I would love to see these people SUE THE SHIT out of Scientology:

Paul Haggis, Alex Gibney, Lawrence Wright, Paulette Cooper, Lawrence Wollersheim, Debbie Cook, Wayne Cook, Ron Miscavige Senior, Jenna Miscavige Hill, Vicky Aznaran and husband, Pat Broeker, Marc and Claire Headley, Jefferson Hawkins, Aaron Smith-Levin, Chris Shelton, Leah Remini, Mike Rinder, Jason Beghe, Tory Christman, Karen DelaCarriere, Jeff Augustine, Tony Ortega, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (writers of South Park who were harassed by Scientology / David Miscavige), A&E Producers and Walt Disney and anyone else who was fair gamed, harassed, spied on by David Miscavige aka Church of Scientology.

I would love to see people who were harmed by Scientology hammer Scientology with lawsuits like they did to the IRS.

That is how you put an end to this evil cult the FBI and US Goverment refuse to do anything about.

Robert, US law enforcement agencies are basically lazy and criminal. I’ve called police while someone was being kidnapped at gun point and was told I could talk to a detective later in the day. Of course they found the body dumped in an alley the next day.

If you want to get the attention of them just announce that you are investigating X agency and you’ll have them swarming you in 2 seconds…

I’m very curious about what is going to come out of this lawsuit. It’s got to be another blow, if not even wounding, just for starters.

Members are faced with a “flap” that stares at them from the headlines – and one that is embarrassingly reminiscent of the scandals of the type of traditional religions they believe Scientology transcends. It may not do much to shake the true believers – yet – but it probably still has effects such as making them even more hesitant to admit their membership or to try to recruit, and it’s likely that those who have started to doubt are faced with yet more to question, while those already UTR will be further disaffected.

The case may take years to come to fruition, and I think the big question is whether it will lead to ongoing revelations of abuses that will continue to undermine Scientology both internally and externally.

      Time.

Like smoking, Scientology has rapidly become a toxic label. Current members with any social sensitivity are UTR, and new recruits are going to be few and far between.

Anyone new bodies from the U.S. wanting to join are probably damaged goods.

If there is no dramatic collapse, time and exposure will bring inevitable dissolution from attrition.

Considering NOI and lawsuits, my money is on dramatic implosion.

That is an excellent question that should be asked of every single dupe of this criminal cult.

The cult conducts a so-called “conversation”. But it’s really just another gimmick to find a way to drive the dupes even further into debt in order to enrich the scumbag scam.

When will the FBI arrest and imprison the arch-criminal monster who runs this scam?

Unfortunately, most of these conversations likely happen only in the minds of individuals.

Most of the dupes are likely too terrified to say anything out loud to their spouses. In fact, I’m surprised the scam has not yet resorted to bugging all the homes and cars of all their dupes.

If that hasn’t happened yet, I would guess it’s sure to come.

No need for that when the spouses snitch on each other and when sec checks uncover that individuals are having that internal “conversation”. Even THOUGHTS can get the current members in trouble; ANY contraindicated thought can be the string that’s pulled to throw them to the ‘ethics’ officer like the Christians to the lions a few years ago.

I know this is comic, but it kind of had me squirming to read the dialogue because the next logical step for this couple is either disconnection or both of them escaping scientology. The way the dialogue was written, it was painfully obvious that disconnection would be the case in this one because the husband was really enjoying that koolaid.

IMO, RB isn’t quite “comic”, but a sideways look at a “funny” set of circumstances existing in a wacky, abusive cult. I’m not sure whether it’s sarcasm or irony oozing out of the chinks of scn’s armor in RB’s weekly dose of cleansing light. Wouldn’t it be fun if many of the millions donated by whales to the IAS eventually went into a court-ordered fund to reimburse lower-level public, staff and Sea Org members for their years of scam services?

Owwww… at least the whales would have got their “tax benefits” out of those donations, plus the fancy certificates, and the huge bowling trophies, and photos of their glad-handing with the tiny tyrant while preparing to salute the wall-size poster of Source Elcon Tub-O-Lard.

Phew, all that Status, and for only a few hundred thousand dollars, or maybe a few millions. What a bargain – not to mention the Case Gain they swore to over and over again. Now they can search for parking spots at the mall, confident their OT powers will open up a vacant space every time someone drives away!

I think little cob must get his lawyer cabal working on an irrevocable retirement trust, sort of like OJ Simpson has, which was able to protect his monthly NFL retirement income from being garnished to pay the court-ordered restitution to those he harmed.

Poor Cob, free at last from the burden of doing it all himself, free to take his Macallans and retire to his secret viewing room, replete with files and videos of the most personal nature, secrets gleaned from the confidential and not-so-confidential case files of his most famous and infamous cult members. The sound of his crazed laughter would fill the neighborhood were it not for the special sound-proofing he had installed! What? Did that meanie Headfill or Fedley or whatever his name was secretly wire up a camera setup transmitting from the COB Private Basement straight to an internet feed? No fair!

Can you imagine the legal nightmares.

Does someone who left and has started to rebuild their life count?

What about the people who left after multiple years service and although they have been out 7 years are looking at the fact that they have a bare minimum social security subsistence because of the fact that they have only 7 years of any income that is semi-decent to report?

What about the whale who donated multi-millions and is now subsisting on a minimum wage job living in an apartment because scientology bankrupted them?

There are thousands of other iterations on this same theme, but you get the idea.

I’ve often wondered what might be done about reparations to former Scientology slave labor workers.

