Berlin Ideal Org
I´ve been a staff in Berlin at the time of the opening of the “Ideal” (idealized) Org in 2007 and left the Church last year, in the meantime SP-declared.
The numbers of Joburg Org for me seem rather “good” numbers compared to what I know from Berlin:
Staff there was and is having less staff pay compared to Joburg. In 2007 it was about 20 € / week (~25 $). Summer 2012 there was no Staff pay at all for quite some months, sometimes you got your 1 or 2 €.
From 2008 – 2012 the average GI / week was about 3.500 € (~4.000 $).
For a long time there was an out-PR-sign at the elevator: “This elevator is only for the use of PCs and students” to remind also new staff that the electricity was far too expensive to also allow staff to use the elevator (6-level-building plus basement).
There were times when the phones were shut off, because of unpaid bills…
Some Staff were fare dodging to go to the allhands-book-stand, since no money. Some were stealing food from the canteen, so that HCO even had to install cameras. When even this didn´t work out, they had to install vending machines, in order to prevent further stealing.
Same as in Joburg green wogs were hired and not being told about the low wages – which put the recruits into personal danger sits.
The uniform problem – the same also here. You had to dry clean it – which was not done anymore because of the high costs. The uniforms of many staff members look terribly worn-out.
From 8 posted HGC auditors in 2007 there is one still left. Some of them blew straight, when they “got” it, some were needed in the Academy. Now the HGC is manned by one auditor, the Snr. C/S auditing and the Tech Sec auditing – in case one of the few left publics finds his way there.
Numbers of Staff are more or less the same like Joburg.
I cannot give too many details about Malmö (Sweden), but according to reports of people who had been on staff there, it doesn´t really differ.
Gold “Expansion Videos”:
Regarding this article I just can add that it hasn´t been different over here in Europe.
In Berlin, soon after the opening of the “Ideal” (idealized) Org in 2007 Gold came over to take pictures of the Dianetics book sellers.
We had to go to the famous “Brandenburger Tor” in order to have a Berlin typical scenery. Since IN FACT we had only about 3 people you could have called FSMs or public booksellers, once in a while – all staff that was dispensable for some hours were ordered to go there to “fill” the picture. In order to not make it too obvious that those on the picture were not active public – like announced – we had to wear private/casual clothes or got a red Dianetics jacket over our Staff uniform. Additionally every tourist that was standing around watching the filming, was invited to join the filmed “Dianetics book sellers team”, too. So we made a group of about 40 people.
This was the last time I´ve ever been happy about seeing expansion videos.
Later, when I met Staff of the Gold film team somewhere I asked them why they never shot “live” pictures, “real” photos. I always got a non-answer and was being told that there were “confidential” hatting materials from Ron, which would answer all my questions, which they couldn’t show me. – Hidden data line.
I even wrote an RTC report about this a few years ago, mentioning that those actions were in fact pure lies – giving the idea that there was a big team, when there was in fact no public book sellers team at all. Of course I never got a reply on this.
In the German blog INDEPENDOLOGY (http://indipendology.wordpress.com/) the latest subject is ‘The two faces of an organization” an email was published written by a person (who liked to remain anonymous) to those who publish the blog.
These are people who describe themselves as being LRH loyal Scientologists who object to how the Church has developed under its new leader.
The person wrote that she was staff in the Berlin Ideal Org and that she was proud to be there helping people on their way to go free.
I will translate a little from the email:
“Recently I have asked myself why there are people like you who try to destroy everything. As far as the tech is concerned I know it, but looking at it with common sense I have no explanation why you are trying to destroy the way to freedom. I thought: ‘I am working my ass off so that everyone has the chance to go free, and those are trying to stop everything.’ I did not find an answer. It is normal that there are people who don’t want that others become free. This is why it is so difficult for me to understand, because I did not consider it normal.
Ok., you do exist, you are the ones who do everything trying to stop others. That’s your nature, you are designed to do that, that’s all you are able for in life. Looking upon it like that it is not at all a problem for us here on the other side !!!!!!! Just continue doing according to your implants, we do the other !!!!!!
But unfortunately I have to tell you that you are doing bad bad work. Becausssse in the end everything goes exactly the other way than you have planned. People are interested in our Ideal Org, they want to know what Scientology is. Since some have gone and others were kicked out who were visiting your blog and spread lies as they had to justify their behaviour, everything even goes better.
It has become very simple! Not having counter-intentions works true wonders. Our ED is very UPSTATE since a long time, the preparations for the continuous preparations are running on full speed. It is a fantastic pleasant atmosphere in the org as we had never before. Ideal Orgs are opening their gates WORLDWIDE one after the other for people who are not being influenced by people like you. Germany has two Ideal Orgs and the next one is in preparation. More and more people want to go up the Bridge. Flag produces Clears and OTs continuously …. etc etc. I could continue for hours but time is too precious to waste it here. I have said what I wanted to say, at least the kind version. I am not angry with you because I know that in essence the being is good, and when it starts to become bad it starts sopping itself eventually. That’s why I am not worrying at all. Therefore: Good luck in failing.”

