The scam of the ideal orgs rolls on…
After 12 YEARS, the western US region is by far the most advanced area of scientology with respect to creating “ideal orgs.”
This promo piece doesn’t even mention the very non-ideal, tiny and getting tinier Hawaii, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Albuquerque “orgs.”
The lie of the “massive international expansion” is exposed every time they open their mouths.
These 5 orgs, after 12 years, are “on the runway.”
Even Valley, which has had MASSIVE attention and is located in the area with the largest number of scientologists on earth, STILL cannot complete raising the funds to “begin construction”? Remember all the hoopla about the “massive news” and how they had a “match game” and they were going to be done “before Thursday at 2”? Then by the end of the year. Then March 13. Then by the end of March (the “birthday time”) and now it’s “estimated to be in May.” This is never going to end…
And yet if you believe their own words — Valley is THE most important org on earth to become “ideal” though there is never any reason for why that would be (other than it sounds good when asking for yet more money). It’s just an assertion, that with any sort of inspection, makes absolutely NO sense. There are already Pasadena, LA Org (twice the size of old St Hill), CC Int, ASHO, AOLA, Orange County and Inglewood within 20 miles of them. Those “ideal” and “ideal plus” orgs are making no impact whatsoever. So why is Valley org so important?
There are other very large cities in the US (let alone the rest of the world) that don’t have an ideal org — Philly. Boston. Chicago. Detroit. Miami. Why aren’t they more important than the San Fernando Valley? Let alone cities with NO ORGS AT ALL. Houston. Pittsburgh. Charlotte. Jacksonville.
No new ideal orgs since Sydney in the first half of last year. There are a few reportedly getting close and he will probably be able to have videos to show at upcoming events: Basel (why Basel when Zurich and Geneva are not done??), Silicon Valley, Atlanta.
But the life has dribbled out of this campaign and Miscavige is going to have to do something to try to convince people they should keep giving money. It must be becoming extraordinarily difficult to beat anything out the dead horses that have been being ridden into the ground for more than a decade.
Chuck Beatty says
It’s a bitter pill to finally realize that Scientology’s Bridge to Total Freedom, the whole shebang, is not and never has produced “Full OT” people.
Despite all of the side reasons and criticisms why “Full OT” people were not made, there still are NO “Full OT” people.
The bigger picture is no other group in human history ever produced “Full OT” people (nor will they ever either).
Scientology’s just selling the same big fantasy hope.
The only EP you get in the end, should be, the “Eat Crow” ability.
Realize it’s all fantasy, and humbly learn to display honorable/humorous “Eat Crow” ability.
The day I first read Hubbard’s “One Was Stubborn” sci fi story, I almost had a mental meltdown, and I should have quit on the spot. That fiction story did more than Scientology had ever done, and it was so clearly fiction, but the reality of Scientology will never match that fiction.
All the Ideal Orgs in the world don’t lead to making “Full OT” people, it just makes a group of well wishing and well intending people at best, but it can’t even do that due to all the bad other parts of Scientology.
Quit Fast. Eat Crow humbly.
Roger Hornaday says
“Enlightenment” or “moksha”, “nirvana”, “satori” etc. are terms that refer to the same liberating realization that has set people free from suffering since time immemorial. Hubbard’s “OT” is another creature entirely and resembles the legendary “siddi” powers of advanced yogis. Such powers have never been demonstrated as anything but clever magic acts. Nobody has ever demonstrated that “postulates” make things happen without the muscle of physical action involved. Hubbard left God out of his cosmology and was therefore forced to ascribe creatorship to individual entities. This means the entities had to have the ability at one time to pull it off. There is no evidence that we possess even a remnant of such ability. But individual entities don’t need such power in a cosmology that employs the creator-God concept. Even science employs the creator-God concept. They do it unwittingly of course as they search for the unified theory.

