Companion to the post of a couple of days ago Make More Money (So We Can Take It)…
This is another twist on the “prosperity doctrine” that informs everything in scientology. Creflo Dollar and his prosperity theology have nothing on scientology.
This one is a new approach. Offer to teach “wogs” how to make money, and use that as bait to get them to do a Comm Course!
Scientology: It’s all about the money.

Please excuse me for intruding into your blog here for a second time. I should explain that I have posted in this blog previously using the name, “Skyler”. But I forgot my password and I sent a message to Mike explaining this and I posted here yesterday using the name, “Miss Bluxom”.
I don’t want to leave you with the impression that I’m trying to do something “sneaky” to you. I figure that you all have likely had your fill of sneaky people doing sneaky things and you don’t need me to any more. But after reading some of your posts yesterday, I decided to re-watch Alex Gibney’s film, “Going Clear”.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4257858/?ref_=nm_knf_t4
I got a real shock when I saw Paul Haggis talking about his two daughters because I had always thought that was Alex Gibney. I was very surprised to see how similar they both looked. I had to look hard to tell the difference. You can see for yourselves, if you like:
Paul Haggis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Haggis
Alex Gbney: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Gibney
They have a lot more in common than their physical appearance. I actually got to wondering if they may have been long lost brothers. Both were born in the same year and both have a whole load of talent when it comes to making films. I checked their lists of credits thinking maybe I could find a film or a still in which they appeared together so I could see firsthand what they both looked like “side by side” … and …
I found even more commonality. OK. You may be wondering why I have nothing better to do. It’s a long story. They both have exactly two film credits as “actors”. But they don’t seem to ever have worked on the same film. I’m guessing that I may be asking something foolish and I’m expecting some of you to give me grief about it. But … would anyone happen to know of any pictures or films in which they appear together?
I know it’s silly. But I’d like to see what they look like in the same venue.

Really bad picture. Reminds me of faces I’ve seen staring at me over an 8 foot fence. Someone feed her an apple.
Miss Bluxom says
Please excuse me for intruding into your blog. I have almost nothing to say about Scientology.
I wast to post a few remarks about Alex Gibney. I will try to keep this real short since I realize I’m not behaving within the bounds of this blog.
I was directed here because I wanted to learn some info about Alex Gibney. I just saw a film he made about the music group, “The Eagles”. It’s called, “History of the Eagles”. I wanted to make some remarks directed to Mr. Gibney but I couldn’t find any way to send him an email directly.
I just wanted to say that film is one of the very best films I’ve ever seen and I want to pay tribute to Alex as a film maker. I’ve seen many other films about music groups who play popular music and this film is just far superior to any that I’ve seen.
So, please excuse me for “hi-jacking” this blog as it were. I was just overcome by a tremendous desire to pay tribute to Alex and also to let anyone interested know how about this film and recommend it to anyone who may have any interest in this group of this kind of music.
I did see Mr. Gibney’s film about Scientology and it was a real eye opener. Once again, he did a terrific job on that film. It was one of the most direct reports on what really goes on in that cult. I see that some people are recommending some reading and programs to, “Out for Good but Hiding For Now says”. I’d like to recommend Mr. Gibney’s excellent film, “Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief”.

I once upon a time was a salesman for a Scientology company. We’d go to seminars and study closing techniques. Do drills on how to never leave until you get the sale etc etc. I’ve always hated that salesman mentality. Which is basically, “trick the mark into buying what you’re selling”. Talk about covert. If you got a product, tell someone what it is and does, and leave it to them to buy or not. End of story. It’s a very condescending mentality that has to trick another into buying something. And of course Scientologists justify the fuck out of it, weave it through that dynamic labyrinth with the end product of giving all your sales commissions to the group. By the way, our “product” was an overpriced piece of shit.

Yup, it’s all about money.
In scientology, one’s ability and value as a human being is determined by the size of one’s bank account (and how accessible it is).
According to the Pew Research Centre, over half the population of Earth are either low income earners or just plain poor. Over 70% of the population live on less than $10 a day, with the majority on just $3. So I do wonder how they hope to “clear the planet” when billions of people can barely afford to eat let alone pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for their spiritual freedom. Such people are clearly worthless in the eyes of the “church”.
Old Surfer Dude says
Money is the oxygen of Scientology.
Robert Almblad says
They say that money is root of all evil, but Scientology takes this adage to a new and lower level: only Scientologists in good standing are evil enough to take the last dollar off an innocent old lady for the IAS, etc… and then refuse to return her money when she finally figures out she was swindled. Then, letting her get evicted and resort to eating cat food for the rest of her life is easily explained by a Scientologist: I am not evil, “she pulled it in” she is evil and should be crushed for asking for her money back.
Scientology is an evil empire sponsored and encouraged by the IRS and the American taxpayer. IRS wake up! This evil cult is the complete opposite of a charitable organization. Pull their tax exempt status now.