Many of you might be used to such statements. I am not.
It is like seing dogs and calling them dogs while another person says that these are birds and that you are a liar.
I am going to write to the Berlin Org asking for two meetings to discuss such contradictions. At the first meeting I will hear their arguments and will already react. Then, for the second meeting I will be well prepared with facts and numbers I can present.
As far as OSA is concerned they never discussed my criticism. Now I am curious it the org will also refuse a dialogue.

STOPPING THE NIGHTMARE
It must be a nightmare for those who are still working in the Berlin org (and other orgs).
When they started they thought they were joining a group which was fighting for FREEDOM. But then they made observations which strongly suggested that they actually had joined a group which worked AGAINST freedom of information, of speech and even thought, which is suppressing the free will, which is lying and betraying them.
But once they wake up and start investigating about their doubts it is often too late for just leaving.
I know a person who finds herself sitting in this trap. If she left the Church she would lose her entire family. So she stays.
Without doubt the Church is in the process of dying. But unfortunately DM seems to have saved a Billion Dollars or more which will enable him to maintain his tortures for maybe another couple of years.
Until his realm will fall apart one day and with it his powerful tool of forced disconnection Ten Thousands, maybe Hundred Thousand families will continue suffering from being separated.
And apart from that: all people still involved with the Church are being suppressed, cheated, damaged.
What could be done – apart from what already has and is being done by many brave people who publicly stood up?
We could start brainstorming how DM can be stopped in a much shorter period of time. I am convinced that there are quite a few possibilities.
I have devised a powerful scheme myself about which I will be informing you in just a couple of days.