What the heck are these guys having to pay for Planning and Construction documents? I once say designs paid for something like 20,000 that all went to the Landlords office where it’s all done in-house.
And do they realize that when the building is in-use they have to pay rent to BIC? AOLAs was around 3500 a week and yes, AOLA paid in full it’s share of the Complex. I forget what BIC means Building Investment Committee?
I would hate like hell to have to travel thru the churches finances and track it all like the IRS should do. I was told that with the IRS win in 93 that there would be regular inspections done by a CPA firm. I was the FBO AOLA at the time.
Crazy that the persons being duped out of their money, taking out loans do not demand to see the budget and know what the millions are for prior to paying. It is also crazy that the church encourages loans when it is strictly forbidden in HCOPLs concerning finance policies. In the very first page of one of the Admin volumes there is a short PL that the Policies for the orgs also apply to individuals.
All this uncovered will likely go down as the Greatest Con in History – good going LRH and DM and all your blinded followers.
Cece says
Cindy, I was wondering where the money comes from to assist another org. Would it not come from donations for other projects? The orgs them selves don’t pay into the IAS that I ever knew off. The IAS usually reges for a specific purpose. Ha, maybe it comes from the extra for the Garcia’s extra cross and Superpower funds.

Re: “We are on a crusade to build the First Ideal Continent in West US…
Hey, Scientology Incorporated; hey, Four Feet Thirteen! Because of Mike Rinder’s and Tony Ortega’s blogs, we know what you’re doing.
Today, I visited Scientology Incorporated’s (“SI”) West Coast headquarters, the Pacific Area Command Base (aka “PAC Base” or “Big Blue”). I walked along LRH Way toward Fountain Ave., listening to music through headphones, while carrying a camera. I stopped to take a photo of a large advertisement proclaiming that the Flag Land Base must be running out of money, thus the new Flag World tour that’s about to commence. As I contemplated taking a second photo, a female Sea Org member wearing a blue sweater approached me; in her early 40’s, trim; she wore glasses; her hair short, blond. I have no idea what she said, because I had more interest in listening to “Enya.” Funny thing is, I found myself instantly annoyed.
After thirty-seven years of being approached by Sea Org members just like her, I quickly decided, enough is enough. I’m not strolling for pleasure on LRH Way; this isn’t a pleasure cruise. I recalled all those times when a Sea Org member wanted me to: buy a book; buy a set of books; pay for a course; pay for a bunch of courses; see a DVD from the latest event; come to an event; go to Graduation; be sweet-talked into talking to a Sea Org Recruiter from you-name-it org; give money to the IAS; etc., etc., etc. It’s about time that the Bubble Dwellers know that we all don’t dance the same dance or walk the same walk, just because we might happen to be on LRH Way.So I upped the ante with my reply:
“I’m an anti-Scientologist. Leave me alone.”
Oh, my goodness! You should see a Sea Org member go immediately into action (or maybe you have). What a trip! As I walked south on LRH Way, the Sea Org gal my path, head jutted forward, shoulders tightened, steam building and just about to spew from her ears as she arrived at her destination: a Security Guard (“SG”) near Fountain Ave., straddling a mountain bike. As she started talking to the SG about me, all the while not looking at me, I calmly turned around, took off my headphones and stated:
“She’s reporting me to you because I told her to leave me alone.”
I turned west on Fountain Ave; at Catalina St., I headed north toward Sunset Blvd., because at the corner is a sign that I wanted to get a shot of (“Open House—All Are Welcome” Casa Abierta—Todos Son Bienvenidos”). As I approached the Security area at the entrance on Catalina, Big Chief made an appearance (“Big Chief” being Odo, the “star” of so many Angry Gay Pope Videos). Odo didn’t just happen to stroll out of his office at exactly the same time I walked by; oh, no, I’m sure the SG with an earful of that Sea Org woman had already phoned in the alert.
Odo is decent enough; friendly, respectful and cheerful. We talked about my first day in the Sea Org, working an all-nighter on the last day of renovations at Los Angeles Organization (“LA Org”); he asked me which renovations i had been involved with (I’ve never had a conversation with any Scientologist in which they asked “which renovations?”). He asked if I live in the neighborhood; I told him that I’ve been living there off and on since 1977. He also recognized me from having been on course a few years back; I said that I’ve worked and trained on the Freewinds and have also trained at the Advanced Organization of Los Angeles (“AOLA”), the American St. Hill Organization (“ASHO”) and LA Org.
I told him that David Miscavige has made a big mess out of things, turning Scientology into some monster, and that I’m here to document Scientology Incorporated’s downfall. I asked Odo for a picture, but he politely declined.

