with the most tolerance for multiple viewpoints that I have ever met. He allowed FREE communication to occur on the subject , and I had never been used to that kind of freedom. I have a very long list of great individuals that have influenced me in more ways that I can possibly realize.

I’m new to blogging and came back to reexamine my scio experience after watching the hbo doc.

Yes I agree that scn has some dramatic benefits, but for me the risk is not worth the reward.

TC : Got , dear Richard , that’s what I am trying to decide on a personal basis ; whether to use the good parts of Scn , and modify the whole philosophy to make something good out of it , or if I just need to start from scratch with a totally new sets of axioms and logics , and go from there. I don’t want to abandon the field of applied philosophy. I believe that honest and workable works in this field is of the essence. But it must be done by individuals with an incredible understanding and support towards each and everyone of the Human Rights , free from any strict dogmas, fundamentalism , and tyrannical authoritarianism. I am very much willing to accept that challenge. Perhaps that’s exactly what I was meant to do with my life.

Another Peter ringing in. 🙂 If you had some personal gains from something in scn, they are YOUR gains, not scns. I came away with a lot of very positive awarenesses and tools. But I never ascribed them to LRH, the auditor, the C/S or anyone else. I don’t actually know where Hubbard got most of his stuff. And don’t care. I learned what worked for me, took ownership of my new views and left when things really began to stink, especially in the early 80s. If you find something workable that you spotted personally while in, why the hell not keep using it. If it turns out that in more use of it that you find it’s not as good as you thought, just jettison it then as something you tried. However old you are, you’ve surely done that many times already. It’s called experience and growing.

“why the hell not keep using it” It would seem that by “using IT” then the IT is really not part of “me”. If a realization is permanent it wouldn’t have to be consciously “used”.
Scn promotes wins as precious (success stories) but most of them (some people say all of them) are ephemeral. Just my think on it.

I know from a friend that Ron did not want to and wasn’t planning to write anything about little Dave at the beginning. Just his experience with Scn. Through my friend, I encouraged him to write about his experience and thoughts about his son. I don’t think he really, honestly wanted to do that until he heard the “Let him die” story. I can’t say that part for sure, but, in the beginning, that wasn’t what the book was supposed to be about.

Most Scientologists, Still-ins and even a lot of KSW Indies, are trapped in the falsity of Scientology’s “Total Freedom”. If they knew for certain that it all was pure hype from LRH, and that he actually died as a totally powerless individual, they wouldn’t last not even a single day in an Org.
The ONLY reason they stay is for the promise of “OT” , and for nothing more. I have a VERY hard time trying to reconcile the good parts that I KNOW Scn has, with the fact that LRH fooled us all regarding Clear and OT. I just can’t put the two together, and it upset me not being certain. I only wish that I could have a chat with David Mayo if he still is alive. I don’t care that he isn’t into anything having to do with Scn anymore. A talk with him would clear a lot of things for me. Only him or Otto would be able to answer the Qs that I still have.
The fact is that as time goes by , I find it more difficult each time to sit down and read LRH. It has turned dull , tedious, and quite uninteresting.
A friend of mine (an Anti-Scn when I still was pretty much into LRH even if not a KSW Adherent) used to tell me, whenever I sent him LRH stuff to read, that he hated LRH’s “mental diarrhea” (refering to the term “verbal diarrhea- meaningless tedious and continuous talk- ). At the time I couldn’t possibly understand what the hell he meant by that.
Coincidentally enough, I now have a SOLID reality on what he meant by that. My God! , LRH talks so much rubbish before getting to the point in question , that it is intensely exasperating. I find it extremely difficult now to sit down and listen to any of his lectures. HCOBs, I still can manage somehow, but lectures!!! , oh God, they are a torture. For each 20 pages of lecture , there are perhaps no more than 3-4 pages of actual technical data. I bet that KSW adherents will be looking at each other now and saying, “See ? , I told you, Theta Clear has A LOT of M/Us on the Tech, that’s why he has become so critical ?”. I can almost hear them say that.

Anyway, I am not even sure if I am still interested in continuing posting at Scn-related blogs, Anti(s) and Pro(s) is just the same. It all has become so meaningless to me, w/out any specific goal in sight , that I am no longer enjoying it to any appreciable degree. So perhaps there won’t be a Theta Clear any much longer. Or perhaps I am just too bored today ; I don’t know. It all seems so empty.