I am angry, indeed. And I can well see how this stimulates my creativity.
(Without anger – no creativity, no ideas, no enthusiasm for fighting…)
The Berlin “Ideal Org” was doomed to failure and this was obvious to anyone with half a brain from the beginning. Miscavige forced this ideal org into existence (non-existence?) as a priority, clearly as a big, in-your-face,”fuck you” to the German government. At the time the org and the field were both quite small, and the environment hostile and public repute horrible. There was no way it was going to succeed. This was a total enforced overt have from Miscavige to the Scientologists of Germany, and anyone on management lines over the org, stuck with the huge amount of effort and expense that went into creating that mess. The evolution to open this org led to the demise of the then-CO OSA Int (Veronique Bromberg) as she disappeared into the Hole when the city of Berlin would not allow the closure of the street in front of the org so that “crowds” bussed in from all over Europe could form the desired audience in front of the org. Again, anyone with half a brain would know the city would not allow the street to close, nor would it ever be possible to compel a street closure in the courts, for the simple reason that this is a high traffic street and main artery between the city and the airport. Miscavige, punishing others who could not salvage the impossibly overt product he shoved up everyone’s a-holes.
I was recruited for Berlin Ideal org in Summer 2009. 3 recruiters were at my house 500 km away from Berlin plundering my fridge for about one week. So finally I gave it a try as having asked a lot of questions.
Q: “Will we have pay to survive?”
A: “You will get enough to survive, maybe a bit moonlighting for the rent.”
Fact: Staff pay was zero to 30 Euro for an officer in affluence. 50 Euro xmas-bonus. Staff pay did not ever cover the costs for transportation and dry cleaning the uniform. We had to sweat a lot in the summer in the CF, the air condition was switched off – too expensive. But: If you’re over weighted, it’s a good choice to be staff there, I lost 18 kgs (40 pounds) in one year.
Q: “Will there be someone to continue with my assist program?”
A: “Of course, we care for our staff.”
Fact: The assist program was not continued, instead I got invalidations as clear (A Clear is not dramatizing somatics!) when I insisted on my assists. Once in a while I got one or 2 assists, which turned the somatics on and I was left with one week pain. After 2 years I hired a field auditor to handle this situation on my own costs.
Q: “Will I have a special schedule, as I’m disabled and need more time for the usual chores?”
A: “Sure.”
Fact: I was successfully running my schedule, but then was forced to choose either day or foundation schedule. I was told: “You are here on the same terms as the rest of us!” and I just thought: ”OMG, it’s the bank that says that the group is all and the individual is nothing”.
Q: “Will we have supply in abundance that production can go on?”
A: “You just fill out a form every week.”
Fact: We had to fight for even a pen. There was no white paper, only cheaper scratch paper left over from printing tests which was left white on one side. You need scotch tape? Or a marker? Then even scratch paper was no longer available, I got the paper for my post from a public who collected it from the university. I was AdressO and needed to create files for new book buyers. Well, I kind of handcrafted them from used boxes or old promo pieces. Computer! When I entered into this office we had 11 working stations at our office. When my contract was over, only 4 were still working. No network operator, no money for spare parts, the units have been running there since opening for years with minimum maintenance. In order to be upstat sometimes I even bought folders, printing toner and paper on my own expense.
Q: “Is there a lot of co-auditing going on?”
A: “Yes, we have a lot of completions every week.”
Fact: Most Staff since years at Berlin not even completed objectives.
Q: “Do I have competent terminals there?”
A: “Most staff are fully hatted.”
Fact: I had no direct senior resulting in cross orders. During my 2 ½ years I haven’t seen any Senior Execs as ED, OES, PES, Qual Sec or DSA on course.
I could go on and on with this list of lies. When I arrived at Berlin and had my first staff meeting and I saw the stats, I had to suppress my tears when I realized this low ranges. And in an attack of excessive self-overestimation I thought, well there’s a lot to do and this is why you are here. I established quite some lines while being there but the whole system is doomed to fail, you’re not supposed to create your post. Instead you follow programs like a robot. No fun!
The Org was so undermanned that a lot of production time was used for all-hands: letter writing, book selling, flyer distributing, event callings, event set-ups, etc and of course cleaning station: at least Berlin Ideal Idle Org is a clean Org except those areas where no public body traffic was, especially the staff canteen (mice, food moths, fruit flies, mouldy leftovers, spoiled food in the fridges, dirty dishes, overflowing garbage cans, greasy and crumbly surfaces).
Conclusion: All show and no substance!
According to Debbie Cook’s e-mail and other sources, there is supposed to be in excess of a billion dollars held in Int Reserves. Yet it seems the church is always starving for money.To me this is a huge contrary fact.
I’d love it Mike if you would do some posts on why this is. What really is the state of Int Reserves? Is it really as empty as the idle orgs?
BREAKING NEWS! Chairman of the Board RTC, David Miscavige, has cleared the way for Saint Hill size staff roster in every Ideal Org by once again removing all arbitraries. Der Spiritual Leader for the 21st Century found when it came to following LRH’s OEC Vol I Policy, HCOs world over were once again dramatizing the Blind Leading the Blind. The handling, of course, is to get rid of certain arbitraries which were entered in by confounded typists back in the 1950s. But the key arbitrary that enabled this new breakthrough, which is being called New Age of Management II is the assumption by HCOs responsible for hiring staff that all staff had to be human. With Command Intention going in enforced by RTC, all kinds of reptiles and fish are being put on post now, now, now.
As of last night, Berlin Org now has 100 staff during the day and 100 staff at night. These staff consist of 3 humans plus 17 talking parrots in the Tech Div which have been trained using Golden Age of Tech II drills. The Dept 11 parrots say, “What do your materials state, aaaaaawwk?” while the Dept 12 HGC parrots say, “Has a withhold been missed, aaaaaawwk?”
A bright new day has also dawned in HCO where no less than 9 Ethics Officer can say, “Get the Basics or get declared, aaaaaawwk. Get the Basics or get declared, aaaaaawwk.”
Since there are only so many talking parrots, a search was done to find what sort of staff would best emulate the ideal “cold chrome steel” beingness of the Church of Scientology. Tigers topped the list but after a brief pilot in Ohanessbu G org they were removed from the list because they ate too many public. However, even the tigers would not eat IAS registrars since they apparently taste bad.
So once again Spiritual Leader of the 21st Century intervened and Captain David Miscavige solved the problem himself: the rest of the org board was posted with the idea “cold chrome steel” staff members — snakes, mostly Rattlers, Black Mambas, Horned Desert Vipers and 3 Spitting Cobras. About these new snake staff David Miscavige was heard to say, “Finally I get some staff who won’t give me pie face.”
The snakes were posted in Div 6 since with so many incredible videos that do all the dissemination automatically, Public Division staff are no longer needed that can talk.
All public are invited into their nearest Church organization for a tour. But please, no mongooses.