To date, I have found $1.7 billion in Church of Scientology book value. The Church has plenty of cash and assets to fund all of its projects. No one should donate one penny to these vultures.
The Church is moving in the direction ‘give us more money” while Culture is moving in the opposite direction “revoke Scientology’s tax exemption.”
RolandRB says
The Church of Scientology would love it if they could spend their money to help the poor, but they are not allowed to do this due to their doctrine of “exchange” and their doctrine that there are “degraded beings” who pull in their own calamitous situations through their own “overts”. Scientology is a religion that rewards the “up-stats” and makes the able more able.

Pete I was at a dinner this passed weekend with five other bitter, defrocked types here in Denver and one of the folks there had a friend who was still in tell her/him that the Denver Org. was insolvent at this point.
The report included that only one person was in the course room during the day.
One bright spot is that the Colorado Rockies are 5-2 and in first place, so the interest is high here in Denver. As long as the Rockies have a good season the Denver Org parking lot will be full for each game and the Org. will have some income.
I wonder if LRH wrote into any admin tech, how to use Major League Baseball to keep your Org, solvent?

I’d be interested in learning more about the status of the Philadelphia morgue. The last reports in Philly news, some years back, were that Co$ purchased a large building in Center City. Due to it’s boarded-up windows & disuse, they are paying the city fines for “blight”. Apt, yes?
I’m hoping they will get a “do it or get off the pot” order, if such a thing exists. I don’t know how that works, but having slums in prime real estate area is a serious detriment to the city. I should hope the city isn’t ignoring the situation.
Thanks!

Assuming that at least some scientologists are somewhat sophisticated in the ways of the world, they MUST know that these “wins” amount to no more than a drop in the bucket. They’ll be in for years of fleecing even after these MINOR “milestones” are completed! But they have to even get “there” yet.

New to this whole Scientology scene. After reading the blogs and the books and Scientology, I am convinced that it is nothing more than a perverse pyramid scheme. Interestingly, Scientology added a branch in Florence, KY that is apparently the Greater Cincinnati Scientology base. This base is opposite a local Christian Church, Baptist Church, and a few hundred feet down the street from a Catholic Church. I drive by it everyday, and what strikes me as odd is that when there are cars in the parking lot, very few to none are licensed cars from Kentucky, Ohio or Indiana. They are mostly plates from Georgia, Mississippi, and North and South Carolina.
I can’t imagine the amount of strength needed to leave such as dominating institution, especially for those that were indoctrinated from childhood. Keep up the good fight. People who escape from Scientology will need help finding their own voice again.

This promo stuff, like the better ones in Thursday funnies – the glossy, slick and expensive pieces to put out. Are they the result of miscavige miro-managing what we see or is it a dept, that is just on auto now, spewing out this drivel under a more broad command intention to acquire money by donations? It sort of seems that way now.
It use to be called the Ministry of Propaganda in years gone past in other organisations when such lies which had long since gone past any point of redemption followed such predicable patterns over and over.
Does miscavige actually go the effort to check personally this never ending stream of stuff you can’t push up a hill with a stick or does he personally create it and demand it put out? I ponder this because the provable lies are so easy to spot now as Mike points out and are repeating themselves in random inaccuracy, it’s like who ever wrote this stuff really doesn’t expect it to be read by anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together. Didn’t even Hubbard comment on the fact certain criminality goes beyond the point of arrogance with “who cares if it’s a provable lie?” I’m too big and powerful to be answerable.
I guess with no product to sell, lies become the only thing marketable option. At least Pretty Boy Floyd, Capone and other wacko criminals had a product to sell and stand over tactics is limited in application to small scale stuff – others can carry guns too they found out. Bread and soup kitchens along with some sort of free counselling/shelters have often accompanied questionable assertions made by other religious organisations who beg, demand or coerce for donations. Yet the RCS doesn’t pitch a product except “going Ideal.” I did notice at the top right it says Issue XL (#40). Does that mean 39 massive lies preceding this one?
Geezers, at least up to and including the 80s and early 90s the academies and HGCs had people in them and the promo back then was based on “you received a personal service in exchange for your money” – COB you lying greedy SOB, you’re even worse than Capone

I agree Aqua, and think it goes even further. Since the greatest number of Scns live in the LA area and probably the greatest number of whales, such as Her Highness, then of course, it is the most important org to go Ideal. The pool of people to donate is bigger so he has to capitalize on this. The bigger the field of potential donors and big donors, the more importance put on getting their money. It’s the numbers game pure and simple IMO. When in doubt about why Tiny Dick does something…..follow the money!!