Dear Richard, it is me who is confuse now. I know Alanzo, of course, and he had posted 1 or 2x at his blog some of my posts at the BIC blog. I only posted directly on his blog like 2x , though ; not that I mind posting there at all. He is a very intelligent and insightful individual. But as far as being a “frequent” poster there, no, I am afraid I have never been.
Regardless , I am quite content that you have found value and usefulness in my posts. Perhaps you would like to check them again ; though I have always been very open, honest and direct in relation to the inherent destructiveness of many of Scientology’s practices and methods , I have never ever asserted that it doesn’t work in any way. Perhaps you are confusing me with someone else, or is someone copying me?
I am not trying to make Scn work ; it works in various degrees even though it never produces its advertized results , specially as regards to Clear and OT (which includes stable exteriorization with full perception and mobility). I can’t honestly say that Scn has not worked for me to a certain degree. That would be intellectual dishonesty from my part. However, its destructive parts are just too many, and I am beginning to lose interest. That’s all.
I am tired of posting at blogs ; either Pro or Anti. I am tired of LRH and his mental diarrhea. I am tired of DM and his robots. I am tired of the strict KSW adherents. I am tired of the haters. I am tired of all this shit already. I am beginning to think that I might be losing my time with all my comments and posts. Most of them just falls in deaf ears anyway. Most people are stuck in the extremes : Scn is all good, or Scn is all bad.This feels like a never ending game ; like a compulsion. I don’t know ; I am probably just overwhelmed with all this.
This seems to be endemic. This has nothing to do with DM. The man has as much power as others are plain stupid. Perhaps there is no hope for man ; he might be destined to be cultish about things, and easily influenced. I sincerely hope not. I don’t know, I think I need to redefine myself, and decide if what I am doing is worth pursuing.

Dear Peter, How do you know? Normally I would not respond to you now, but I like you to know that I read most comments without responding, so do others. There were so many people who helped me through my decompression period with their comments. On another blog I get sometimes to my astonishment up-votes to comments I wrote weeks ago. So people do read and are interested. Do not underestimate the value of comments just because you don’t get responses.
On the other side, if you are tired of it all – YES, it’s a good thing to back away (many did) and as you said “to redefine myself, and decide if what I am doing is worth pursuing”. It’s all evolving and sometimes it just doesn’t fit anymore. But in your “farewell speech” swings a lot of sadness. All I can suggest is, do as you feel and … you always can come back if you feel like it.

Do not be concerned, dear ; I am always here for you. I just get desperate sometimes because we seems to be fighting the wrong target here : David Miscavige. I assure you that if we cut one head, another one will grow in its place with the same attributes.
The problem with the CofS has as the apparent cause , DM ; but its problem is more like a disease endemic to human nature : susceptibility to undue influence. THAT’S the real target to attack. When DM had gone, other cult leader will replace him, rest assure. If the CofS gets destroyed by Media propaganda and pushed into oblivion by taxation, all those people who blindly followed DM and LRH WILL continue to follow them or another substitute when they realize that they had been fooled by them. But their tendency for cultism won’t necessarily be handled.
I mean, look at all those strick KSW followers. Even after leaving the CofS and being exposed to all the Media, they STILL misguidedly cling to false ideals and false idols. No matter how well and respectfully I present well-researched arguments to prove the inherent falsity and destructiveness of many parts of Scn and LRH , they are damn blind as a bat. I think that I will put a very old idea of mine in practice : a website intended to address this craziness , this malady that affects so many. I’ll start with Scientology itself. Its tittle :

This will be a de-PTSing website to finally handle the ONLY possible “SP” that can really harm us : Low self-esteem and self-respect.
Only an individual with low self-esteem and low self-respect can become the victim of a cult leader and a dictator. Only an individual with low self-esteem and low self-respect can succumb to impulses to hate and punish.
Self-esteem and self-respect tranlates into CERTAINTY OF SELF and POWER OF CHOICE. It translate into HONOR and INTEGRITY. It translate into STRENGTH And KINDNESS.
So dear Annn, there is Theta Clear for a long, long time. The website will be up and running within the next 4-6 months. It is going to be very interesting, balanced, well researched, very informative, full of hope and workable solutions.

The phenom that I’m seeing several PT instances of it that of family members (in numerous various families) who simply prefer NOT to comment to other family members, TRY to respect that the other members are not yet awake, and then the asleep family members decide that they really need to persist on getting the “no comment” family members to get into the org to get their upsets or etc handled. In other words, they actually think that the one who does not want to engage has “lost his or her way” and accordingly, the right thing to do is to INSIST that they do get “handled”. I have seen it does with high ARC, low ARC, no ARC, with KR’s, covert 3-P, you name it. Frickin’ amazing! What I came to realize is that the sheeple who did this have simply not ever given a thought to the potential that MAYBE ,just MAYBE, all that LRH said is NOT all correct, is not the 100% last word, etc.
Sadly in retrospect, I operated for many years with this deadly false piece of info: ” If I study something and it disagrees with what Ron said on the same subject, I would always default to Ron”.. Worse though, is that second bit: “If I was then confused by how Ron viewed it, it simply meant That I had misunderstood words, etc. UGH, I think I am going to be sick just from typing this…

But two things I did save to give to the highest bidder are: Strike It Rich Sales Prospecting Techniques” and “Big League Sales Techniques” which are the same book only reissued under different titles, by Les Dane. These are out of print and since LRH recommended the books the KA drinkers want them bad. I”ll start the bidding here. Anyone here want one or both of these books? Make me an offer I cant’ refuse.

