The Incredible, Amazing Portland Video. Oscar? Emmy? Nobel Peace Prize? Gettysburg II?

May 31, 2013 By Mike Rinder 51 Comments

The Portland Wagon Train keeps on rolling.   Here is the latest "WISE International" (Event Call In Unit IC), hype about the absolute VITAL importance of seeing this video of a speech given a month ago -- complete with ridiculous, fawning over the magnificence of "COB."   Obviously none of these people know the REAL story of Portland, just the Miscavige whitewashed version, and of course they forget the Crusade moved from Portland to Los Angeles and lost another massive case that WAS eventually paid to Wollersheim.  If you want to know the real story of Portland, read Marty Rathbun's book … [Read more...]

Sick of “Scientology City” Yet?

May 29, 2013 By Mike Rinder 28 Comments

They are certainly milking Portland (the first "Scientology City" according to the church) for all its worth.   Funny how they were terrified that this "Monumental Dedication Address" not be filmed by Mark Bunker and not be seen by anyone who is not already indoctrinated into the brilliance of Chairman of the Bored Technology Center. And now it is being shown 100 times as something "monumental." Come on now, if it's that good, shouldn't everyone be able to benefit from hearing/seeing what the great man had to say?  Is Scientology only for Scientologists? Why is Miscavige hiding his … [Read more...]

Scientology Photoshops Audience for Miscavige Event

May 12, 2013 By Mike Rinder 72 Comments

When you try to claim that a crowd of 400-500 is actually a crowd of 2,500, Photoshop is your best friend.  The Radical Church of Scientology is no stranger to photoshopping audiences and their "man with no head" audience member went viral after the 1999 New Years Event. Scientology Audience Doctored. However with all the attention on the Portland ("Scientology City") opening and the months of pressure to have Scientologists from all over the world fly in to puff up the crowd at the event, apparently the disappointment of unused chairs and low attendance was too much.  So when the … [Read more...]

David Miscavige Paranoia At Fever Pitch In "Scientology City"

May 11, 2013 By Mike Rinder 58 Comments

See the idiotic lengths Corporate Scientology went to in order to try to prevent Mark Bunker from shooting the ribbon cutting ceremony of the "Ideal Org" in "Scientology City" (known to the rest of the world as Portland Oregon).  Tony Ortega has had a running commentary provided by Mark Bunker documenting the events on his blog. One has to ask the question: Why bother? Miscavige jets into Portland to speak, along with some other duped "OLs" to "the public" on THE STREET.  Yet he is absolutely paranoid about Mark Bunker accessing a vantage point to film the proceedings. The church … [Read more...]

Corporate Scientology Taking the World by Storm

May 10, 2013 By Mike Rinder 24 Comments

Just a bit of light heartedness in preparation for the possible sighting of Heber as Miscavige's dancing bear tomorrow in Portland. If Heber does appear, he will not be talking to anyone unaccompanied and he owes a lot of people on the internet a thankyou for being allowed out of the Hole for a couple of days and getting a soda on the plane. Check out the SPECIAL INVITATION below. All you lucky Austinites can now pay $25,000 via Paypal to the Austin Ideal Org as part of celebrating taking Portland and the World by storm!  And best news of all, there is even an LRH quote to support it  … [Read more...]

Corporate Scientology Has No Shame — It Is Heber

May 2, 2013 By Mike Rinder 33 Comments

Well, I had to apologize on my post earlier when it turned out it was not Heber on the poster promoting the opening of Corporate Scientology's latest Ideal Org in the "first Scientology City." I just had the wrong poster. A kind reader, trying to repair my tarnished reputation, sent me this one. And there is no doubt THIS IS HEBER. I do remember Heber. Very well. And nobody should tarnish his memory by celebrating the opening of another squirrel center. And just by the by -- this "start of our winning tradition" and all the other bloviating about Portland omits the facts with a glossed over PR … [Read more...]

Remember Heber

May 1, 2013 By Mike Rinder 39 Comments

This is SICK. I doubt Heber -- who the church still promotes as its "President" -- will be in attendance for the opening of the "Ideal Org" in the "First Scientology City" (huh)? The gall of these people to put a picture of Heber on their poster -- when he is locked up and only allowed out for the funeral of his son (and only after Karen DelaCarriere shamed the church into it). He doesn't have another son, so I guess he isn't ever getting out again until its his funeral. Update: I did not inspect this poster closely enough and several have pointed out that the shot is in fact Leo … [Read more...]

The BS Beat Goes On — Portland. Seriously?

April 12, 2013 By Mike Rinder 42 Comments

More utter bs from the Ideal Org Hype Machine. It is interesting to see how they position things. Using a random LRH quote -- which either comes from RJ 28 or an SO #1 letter. Clearly some words of expressed support, like "I am counting on you to make Portland the first Scientology city."  This is now turned into a declarative statement that THIS is what LRH wanted. (If so, why in 30 years hasn't anything been done to make it happen). Portland is also, of course, the "home" of "our" Religious Freedom Crusade... Yes, it also the home of the Mission that "serviced" Julie Christofferson … [Read more...]