I think one has to dig through a lot of dirt to find the real scene. I had been staff as this messup started. I could observe lots of mass. For me it looked like mass from actual goals problems masses. Thus my conclusion had been that part of the situation had been intentional restimulation of case.
One major factor had been the „gangbang sec checks“. Those sec checks had an exact pattern. Maybe they looked like arbitratry screaming and shouting. But this is not the case. First of all the second or thrird person behind the meter is no arbitrary. Then the „severe reality adjustment“ had been done while the TA went down. (not while the TA did rise) Those doing the sec check had not been aware of this fact. A sec checker doing those sec checks had as part of this training also at least one of those sec checks. In order to restimulate the exact case factor in the sec checker. Thus this exact thing could be restimulated while he did this sec checking. The obvious had been the check istself and the screaming. But this is secondary. The restimulation of a exact point on the case is the real action behind that sec check. If you can audit people that had in 83 / 84 one of those you can find this pattern.

🙂 I appreciated that you took the time to provide specifics — it is helpful and deserves to be seen by more people than might have seen your comment.
I was particularly interested in the GI stat of $4,000 per week. That’s $200,000 per year. No wonder there are no staff salaries, since that is probably the amount of the electric bill and the phone bill. This would suggest that the worldwide GI is probably about $20 million for all the regular Ideal Orgs (not counting AOSH, FLAG, other specialty operations). This suggests that total RCS revenue is down significantly over just five years ago. Even if they’re still pulling in $1.5 million per week at Flag, this is beyond unbelievable. When you add this to the fact that a lot of the IAS “whales” are tapped out, RCS has to be getting squeezed badly from both ends. No wonder they’re so desperate to expand via Narconon, about the only avenue for growth that they haven’t screwed up completely… and that is just a matter of time with new allegations of insurance fraud and with more lawsuits at NN Oklahmoa almost daily. As Mike says, “It sucks to be Miscavige.”

I had been munich org staff in 1976. We at least had some 50 to 90 deutschmark (around 25 to 45 Euros) a week on the bottom of the org board. In 1989/90 I had a month usually a bit more than 800 deutschmark (400 Euro) with peak more than 500 Euro pay a week (bottom of the org baord without booksales or other sales commissions, regular upstat pay) I forgot exact date, but had been around 1992 they changed the pay formula. Then pay started to be low. Looks like that good pay for staff was not desired at upper management level. Thus they had to destroy it.
I watched Gold do the same trick at the opening of the mountain view org when they purchased it back in 2002. There were about 4 people in the academy at the time and they had been on a danger trend for years. When they showed the org at the event it was showing people piling in the doors. That was the beginning of the end for me. I couldn’t believe the lies in PR.