I was able to unload my complete library years ago. Sold the whole kit-n-kaboodle to a friend of Laura M. in Happy Valley. Even though I was only able to get pennies on the dollar, it was better than a swift kick in the ass. Some poor sap got the goods without having to endure a ‘reg cycle’ at the org bookstore and I got enough money to buy a few lattes. It also cleared out a huge space in my apartment that I was actually able to put to good use for something worthwhile rather than a well concealed repository for the chronicles of the biggest con in the history of the world. I just hope whoever purchased the goods is out and sharing the same freedoms that I enjoy as an ex scientologist. I’m afraid that freedom is lost on Laura M. To the best of my knowledge she is still in and sipping the kool-aid. Sad. I remember one of the last times I talked to her in person many years ago. She had just completed OT III and shared with me that it was “no big deal, I don’t see what people think is so great about it”. Still, she hasn’t left after doing whatever other bridge actions that probably had about the same results. Sadder still.

Thank you very much. No doubt there’s enough material out there to create a daily strip but sadly, each strip can take from 6 to 12 hours to put together and then it takes 6 days to recover. If the cartoon includes COB I usually have to undergo a couple hours of mild alcohol therapy after I’m done just to get my bearings back to a saner environment. once again, thanks for reading them and commenting.
I hear you. Fooled around with the graphic arts for awhile and know what you are saying. I also did stained glass – now there’s a real insanity machine. It’s bad enough but to repeat the same thing over and over = alcohol therapy 5.4X

Don’t know if it was true, but I remember a story by an ex who heard from all members from one family they were done, but kept up appearances to the other members because they were all afraid of disconnection. After the ex told them in some family meeting that all members wanted to get out they did: as one happy family.

It’s all about rubbing salt into the wound now. Your money and disillusionment is all that matters to miscavige – his followers are all in a trance like state and are beyond internal recovery. It will take an outside influence to rid the world of present plague that is known as scientology.

There is a sixth sense when talking with other clams. It’s pretty easy to know where someone is regarding Scientology. The RB story happened to me, what a relief. The cherch rules with fear which cuts communication. True hypocrisy.

“Money-grubbing” reminded me of a time in years past when someone at the local mission recruited a gang banger who was on the run from LA. Either the Bloods or the Crips were after this small-time criminal. However, despite being a cocky little prick, he was treated like royalty at the mission because he was flashy and appeared to have access to lots of money. (And so what if it might have been drug money!) Ah … the most ethical group on the planet!
Yep, saw exactly the same type of thing a few times.
In fact one time I did the first ever interview on this one guy in the mid 80s. He just came off a decade of psychotherapy and really liked his booze. I wrote it all up and carried on with my thing but this guy was very personable, dressed well and handed over $30k. He was then treated like royalty.
Saw him going into session about a week later. I enquired with the CS what’s going on? I was told to shut the f… up.
A few days after that, BIG FLAP! This guy threw a fit, demanded his money back etc, then appeared in the academy drunk, before being finally shown the door.
Nothing like an “ideal product” from the most ethical group on the planet hey? Money is ethics in the RCS.

Wow. How many families are trained by Scientology to be wary of what they say to each other due to the outside threat from the church? How many have had their social norms so discombobulated as to believe that the church is where their real familial obligation lies and their actual family is 3rd party and dangerous? This week’s RB paints a happy picture because it depicts an escape in real time, but makes me sad because it reminds that the normal situation in Scientology is the life these characters were leading up until the moment of that conversation.
This one is so true but sadly not the same ending for me. Unfortunately for me I was the “woman” saying these things, but the “man” would not even consider to look and investigate. A KR was written and the CS said get divorced if you ever want to finish OTVII. So guess what happened? I still can’t believe someone would choose the church over your spouse. It is still unbelievable to me.

I am so sorry to hear that story, Pete2. And we’ve heard the similar sickening tales so many times, including from our host here on this blog. This demonstrates the power of Hubbard’s clever system of control of his congregation and Miscavige’s reinforcement and enhancement of it. We often say that it’s not the doctrine of Scientology that’s the issue, but the practices of the COS, and I mostly agree. This problem is rooted in fundamentalist religious belief.
If only. Anyone who would use the term “Modern scientology” has been suckered for at least 30 years and they are half dead zombies by now.
