The “Game” — Hand Over Your Stimulus Check to Pay Our Staff

January 13, 2021 By Mike Rinder 48 Comments

Not only did scientology New York get $184,000 from the Coronavirus slush fund to "pay" their "staff" even they claim to OTHER government agencies that they don't have any employees, only "volunteers" in order to skirt labor laws, they are now also telling their people to turn over their stimulus checks because it's an "extended Holiday Bonus" for the staff. This "holiday bonus" is a joke -- I don't mean for the staff, it is VERY important, as it might be the one time in a whole year that they get more than $50 a week. Signs of the Times

April 20, 2020 By Mike Rinder 87 Comments

In lieu of Thursday Funnies, we have a few things that have flopped over the transom that make for entertaining reading in these strange times. If you were wondering what the Sea Org "management" people are doing (in the Continental Liaison Offices and at the Flag Bureau) this gives a clue. The "managers" in EUS are "delivering" extension courses. With the orgs having little or no income, these management units are really struggling to come up with a few dollars for food. Their income, meager as it is, comes from the orgs. When the orgs make 0, the SO Units make 0. The difference is, in … [Read more...]

The Scientology Staff Recruitment Pitch

April 3, 2018 By Mike Rinder 121 Comments

Despite what they tell themselves about their expansion, this was found on "MeetUp" and I thought it fascinating. Scientology is back to trying to recruit "wogs". Melbourne presents itself as one of the more successful "ideal" orgs -- and yet they apparently don't have a flow of new people to sign up for staff to deal with the inevitable attrition of those who leave because they cannot take the hours/insane demands or cannot survive on "staff pay", or both. Note the typically terrible spelling and grammar. And how they carefully call this "volunteering" and are given a "stipend … [Read more...]

Super excited to be working with @humfreyhunter on #ABillionYears. He has published all the recent important #scientology related books. A Billion Years will be released in the UK the same day as in the US -- 27 September.

Our Alaska trip had a big side benefit. Finally meeting @sarahjedmondson and @nippyames in person in Vancouver. After watching @TheVowHBO we connected and have been on each others’ podcasts. Survivors stick together!

Great take! It would be the most dangerous thing he ever did…

Chris Shelton, MSc @ChrisSheltonMsc

The only stunt I want to see this man perform is speaking out publicly against Scientology.

It would quite literally be the most dangerous thing he could ever do, far more so than these so-called "dangerous" stunts where his life was NOT really on the line at all. https://twitter.com/BritishGQ/status/1557314444392292352
