The Great New Era Webinar and How Scientology Fakes “Good News”

February 13, 2023 By Mike Rinder 26 Comments

New Era, which seems to have taken on a new role as sort of the "continental org" for Europe trying to sell scientology to new public, held a "Dissemination Webinar" and we were sent some screen shots from an attendee that provide some interesting insights.     The lineup was a "who's who" of scientology FSM hucksters. Arte Maren, Rafferty Pendery, Michael Chan, Andrea D'Agostini, Pier Paderni.   Here is the "good news" (featuring not recently seen nor heard from Joy Villa) -- with the typically vague "hundreds of thousands of people introduced to … [Read more...]

Hype It Like There’s No Tomorrow

January 8, 2023 By Mike Rinder 33 Comments

The hype for the replaying of Mr. Mickiewicz's New Years Patron Awards/briefing was over the top, but none more so than from Vicki Shantz, the "Continental Commander" of the Western United States. Vicki has been a long-term, loyal, ass-kissing subject of the COB. But even by her standards, this pleading to attend the event is sickening. She goes on about "Staggering accomplishments," "awe-inspiring new Patrons," "EPIC preview," "monumental," "spectacular," "revitalizing," "one of the most incredible briefings to-date," and "to move us into the future as the most vital force for the … [Read more...]

Scientology International Events Are No More

December 28, 2022 By Mike Rinder 41 Comments

David Miscavige used to conduct 5 or 6 "International Events" each year where all scientologists were "briefed" on the version of scientology in the world he wanted everyone to hear. These events were required attendance for scientologists, and staff spent weeks calling public repeatedly to "confirm" their attendance. Traditionally, the annual "New Year's" event was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles in the week between Christmas and New Year's Eve and was then sent out to all orgs to be played as their "New Year's Celebration." These events were vitally important to keep … [Read more...]

The Big Nothingburger Event

August 22, 2022 By Mike Rinder 44 Comments

The "wider" Bridge is the same old Bridge t . But boy are they excited! They don't have to wear gloves or masks any more and "only" require a 3-day quarantine if you come from "out of town." (Of course, people from "out of town" are much more contagious than those "in town") What is so amazing is that they think this is what has been "holding them back" -- that they could not deliver the Purif and TR's and Objectives. They have a much more fundamental problem than that. They cannot get new people to come in for ANY service. A serious question -- how does it make the … [Read more...]

Stories About Ron — More News

May 25, 2022 By Mike Rinder 30 Comments

Thought you might be interested to see what sort of turnout the ideal org in Melbourne mustered for  Tales from the Crypt night with Wick "Stickyfingers" Allcock. According to Anita Liza, the "audience was captivated"... Anita included some shots of the crowd that assembled... Unfortunately, no shots of the great storyteller himself, but the number of attendees (and their average age) says a lot about the state of the "ideal org" in Melbourne, supposedly one of the "best" ideal orgs. You know, those orgs that immediately "10X" their "expansion" once Dear Leader hisself has yanked … [Read more...]

Personal Stories About Ron — Sort Of

May 18, 2022 By Mike Rinder 35 Comments

This reminds me of when they put James Byrne out to pasture to tell "personal stories" about the Commodore. All a 50 year SO veteran is good for is an event in Melbourne org? This of course is not likely to generate much revenue, so it tells you how unimportant he is seen to be. If he is in Australia it should at least be being held at AOSHANZO where there are more whales (or at least the Australian version -- James Packer no longer in the mix so the average whale size went down by a factor of 43X...) If he has such good stuff, he should really be doing this at Flag where the real whales … [Read more...]

Maiden “Voyage”?

May 14, 2022 By Mike Rinder 15 Comments

We recently saw how the May 9th celebration has been turned into a mention at graduation in local orgs. It used to be an "international event" held at the Shrine Auditorium. Now apparently the "Maiden Voyage" is being "celebrated" as a "Taking it to New Heights" (Lows?) "festival" at CC Int. One has to wonder whether the paranoia of Miscavige is dictating how everything is being conducted in scientology? Is there really not going to be a "Maiden Voyage" again this year? If it's not the fear of COVID dictating events, it's probably the fear of being served in lawsuits that is driving his … [Read more...]

Scientology’s Ridiculous Claims of “Expansion”

April 20, 2022 By Mike Rinder 31 Comments

Captain Miscavige regales his sheeple with over-the-top claims of "unprecedented expansion" at every event he holds. The flowery Shermanspeak pours forth and the adoring crowds eat it up. They don't ever seem to remember what was said in the previous event, let alone last year or 5 years ago. If they kept track of the claims they would quickly realize they are utterly ridiculous. Over the years, numerous countries have "fully adopted LRH tech" and the military of literally dozens of nations have "embraced the Way to Happiness" and international corporations are "now operating on the LRH … [Read more...]

A First Ever Event of It’s(sic) Kind

April 4, 2021 By Mike Rinder 43 Comments

There is always a boom "coming" in scientology. The new "breakthrough" that is going to make everything that has been promised for decades finally come true. But what is so odd about this is that it is an article of faith that they ALREADY have all the technology there is. The ONLY technology. The answers to all of life. So what is now going to be different? Without doubt, absolutely nothing. But these people WANT to believe there is something new just around the corner. This time Miscavige has "repackaged" the Organization Executive Course (OEC). Nothing NEW, just a new format for … [Read more...]

“Come On” Gibberish

August 15, 2020 By Mike Rinder 37 Comments

Word is going out to try to get people to come back into orgs to watch the screening of a new "event." Apparently, "It's Time" and the subject is a "Brief Breath in Eternity" (which is a rather unfortunate subject for a briefing that is apparently about the amazing work scientology has done dealing with the "planetary bullbait" of COVID - 19) or how everyone is "stepping 3 feet back" (like 1 step forward and 3 back?) They are getting the hype out right away in typical scientology style -- "as soon as we have a date we will let you know." Hope the brief breath hasn't expired by the time … [Read more...]