$ 4.000,- a week is horrible!! In the 90th, this was made on one (bad) day in a other german Org, not even close to “Ideal”.
This is true. In the 90th we had more than $ 4.000,- a day, but also when these days wre “great”, people went up the bridge, did their academies….it only went in for some years, than they all were bankrupt, and had to handle their hugh debts, credits they took to get up the bridge to become free….. But how can you be free, if you really have big debts…and your survival is in danger? So already there it was insane! And the strange thing,also when the GI was over the top…the “normal” staffs had their 5 DM (2,50 €) a week….. Why? Well it was used for expensive excursions of the ED, who was on target 2. What is target 2? I don´t know if it is from Ron, I´m not green-on-white trained…. Target one, we were told, is, an ED sets up a functioning Org. When there staffs are able to run the Org by themselves, the ED can go out on “more” responsible projects. This is target 2. And this ED went to the wars of Bosnia and “handled” it. Whatever else you were told in TV, yes..it was this great ED, who handled “all”. And if the stats went little down, we were kind of SPs, because we pulled her back into the Org again, taken her out of this most important project, which would have safed the world, because we were so unable. But was she a real freedom fighter? Well, her excursions were full of luxury I found out later……
This is so gross! The staff get only 20 $ per week? !!!!! It’s obvious this “Ideal” org cannot MOVE. It’s so “ideal” (like others) that the emphasis is on Quality and not on Quantity. Thus you get No Viability.
Actually ALL “Ideal” Orgs, DM’s style, are like giants which are not flexible. His emphasis on Quality is the wrong emphasis. Quantity is the first thing one seeks for viability.
DM twists the tech and policy and basic theories of Scientology in such a way as to make Scientologists believe he is doing the right thing. But the stats speak by themselves. No PR will salvage this scene.

It’s good to have these pictures of orgs that folks are sending as I have never seen these orgs before. Thanks to the correspondents. It’s heartbreaking too, hearing that the buildings are empty. Miscavige is one big withhold. No wonder he is obsessed with sec checking everybody but himself.
Never use lies in PR.
Seek to live with the truth.
Maintain friendly relations with the environment and the public.
Always deliver what you promise.
Set a good example.
Don’t do anything illegal.
I sometimes think the only LRH quote miscavige really felt he could apply is “make lots of money.”

When i was on staff i was the Div 6 supervisor at London not-so-Ideal Org and whenever Gold would come to film my course room, i would always have a hard time filling it up. We would ALWAYS run out into the street and scream “who wants to be in a movie??” or grab staff members and get them out of their uniforms and into regular clothes so they looked like public. Usually Gold would position their cameras so they filmed only half the course room. Then the next shot would be the other half with the same people but facing different ways and different clothes in order to make it look packed!
I always felt wrong seeing this but knew i would get into trouble for saying this. It would be an “enemy-line” or whatever its called. I was then sent to Flag for Class 6 Snr C/S training and saw on an event those exact shots from my course room. Miscavidge would be saying how our stats would have tripled. (yeah…going from 1 to 3) lol! And how great we are and how well we are doing. He would also be saying how we are blowing up and filling our ideal org like crazy.
My pay 90% of my three years on staff varied between £0-10. We would occasionally (once in a blue moon) get 50k from someone and our pay would bump up to £100 for one week if we were lucky…
I’ve experienced all of the above first hand! Ive tried explaining this to my parents and they wont see it. I haven’t spoken with my parents for a while now and don’t know if i ever will again. My son wont ever know them at this rate and it makes me sad to think that this is happening all over the world. Today is my mum’s birthday and i couldn’t stop thinking about how stupid it all is.
People in the Church of Scientology are all soooo scared that they don’t see the truth. I used to see it but couldn’t convince myself it was wrong. I wonder if people in the church all see that and they are all scared to admit it to themselves.
This is a long comment but had to share my thoughts when i read this about the Berlin Ideal Org. London was the same when i was last there a few years ago.

I’ve read all the book about upper management like Marc’s or Amy’s etc. They are so insane so its easy for someone to say those books are lies. People in idea org or even public don’t see any of that stuff going on so its hard to believe. I think the more public/staff level type of stories are out there the more it will create an effect on all Scientologists.

Shane, your story would have any outsider shake their heads in total disbelief. Most would undoubtedly ask: “Well why didn’t you just up and leave ?” The short answer ?