The Co$ will collapse when the whale/celebrity to Sea Org ratio becomes too one-sided.
That is, when there are not enough SO members to work for the likes of Tom Cruise, customizing his motorcycles and polishing the lightbulbs in his home for 40 cents an hour or there are not enough SO members to treat the non-celebrity whales like the gods they are (in their own minds) then those people will seek ‘salvation’ elsewhere.
The core of the Co$, the everyday working stiffs, are going to wise up eventually or they simply will no longer be able to fund COB’s extravagant lifestyle. The constant barrage of information will finally start to cause some cracks and they will begin to realize the truth.
The celebrities and whales can certainly afford to pay staff for their work. What they will have trouble with is finding a group of people who treat them like ‘big beings’. Let’s face it…….Hollywood is not beating down Kirstie Alley or Jenna Elfman’s doors. (Has Bodhi Elfman even been in a movie since his breakout role as ‘Coffee Customer’ in The Brady Bunch movie?). Nevertheless, people will continue to give them special treatment because there were once upon a time, they were on TV. And some people will kiss the rear ends of the wealthy because the wealthy are treated differently. BUT………as special members of the Co$, their butts are kissed, they are treated as gods, they have servants attending to them 24/7 AND they are saving the planet and their own salvation! What a deal…….
However, once those servants are not there to make these people feel special about themselves, they will look elsewhere. They may as well change the name to the Church of Tom Cruise or the Church of Bob Duggan, etc etc.
Do any of these special people stop and ask themselves ‘why me?’. Or more appropriately, ‘But for the grace of God, there go I’
Pepper says
Personally, I don’t think that David Miscavige really cares about the Ideal Orgs as far as if they’re truly productive and busy, or if people are receiving Scientology services from them in droves. I don’t think he lies awake at night worrying about people going up The Bridge either. It’s all about power over people, getting money from them and acquiring more and more real estate (equals money) to nurture his ego.
Miscavige knows that he has to give people a game to play, as in LRH’s Hershey analogy or they will focused on “getting him.” The Ideal Org is a game to be played by the public and certain staff who are assigned to that project. Miscavige is the beneficiary of this game because the end product is real estate acquisition, courtesy of the public who buy the buildings, and it gives his Sea Org staffers something to do. It also is good for public show, that he’s “doing something”, has ideas, vision, leadership and is deserving of any and all credit for future of Scientology. It’s basically just a red herring, that feeds power to his mind and property.
Sadly, I don’t think I’m saying anything new. Raindog who commented above is right; making Ideal Orgs is like beating a dead horse ten different ways.
cindy says
Well said Pepper. They have to have a game or the game will be getting you. And he made the game of accumulating real estate that is then his own personal asset to cash in anytime he needs cash.

Well, intentions are BEST divined be looking at what is actually ordered and DONE. Rather than listening to the spoken. By that FAR more accurate measure, LRH’s intention for Scn was that its highest management echelon was to amass millions or billions of dollars in secure bank accounts.
KFrancis says
I would say that LRH’s goal for the highest echelon of Scientology management was to earn millions of dollars by delivering auditing and training to a public that wanted the product.
Any organization has to earn money or the lights go off, the staff isn’t paid, course rooms can’t be outfitted and your public disappears because no organization exists.
There is nothing wrong with earning money in a fair exchange with a willing public, there is something very wrong with amassing money that you lied and cheated your public to get.
John Locke says
“I would say that LRH’s goal for the highest echelon of Scientology management was to earn millions of dollars by delivering auditing and training to a public that wanted the product.”
Not per the Admin scale that he put into use up there. With ZERO training or processing being delivered they could be upstat. See Paid Comps stat in comparison.
Unfortunately what you think about LRH’d goal is NOT reflected in what he ordered and rewarded at the highest levels. I won’t argue against your opinion on this anymore as the verified, documented evidence is against it.
KFrancis says