I think it would come down to some simple principle, like paying the amounts into Social Security that should have been paid if staff and Sea Org were making minimum wage, or setting up a similarly funded retirement system – the way that real religious organizations like the Catholic Church provide for their elderly. That alone might well exhaust whatever assets were left over after legal expenses. The next obvious thing would be to pay partial back wages, based on years of service regardless of individual circumstances; that would almost certainly use up all of Scientology’s assets, which have been built up on the exploitation of large amounts of nearly free human trafficked labor.

This is also a reminder, that religious organizations should be prohibited from having full-time workers without making adequate retirement provisions. It effectively constitutes a back-door subsidy, because many of those people will end up relying on various sorts of government aid later on.

Wynski, I’m presuming it would have to come as the result of something like a class-action lawsuit.

If Scientology were ever criminally convicted as a racketeering enterprise, there could also be victim restitution.

Also, if Scientology lost its tax exemption and were ruled to be a business, there would be questions as to what to do with assets acquired under illegitimate religious status.

Scientology is a rather unprecedented case, and I suspect that ultimately there will be some unprecedented – and unpredictable – outcomes. But those may be a long way in the future, at a point when Scientology will likely be much diminished, and perhaps after a protracted and costly battle for survival during which lawyers and others will line their pockets with much of the assets.

Class action lawsuits still have to follow the law. Class action just means that the attorneys get TONS of money while the plaintiffs get much less than an individual lawsuit. This is SETTLED law under SCoTUS. CANNOT happen.

I noted that much of the assets will end up in the pockets of lawyers – under almost any scenario.

What is you are referring to that supposedly cannot happen?

I had a quick look for the most extreme of precedents, and in 1979 California even placed the Worldwide Church of God in receivership under the the state’s charitable-trust law, due to allegations of massive fraud including extravagant spending by leaders – and an appeal was denied by the Supreme Court.

For any non-Scientologists wondering if the depicted dialog is an exaggeration, it’s not. For those in the bubble, any doubts you express to anyone must be addressed by Scientology interrogations (Ethics Officer, Auditor) AT YOUR COST.

That’s right, Scientology charges its parishioners for squashing any doubts they may have! They pay for their indoctrination and then pay more when doubts arise.

The “funny” thing about good scientologists these days is that if they accidentally see a headline, they won’t see it. They will avert their eyes and psyche. If they accidentally hear about the lawsuit(s), they will avert their ears and not hear it. A really good scientologist (such as Tom Cruise) has their case in such good shape and their overts cleaned up that they won’t even “pull in” knowing about such things as lawsuits against miscavige or the church and if they do commit the overt of listening or seeing, there is a sec check for that.

We, out here, are just part of the wog eat wog world, with our overts and merchants of chaos news organizations that don’t get the wonders of david miscavige and the miracles he is pulling off to bring about a better world where there are no more wogs or merchants of chaos.

There will be a time in the near future where tons of us will be suing the shit out of David Miscavige and the Church of Scientology for FRAUD, abuse, lying, harassment, racketeering, extortion and stealing.

We all deserve to get our money back for EVERYTHING we paid for. Scientology lies about what they do, what services they provide and that they are a church that helps people. They are a henious corporation lying to members and manipulating them out of their life savings, shattering their families all while hiding behind the religious cloak.

It is time to remove the religious cloak from all religions. All religions need to pay taxes too.

David Miscavige – you may want to start wearing orange – it will be your daily color. We hope you are housed next to Keith Raniere, who was found guilty of his crimes against humanity. He likes little boys.

This cannot be over emphasized. Most of what I hear on critic’s blogs deride Miscavige as some sort of psycho, evil sociopath. While this may be true, he is also the best thing that ever happened to us ex-culties since Hubbard dropped his meat sack and headed for Target Two. Those of you here with a slight (or major) tendency towards indie scientology, take a few moments tor reflect on how it has been Miscavige’s actions that have driven you out of this cult. If it weren’t for him, you would most likely still be in swilling Kulty Kool-Aid and being all KSW. But, what Hubbard had going is just a con and Miscavige has been very successful in keeping that con going and even expanding on it. You should be down on your knees thanking the little tyrant that you are out of that mind-fuck of a cult once and for all.

The ‘tech’ doesn’t work 100% of the time on 100% of the people if applied 100% correctly as is claimed. Not even close. That being the case, there has to be some way to keep the con moving forward. That would be scientology ‘ethics tech’. Common sense would have one believe that if something wasn’t expanding, reform is necessary. Since the ‘tech’ is bogus to start with, no amount of reform is going to make it work. That’s where ‘ethics’ comes in. You hook someone into believing that their eternity is at stake and then you can do pretty much anything you want to someone with the club of ‘ethics’ being wielded ruthlessly and at will. The only solution to this is someone has to take the blinders off and LOOK, DON’T LISTEN to what is going on all around them and in their own lives and the cognitive dissonance will cause them enough pain to bail out from this mind-fucking cult. At that point they will see that the cult is nothing but an illusion and they have been trapped in their own prison of belief. Then one has a chance to get on with their life and make of it what they will.

Yes Miss B Haven – you are so right. There is not a bigger being than David Miscavige who has destroyed Scientology faster….

well, maybe Tom Cruise…. who is just a hair below Miscavige with his stats…. Tom Cruise certainly got the stats UP UP UP to EPIC proportions of people thinking HE and Scientology are CRAZY.

Thank you boys – please continue!
