Scientology TV (Cult Shopping Network) Fail

July 23, 2018 By Mike Rinder 95 Comments

Despite what scientology says, apparently people are NOT “Curious?” At least not to hear the official propaganda from scientology.

The problem with the internet is that it makes it so much harder to hide your bs.

This is an image from Google Trends. It is not doctored. It’s not lies from bitter defrocked apostates on the fringes of the internet. It is available for anyone in the world to see (including the scientologists). No bias. Just raw numbers comparing the interest in scientology tv to the interest in Scientology The Aftermath (don’t forget, The Aftermath is not currently airing new episodes).

This is the description of what this graph represents.

Miscavige spent tens of millions of dollars, perhaps a hundred million, putting together this TV channel and the scripted, rehearsed and acted infomercials for scientology that run 24/7.

Is anyone Curious?

We thought not.

Maybe it’s time to change their billboards.

I live in Williamsville, N.Y. (a suburb of Buffalo), and ever since Scientology and the Aftermath I started seeing ADs for Scientology and even hearing ADs on the talk radio station here promoting the channel (which I’m glad I don’t have that provider because seeing it would make me vomit). Makes me want to vomit every time I hear or see them. My friend used to work in a mall here and she always told me “if anyone approaches you about a Stress Test run the other way”. They must be getting desperate. I just turned 40 and only within the last year have I started seeing these ADs. I know we have a Scientology Center in Buffalo. Can’t drive by it without wanting to be physically sick.

I’m happy for Laura. God, what she’s been through! So typical of the cult to drag it out as long as possible all the while knowing they’d never let the Dwarf testify or be deposed. God, they’re despicable. But never mind, very well done, Laura!

They don’t seem to care how MUCH $$$ it cost “them” to fight any lawsuit….that is because the $$$ does NOT come out of DM’s pocket…it comes from the sweat & hard work of the Sea Org members & the members who pay thousands and thousand for courses to nowhere. They HAVE to win at all costs as in “attack attack attack”….hoping that the person will tire and give up their fight. When all comes to being lost….the “band” decides to tell the “little man”…”Pay up or you’ll be in court sitting in the hot seat”. End of story, they pay up to SHUT UP & get this OUT of the public view.

Looks like Allison Mack is in for more trouble, along with Rainier and the rest of them…..why why why was THIS investigated when the same words apply to another well known “group”…..

Mike, an off topic question for you if you don’t mind:

By dragging out this case, isn’t it likely that the cult spent far more on attorneys’ fees than what they gave Laura? Just curious about your take on this, unless you’re planning an article about it, in which case, no worries, I can wait.

The only thing that makes me ” Curious ” is wether Scamology will act like one of the many shopping channel s out there and give the clients their money back if not satisfied , I THINK NOT !!! .
In fact the only people that showed any interest would be the ones that were looking for a good laugh , in fact I can still hear them laughing now .
What a total joke these people are , you would think that after all the real stories that have come out about them over the years they would have grown a brain and changed there ways , Opps sorry I forgot – Miscavage does not have a brain just a vacant space between his ears , guess that gives him more room for all the BS that he spouts from time to time .

REMINDER… The newest Tom Cruise movie, “Midlife Crisis: Fallout”, is coming out on July 27.

Please, everyone, go out to the cinema that night, and see and support ANYTHING BUT Tom Cruise.
He is the face of scientology, and he must own it. Boycott him and his criminal organization.

To all celebrity scientologists, I wrote the press release for you. Please use it:

“While I have gained some benefits from the practices of scientology, my conscience can not allow me to remain a member of an organization that has a proven track record of human rights abuses. I beg forgiveness from anyone that was influenced by me to become a member of scientology, and for anyone that was hurt by my membership.”

If you spoke these words, or something similar, we will support you. Until then, we will boycott your projects.

    Wow, scientologists take note.

Your so-called “leader”, David Miscavige, threw a Hail Mary pass into the abyss, spending an obscene amount of parishioner donation money, all for… NOTHING.

Nobody gives a f*** about scientology TV, except for the laughing stock it is, and the occasional beer drinking game.

This is the best your leader could do? What a colossal failure!

Not much is happening inside. It looks they have about 12 to 15 students. And boy do they want you to watch Scientology TV! They even gave me a booklet about all the shows on Scientology TV. I can’t wait to see them!

Miss Q, I can actually be charming when I want to. And the girl who was giving the tour was very nice. She was saying how important ‘help’ is. I don’t know what she was talking about. But, very few students. And, as I said, they want everyone to watch Scientology TV. She was insistent that I watch all the shows on Scientology TV. I told her I would…but, the pamphlets, somehow disappeared.

I also saw them righting down the license numbers of the cars parked there.

Very happy for Laura. I personally wish Leah and Mike would bring up this case. Whistleblowers are bringing about the only positive changes we have seen in this church. If it werent for the whistleblowers the leader of this church would probably still be beating his staff, forced abortions would still be in full force, members would still be pummeled to give give give every penny they have to this church for nothing. I’ve heard rumors that staff are getting paid more and are treated better and the RPF is gone.
      Thank you whistleblowers.