“The total empire of a Scientologist as far as–and of Scientology and its organizations—from my viewpoint, the total empire is an empire of wisdom. No political empire of any kind. There is no effort on the part of Scientology to own or have the allegiance of billions and billions and billions of people, or to have thousands and thousands of tons of masonry piled up, with Scientology written across the top of it, or to have certain governments of earth giving their allegiance to Scientology or something of the sort. This is very very dull indeed. The empire of Scientology is 100 percent the empire of wisdom: there is no other empire envisioned.” LRH
(Disc #5)
This statement indicts the IAS for constantly trying to get the political elite in Washington on board with Scientology programs. In my mind it also kills any idea that LRH had Senators and Congressmen in mind as a goal when he put the Super Power process together. It’s also clear he didn’t want to copy Rome and build churches all over the place.
What is David Miscaviage’s current statistic for how much wisdom is being injected into any culture?

In honor of the 155th annivesary of the Pony Express and because I am feeling generous this morning I though I would provide a little inspiration for the beaten down group at the Valley Org. This is for the Valley DSA to pass on to the good folk on the OTC Committee.
I did a little research on reviving dead horses. There are several strategies that can be used. At the bottom of this post I will provide a link but thought I would share a few favorites.
1. Buy a stronger whip.
2. Change riders.
3. Threaten the horse with termination. (aka SP Declare, PTS declare, lower conditions)
4. Appoint a tiger team to revive the dead horse. (A new alliance?)
5. Create a training session to increase our riding ability. (Drill baby drill)
6. Change the autopsy report to declare that “This horse is not dead.” (We are winning! Because the SPs are howling!)
7, Kill all the other horses, so this one will look the same. (not hard to do)
8. Declare that “No horse is too dead to beat.”
9. Declare the horse is “better, faster, and cheaper” dead. (substitute more ideal ofmore on source for cheaper)
10. Get the horse a Web site. (But be careful to install net nannies)
However dear DSA, Dakota tribal wisdom says that when you discover you’re riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount, however you quit looking at what is wise a while back didn’t ya?
Oh and you can always beat the dead cow (whale) to revive the horse!!!!

I wouldn’t be able suspend disbelief if this were being offered as fiction. How far will people go into their blindness to hold on to their noble and fanciful delusions? I have suddenly lost all ambivalence for David Miscavige. I now see him as an unwitting servant of God who has been put here to teach some hard lessons to people who need their lessons delivered the hard way. Poor old friendless, family-less, world class bad guy, David…it’s not about him at all. It’s about the remaining members who won’t take a stand, having turned their backs on their own integrity. It’s my opinion that David isn’t the problem but instead is a catalyst to wake people out of a deep tormented sleep. Some people need more catalyst than others but he’s the catalyst that keeps on giving.

He was asked point blank if the fair gaming is his motivation to fight, and he confirmed that he would have gone home to his kids in BC a long time ago if the cult hadn’t picked the fight. Which pretty much echoes Marty’s “I’ll never take blood money” as was pointed out.
In summary, the cult spends money on fair game, which in turn costs them even more money, to the tune of 7 figures per person per year.

Although it was always lurking under the surface, the public face for CoS was one of delivering services of questionable value at vastly over-inflated prices. But now it has dropped the pretense and brandished a more workable theology that eliminates the necessity of delivering services.
Basically, Scientology has degenerated into a belief fixated on the ultimate power of money and absolute faith in the promise of eternity being achieved by giving ever larger amounts of it to CoS.
It’s difficult to fathom the insanity within the bubble necessary to subscribe to such a belief system, although in fairness, it is hardly unique to Scientology. Ponzi scams and MLM’s still find victims too.
Kemist says
But normally in a MLM, there is that (highly improbable, it is true) dream of becoming rich yourself.
The CoS does not promise anything of the sort. Just another ridiculous status. Sometimes a trinket like a medal, a plaque or a trophy.
I wonder why they keep writing checks. The true whales, I mean. The rank and file just want to escape sec checks, disconnection and ethics officers. The likes of Duggan for instance could chew Miscavige and spit him out if they so chose. We’re so used to them spewing nasty things about their ex members now that probably no one is going to believe any dirt they might have on him. And that’s without considering the spectacular resources the whales could bring in a lawsuit against the church.
Could it be that Miscavige was onto something after all and that the statuses (statii ?) work because they are exceedingly vain people ?