The above cliche answer, unfortunately, also happens to apply across the board.
What keeps people from knowing? —More short answers– brain-washing, mind- control, fear, blackmail, disconnection,( threat of actual family severances,included ) loss of “eternity”,exposure and of course, the “only” bridge to total FREEDUMB!
What sustains public and staff alike, in keeping on keeping on, when all indicators are screaming to just get the hell out of the scene? Short answers again—- ” THAT will get handled in “ethics,” your next level, “by donating to Super Power, ” Super Power, ” if you buy another 10 intensives, ” If you join the Sea Org, ” donate to IAS etc, etc, etc ad-nauseum.
More short answers? –Lies, mystery sandwiches, Kool-Aid, and for dessert, repeat!

Yeah unfortunately mentioning the word “brainwashed” to any Scientologist will instantly make them not like you and disbelief anything you say. I never believed it until i was out in the freezing rain one night around 1am trying to break up with Chrissie (at the time my girl friend, now my wife). I was trying to convince myself that i wanted to leave her and then i realized when my parents texted me asking if i’de done it yet that the amount of control from the church was horrible. I realized that for the last 4-6 months i’de been saying i wanted to stay with Chrissie and they wouldn’t allow it. Its silly to say but that’s when i realized how much pressure and control Scientology puts on its members. And what i said and wanted didn’t matter to them. She was evil and that was that.
I still remember the exact second when my mind really became “free”. It felt so good to realize i didn’t have to do what they told me to do and I “blew” to America a few hours later with Chrissie. If only everyone in the church could realize that!!
Dear Shane,
I am sorry that your parents disconnected from you. In my viewpoint, a parent’s responsibility to his child only ends at death. No matter how much pressure was put on them, for your parents to disconnect is unconscionable.
Thank you. And i cant agree with you more. Now that I have a child of my own i could never do what Scientologist do to their own children and family members. Its amazing what happens in terms of “The Greater Good”

ST, let me also please extend my feelings and understanding to Shane, for what he has had to come to terms with. Being disconnected from, is the ultimate betrayal!
Shane, the process of waking up, has, as it turns out, begun with YOU! Your relaying
of that life-changing “exact second, when my mind became free….” That waking up,
as a process, is probably unique for each person. It takes as long as it takes.

Don’t think “People in the Church of Scientology are all so scared that they don’t see the truth” no…but afraid to loose the only road out of mud, in the claws of lies, can’t imagine to be betrayed, scientology have some reals ennemies, it is horrendous to conceive that the ennemy also is inside. Our Pope of CofS is considered a hero, won epic batles, (portland, IRS, Interpol) even is all these historical stories are big false pr, some facts aren’t correctly reported. This man (DM) is the best madison man, merit the best PR man medal. Look how Guillaume Lesevre is submissive to our dear leader in the recent event, why ? (I knew him personally, very nice, capable person) from my own viewpoint, he know the truth, want to preserve the church, faithful to LRH writting, search the way out, like Herber. In the grip of pure drama, to preserve reputation of the church or blow and expose the DM scam. unbearable…how long
I am scientologist in good standing, there are some of us that are aware of what is going on. Hope is what support us, still we can strike back.
Shane – I can’t figure out how to respond to a specific comment, but I think that the moment of clarity and release you’re describing – and in fact, the ENTIRE experience of indoctrination into the CoS – almost exactly mirrors battered woman syndrome. Right down to the public criticism: why don’t you just LEAVE for chrissakes. Not to sound all new age-y, but it’s a moment of re-discovering your power. Like . . . you’ve been in a wheelchair your entire life with people telling you that you can’t walk, and one day just . . . standing up. It’s simple and profound all at once. I’m really glad for you that you were able to do this for yourself. Keep your fingers crossed my sister can do the same.

I’ve read a lot of Cine EDs which is hatting material and have not seen any reference or LRH on “live” vs staged.
The simple reason is that LRH never agreed to having International events as it was not good for international stats when staff are pulled off their posts.
OMG, that is really really bad, the public are being lied too like no other. Miscavology and Cruisology has effectly destroyed the scene.