I couldn’t bring myself to comment on the Thursday Funnies, all those images of those fresh faced kids all determined to do the right thing about helping mankind etc gave me a dose of the “sads.” The really sad part about Scientology is there’s not one single Scientologist who isn’t a victim, even if they don’t it. The assholes like Chan the Man are simply criminals adding victim after victim to long line of those abused by the insidious cult posing as a religion. This seminar is just another lure to induce people to get involved with the criminally insane organization known as Scientology.
Peggy L says
I got the chills too I Yawnalot looking at those sweet innocent faces, so trusting of their parents and happy to make them happy. Absolutely criminal to say the least.
Old Surfer Dude says
+1!
whatareyourcrimes says
You are so right, Yawnalot. Miscavige isn’t getting away with his crimes all alone. He has plenty of chumps who are aiding and abetting this criminal organization.
I can’t wait to see RICO raids haul away all the guilty parties who assisted in perpetuating the scientology crimes against humanity. The upper echelon scientologists should really start compiling evidence (I am sure many already have) to turn against Miscavige when the time comes, if they have any sense left, or if they have any part of their brains that haven’t been completely scrubbed to mush by scientology.
I hope the feds throw the book at them RUTHLESSLY (using that famous adverb of the most useful of useful idiots, Tom Cruise).
I wonder how lil’ Miscavige will live out his final days? There really is no good outcome. It is all so depressing for him.
Aquamarine says
“…Miscavige…has plenty of chumps aiding and abetting his criminal organization.”
Bingo. Which is exactly why I no longer pity them. As far as I’m concerned, the Still Ins whether public, CL V staff or Sea Org, fall into roughly 3 groups as follows:
1) The as yet Honestly Unaware
2) The Aware who are UTR
3) The Aware who have decided to stay.
The first group is probably tiny and composed mostly of children and teens born into the cult and steeped by their parents from infancy into all things cult, plus foreigners on religious visas recruited into the Sea Org. I know I should feel sorry for the youngsters but in that with one exception in my experience I found them to be smug, arrogant, know it all little bastards I just can’t dredge up out of myself what I’m sure is the correct empathy for them and I’d be lying if I told you I feel sorry for them.
The second group know and are pretending to be part of the group but are not. They know what they’re doing. In their hearts they’re out, or planning their way out in what they believe is the best way for them. I don’t pity them, I salute them!
The third group realized the truth and decided to stay anyway, and in so doing became themselves criminals. This group I despise, and its the long term staff, public and SO. They deserve everything they’re going to get – the financial ruin, the bad health, the way they’ll see one day how the cult turns against them on a dime. They deserve every bit of this and no mistake because they know the truth and yet actively contribute to the ongoing lies, scams and deceiving of others. Would I help one of them? Sure. If they finally decide that the deceit is too much to bear, and blew, sure. But would I ever trust any of them – no way. Help, yeah, trust, no. They’d have to go a long way, a LONG way, before I’d trust any of them again And as far as forgiveness, they’re not going to need my or anyone’s forgiveness; they’re going to have to forgive themselves.
So pity doesn’t factor into any of this. I’m free of that now, thank God. Its a waste of time and emotion.
Aquamarine says
Correction: I actually do pity the small children in the cult. They’re cute, they’re innocent and trusting. By the time they hit their teens though the cult has turned them into something awful. Also, and, from the way I’ve written, you’re unlikely to believe this, but I’ll say it anyway because its true: in general I like children and teenagers and they like me – mostly I think, because I give them their space, don’t fawn all over them, am not phoney with them and don’t talk down to them. Works like a charm, even of the sulky introverted ones, no kidding. In fact, especially on these.
But not with Scientology teens. Talk about “in your face” God, they would get on my nerves. Big time.
And also I dislike them – and I know this is irrational – because of the way they’re capable of turning on their parents – of turning on ANYONE. Because THEY make the decision. The cult can’t force them. Its their choice. They’re just so – what’s the word – HARD. So unnaturally hard.
i hated that hardness of theirs and when they’d get in my face, That robotism, although I didn’t call it that back then. Preaching to me about what I “needed” to do, Never letting up. I’d fight back against their robotism in my own way, batting their comm right back to them, never letting them win, so that they’d get out of my face.
Today of course I realize they’re like this because their PARENTS put them in the cult from infancy. If you put your kid in an SS training camp its no surprise he comes out a Nazi, primed for years to Heil Hitler and under the bus for you if you don’t toe the mark, now matter who you are – father, mother, brother, sister, friend, lover, spouse – all dispensable if you’re not loyal to the Commandant. Bad analogy but you get the idea. I know that this dislike of mine of the Scientoology in your face robokids is irrational and I’m working on eliminating it because harboring negative emotion is unhealthy and its not going to help them or change them or change anything. Thank you for reading this.