As always before, the shots are only boastings for the future. With nobody there…

You are just WAAAAYYyyyyyy too logical, Mike. Cognitive dissonance doesn’t have chance around you.

For DM to change one thing about Austin, proves this entire scheme is a scam.
Having one of the best locations in Austin, in a town of A million very open minded folk, that org should be flourishing to say the least
But it’s not, and therein lays the lie.
John Locke says
Gary, unless those same peoples minds were SO open that their brain’s fell out and they couldn’t use the Web, the org wouldn’t flourish even if services were free. Scn is dead now no matter what.
Gary Johnson says
Yes I agree, just an addendum to the topic. What intrigues me about this whole story the most, is how he retains his followers and illicits such strong reactions.
Very clearly DM is insane. A sociopath doing what he is “allowed” to do.
This would stop overnight if a few SO’s would just step up perform a coup or something. Lock him in a room, get all the evidence you want, and take it to the authorities. It would not be difficult. Please, do not use the “you don’t understand ” not everybody is completely brain washed.
The IRS could take away tax exempt status overnight if it wanted.
No the true interest that keeps outsiders watching is the shear insanity of it all.
Scaredy cat Judges, IRS, Scn members, it is as if DM is a Super Hero magic spewing antagonist, can not be crossed , and has crazy-super human powers. This is America Peeps! Nobody is to big to take down!
John Locke says
Gary, yes it is fascinating indeed. It was the same for LRH. But, no one in the S.O. stepped up to depose him. So, those in high positions in the S.O. were already “grooved in” to bowing to an insane sociopath. Nothing really changed with that. So, it is something inherent in those people (the top 50? or so people).
Marty, at one point in his blogging really narrowed in on the process of getting to that point as a S.O. member. Fortunately I recognized it with EL Con and left before succumbing.
1984 says
Gary, you have a valid point.
John, you really should read up on John Locke.
John Locke says
1984, I have. Beyond trolling, what is your point?
1984 says
John, my point? If you insist on using that name, you could try moving beyond a two value logic system. (You do come across as a bit of a troll, now that you mention it.)
Gary says
Whyb1984? Because he told the truth about l. Ron Hubard.
Old Surfer Dude says
Gary, I just don’t think Texas folk cotton to this here scientology shit. I’m surprised they haven’t run the out on a rail or tarred and feathered them.

My inside source ”The Invisible Man” says the Sydney ”Ideal Org” has lost plenty of staff since opening last year and now has as much action as a disused morgue…
cindy says
I would like to know the same about the Las Vegas Org. When it went Ideal they had to import SO members to hold some of the posts because they didn’t have enough of the locals join staff. And word was that when they didn’t quite have enough money donated for Vegas Ideal Org, that the IAS stepped up and kicked in the last amount of money needed, because, “Vegas is critical for clearing the planet and is so critical that we paid to get it done.” The reason they felt it was so critical for Vegas to have an Ideal Org was because so many people come as tourists there and that if they sold a book to a tourist they would take it home and join Scn in their hometown and thus Scn would go global. That was the think anyway. Does anyone have a PT report on how the Las Vegas Org is doing nowadays?
And if Valley is so critical to get done, why hasn’t DM or the IAS stepped up and paid for Valley yet? It could be the Potempkin of the West US.