      I think this is amazing:
“…Lawyers for the Church of Scientology and a former member settled a lawsuit she filed nearly a decade ago, in which she alleged she was forced to work long hours before [Laura Ann DeCrescenzo] was a teen and was coerced to have an abortion at age 17, lawyers for the parties told a judge Monday. …
The church was a defendant in the suit along with its Religious Technology Center. The suit’s allegations included forced abortion, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, unfair business practices and wage and hour violations. …” mynewsla.com

So, the church dragged this case of horrible abuse out for more than a decade, but when it came to them going to court and all the dirty shit becoming public, they caved and settled. CO$ is slime, criminal, and horrific.

I remember reading about engrams and e-meters and thetans and just being dismayed that Tom Cruise bought into this nutty stuff. I find it utterly disgusting that Miscavige considers Scientologists THAT STUPID by hey, why not? Hubbard groomed the path in creating gaslighted and indoctrinated people. Persistence in blind assertions of Scientology lies (in plain view of the truth) is not an indicator of an “ethical being” it’s the sad picture of a fully indoctrinated victim who refuses the key to the idealogical jail cell they helped build for themselves and others.

The “curious” part of Miscavige’s “mystery sandwich” is no longer working because today 99% of Scientology press is BAD press which satisfies the curiosity of what IS Scientology: It is bad. The 1% of their “good press” lasts only as long as OSA stooges can maintain a “con” on public officials to support their social betterment front groups. Once these officials discover it is really a Scientology front group (Thank god for Rod Keller), they back-down or backout.

In the 1970’s and 80’s before Miscavige took over Scientology, I talked about Scientology to random people on trains and planes. Most had not heard about Scientology and some demonstrated a curiosity. Today nearly everyone has heard Scientology is some kind of nut case cult and/or a menace to society. The only thing they are curious about is who are the nut cases besides Tom Cruise and why are they a menace to society??? Well, THAT is why they watch The Aftermath.

A & E should adopt Miscavige’s advertisement by running teaser ads: “Are you curious about Scientology??? Watch The Aftermath.”

Quite true. Scientology is NOT in the Condition of “Non-Existence”. The cult has no need to “make itself known” because everyone ALREADY knows about it, and not in a good way.

Well, it appears to me that hardly anyone is interested in Cult TV…what was that? Really? Ok, ok, Scientology TV. Either way, no one is subscribing.

Hey I was interested enough to watch it for about a minute. There’s nothing like a religious leader in a fancy suit to inspire confidence. After all, Dave is a confidence man.

Now that’s interesting – Scientology, you can’t even give it away. Only through lies and coercion can it be “sold.” Sure expensive make believe hey?
Once again it can be commented, if it worked, this blog wouldn’t exist and the Aftermath would be how you feel the next day after a great night out.

Subscription to cult TV is probably mandatory now for the Still Ins or at least for those on VII.

Let $cieno TV run rampant. Rampant I tell you!!! Every day of its operation, $cieno TV drains the Clam coffers more and more. Anyone who wanders by $TV will watch for few minutes and laugh their asses off and then stop on the Knife channel, because Knifes are very shiny….

Hear, hear! I logged onto that channel the other day and all I could see were those videos they show on the FART machines in the orgs! What is the point of showing videos from the org on the internet? I’ve got something to air on that network that will really entertain people and it’s a Scientology reboot of “The Munsters”.
      Ready? Here goes:
A group of Sea Org members show up on the Munsters’ doorstep to body route them onto services. When Herman answers the door, their TRs go out after getting one good look at him and they take off running. Inside, Grampa realizes that they’re Scientologists and sends Spot running after them. They manage to temporarily elude Spot and return to the org to report on the ordeal they just went through. They return to the house with the ED for another visit. This time Grampa answers the door, recognizes them, and again calls for Spot who eats the entire group in one swallow. We end with Lily commenting how she wishes people wouldn’t visit them before Spot has been fed.
Now tell me THAT wouldn’t get people to watch Scientology TV!

Per the dictionary curious means ‘eager to know or learn something’, yet, it is already known that the ‘church’ of scientology is a criminal organization that has perpetrated scams and abuses on its parishioners and staff.

So, there is nothing new to know or to be eager to learn about such an institution.

This tells me that DM might really believes his own bullshit. Why else would he embarrass himself so publicly? From the free side o the cult, one can clearly see that this ‘network’ (24 hour infomercial) would never be sustainable. Now they’ve got to keep THIS sham going too.
As I am writing the above I just had a cognition, albeit non sequitur: The main thing $cientology made me MORE able to do is…. is deal with $cientology! Whoa

I live about 10 minutes South of the Clearwater Scientology headquarters, the Fort Harrison. Several months ago I began noticing the “Curious”…(We thought so) signs up and down US 19. Ummm…hell no. What I am curious about is when Scientology might be leaving town once and for all. I (and myriad others) would love to see down town Clearwater returned to the citizens and visitors of Pinellas County. I wish I could afford a few signs of my own to put up and down US 19…”Release the captives of Scientology”. Keep up the good work Mike.

      ylfrith,

You are totally correct; a myriad of folks would LOVE to see the cult vanish and the city return to normal. This is from talking with many, many of them and hearing their broad ranging disgust for it. Right down to a manager of a “goodwill” store who told me they would not accept all the cult books I would donate. The response was “we do not wish to appear to be supportive of the cult”. After other such incidents I finally took them all to the dump.

Hi y, I get that the majority of CW ppl want the cult out. However, can you explain to me why the ppl in CW keep supporting the block parties, xmas Wonderland and all the other “community” bs the put on? I get very frustrated when I see how many ppl show up for these events. Why keep supporting them??