I was on Staff in Twin Cities for a while.
I am hiding UTR due to obvious fears of attacks, disconnection, declares and other hurtful tactics the Church of Scientology does to people who “know”.
This is a great blog Mike.
I am watching all of the episodes on A&E – Scientology, the Aftermath with Mike Rinder and Leah Remini.
I started reading Marty Rathbun’s blog from the beginning…it was helpful.
I think he is a turn coat and has betrayed the ex scientology group so I won’t pay attention to anything he has said over the past few years.
OMG – I am horrified that the truth was all hidden from our view…however, it is all making sense as to why we never grew and expanded.
I thought it was only “us” but now I can see it is all Orgs across the globe.
Scientology is the fastest shrinking cult / religion.
I liked Chris Shelton’s blog on Tony’ Ortega’s Underground Bunker today.
I am watching his podcasts too. They are very helpful…
I am going down the rabbit hole.
Wish me luck.
Out for Good and hiding for now.

Welcome and thanks for commenting. It is always SO gratifying to read a comment from someone like you. This is exactly why this blog exists, to try to give some perspective to real world of scientology and to let people know “you are not crazy for thinking this is crazy.”

Our circumstances are similar in that I too am UTR and using this blog and the youtube vids and the blogs.
I adore Aaron Smith Levin and his vids too, he’s such an easy listen, so smart and funny and plain spoken. It’s very helpful. Chris is fun and has some great guest speakers as well.
Read the books too. I went through all kinds of hoops to be able to buy hard copies off Amazon and Ebay and then did some fancy dancin to get some on Kindle – I had to do it all UTR from family and spouse. I just finished Ortega’s book on Miss Lovely. It was fantastic and awful to get through, because of my time in and connections.
This is a good bunch on the site. Lots of help here. I keep quiet about how long it has been for me – it’s not long but it’s getting longer and I’m getting better and all of these guys help tremendously.

It has a typo, they wrote “raw people” instead of ‘wogs’, covert and derogatory terms to refer to those who haven’t shared the wisdom of the sacred scriptures and, that eventually, will lead them to bankruptcy, disconnection and declared. Lets hope none bites the bait.
Goodness gracious, what a scam!
Python Swoope says
First Post ! Shouldn’t they be teaching those in the SO “how to make money”?
JR says
It’s always “all about the money”. Every scam that takes people in, builds “networks” or “down lines” (pyramids too) is all about money. Religion is all about money too – and control, but Scientology isn’t a religion as most people know. But it’s certainly about control – and making billions of dollars in the process from worker-bee slaves who are brainwashed into believing that they can buy their way towards “freedom”.
The world that Scientology hopes to build is one of domination, not really any different then any other fascist endeavor. At the top, will those who are in control and reap the financial benefits. At the bottom and most places inbetween, are those who are earnestly seeking to make a difference (and working the most). The world isn’t changing because it’s the same top-down control by the same kind of people who think they’re better then everyone else.
This story is older then the real pyramids and nobody should fall for it anymore, but sadly, many still do.

source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/news/john-travoltas-gotti-scores-zero-percent-on-rotten-tomatoes/ar-AAyI0VS?li=BBnbfcL
John Travolta’s new movie “Gotti” hit rock bottom faster than a cinderblock tied to a body being thrown into a river.
“Gotti” has scored a zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes from film critics, a rare feat managed by only a few dozen movies. At the time of this writing, only 17 reviews have been counted for the film, so the film’s fortune could change. But, as of now, all reviews of the Travolta film are currently are rotten.

Hubbard’s money greed cannot be washed out of Scientology, excepting, I wonder how greedy Ron’s Org Switzerland (Max Hauri’s Ron’s Org group in Grenchen, Switz) seems not overly greedy, so I always wonder IF that lingering Ron’s Org following around the world if that is slipping by unnoticed, and will those non-greedy Scientologist splinter groups be the inheritors of some longer range different type of non-money focused Scientology, who knows.