Why Basel? is a fascinating question. A gentleman named Wilfried Handl (who has commented here, I think) has a German-language blog devoted largely to tracking this unfolding saga. It’s here — and even if you don’t read German, the pictures are cool:
http://www.blog-gegen-scientology.wilfriedhandl.com
Apparently the Basel crew put together an ambitious fundraising scheme — the “Swiss Alliance” — that not only solicited contributions from all over Europe, but also managed to bleed off funds from the other orgs in Switzerland. They actually awarded “statuses” to these other orgs. Two of them, Zurich and Geneva, were awarded “Org New Civilization Builder” status, while the other two, Lausanne and Bern, became “Org Platinum Humanitarians.”
I can only imagine that the money for these statuses came from looting contributions made to the other cities’ own Ideal Org campaigns. Where else could it have come from? So anyway, by draining the coffers of this small but affluent nation, and begging for additional money all over the continent of Europe, they seem *almost* ready to cut the ribbon, having missed an earlier date in February. And they’ve also attracted some harsh media scrutiny, which Wilfried has documented (and which I think he played a role in).
That’s as close to a “good news” story as it gets in Ideal Org Land these days — and the damn thing still isn’t open.
Betsy says
I remember Wilfriend’s posting in the Bunker. The whole Basel thing sounded crazy and also empty. I hope we hear more from Wilfried about the whole idiocy.
I had to go to Albuquerque to take a friend to an appointment a month or so ago. The ABQ “org” is a pathetic little space in a ratty strip mall. It was absolutely empty for the entire day except for the person who exited and locked the door in the afternoon. They would do themselves a favor to let this poor dying thing go.
I wonder if the emphasis on places like the Valley Org isn’t a ploy to reinforce their claim to benefitting the public (which they don’t do at all)…? This would, of course, be of some use if the tax-exemption thing comes up for investigation. “We have these inner city orgs helping the needy!” (I.e. giving them TWTH books paid for by whales.)
Newcomer says
” I wonder if the emphasis on places like the Valley Org isn’t a ploy…”
I think you are on to them Betsy!
eloise says
I was thinking the same thing. I have family in ABQ and drove by the “org” on my way to get Rudy’s…delicious Rudy’s…and did a double take. It’s practically derelict!
Wayne Borean aka The Mad Hatter says
Ah, but Miscavige has all those PIs he is paying. Keeping those guys off Good Stamps is a public benefit, isn’t it?

The new Basel Idle mOrg can’t open until DM has that private plane ready to take him and his well stuffed suitcases to the nearest Swiss Bank. Hey Travolta and Cruise, when are you going to loan him one of your planes?
That Basel somehow got other Swiss mOrgs to help pay for the new building is just like an Amway convention. ‘Distributors’ selling to each other and playing the stats game. Given the oversight that the ‘International Landlord’ has over these funds, you know that DM is playing the old shell game. And not playing it very well.
Roger From Switzerland Thought says
Basel Org will open on 25 April but I’m 100% certain, there will be no DM there, as they didn’t get the permission to use the streets by the front entrance.
Basel would never aloud their beloved green tramways to not circulate, So they can use the street near the backyard. DM in the Backyard ? No way ! 🙂
Also there will be a protest by the locals from 13:00 to 18:00 just over the street by the front entrance. They’ll have 3 megaphones and will be making lots of noise for 5 minutes each hour. And perhaps there will be some other surprises !
Artoo45 says
They’re all done! As in “done for.”
JB says
I predict that DM will taper off the Ideal Orgs scam and dwindle down to only asking for IAS war chest money so that people can join the fight against people who expose the fact that all the church does is demand IAS war chest money. The tiger eating its tail….
Newcomer says
It’s long past the tail JB, I’d say the Miscarriage is getting down to some of the more interesting parts these days!
Yo Dave,
Take a bite out of this good buddy!
McCarran says
Which appendage are you referring to, Coop?
Newcomer says
You know, the little one! Of course with Dave, it’s all little isn’t it.
Yo Dave,
Howz savin the planet going today in Cultville? Just one little bite at a time good buddy!
Aquamarine says
“Cultville” 🙂
John Locke says
JB, as long as he can get $ for buildings the scam will probably continue. It is a safer scam that dono’s for nothing. At least as far as being a non-profit church and for going against inflation.
Michael Stamm says
What always impresses me about the church’s PR lies is their amazing lack of sophistication. They Remind me of Soviet pronouncements of the thirties or North Korean pronouncements today. Perhaps if PR staff were required to a high school equivalency exam with a C minus average their performance might improve.
statpush says
JB,
Gonna have to disagree with ya.
It’s against their religion to NOT continue doing “successful” actions (even if they are criminal).
Pepper says
Miscavige could never admit that he was wrong as far as the Ideal Org scheme goes. He’ll stay the course and follow the pattern of the Catholic church, who owns a tremendous amount of real estate. The Catholic church has a got a head start on it, but hey, whenever you catch the fish out of the water it’s always fresh.
