Ryan Prescott’s Star Is Fading

June 17, 2021 By Mike Rinder 39 Comments

Someone sent these FB posts from Ryan Prescott, along with some information about him that I was unaware of but explains a lot. Ryan is looking a little worse for wear... He's got a bit of the "I might be a serial killer" vibe to his video appearances these days. Apparently he is still shouting into empty rooms with his wild conspiracy theories...   Wow, 2 libraries! I doubt "acquired" means "purchased." Donated more likely. Here is what I heard: Apparently Ryan was on staff at the Portland Org. But they let him go without a fight when his father moved back to … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

May 26, 2016 By Mike Rinder 117 Comments

Central Files This is REALLY important. And absolutely everyone is doing it! Even the Captain FSO (OMG) is involved!   The movies must be a popular thing! Wonder how many things are misfiled as people are distracted by JT or Steve Martin? No such luxury in Miami. You just get a finger pointed at you. And there is a Sea Org ProGAM chief there...   Pasadena SH Size They don't even have a Bookstore Officer? Then again, as my old friend Rob Williamson pointed out, they ARE the size of SH... As in small and empty. DEAR XXXXXX, CONSIDER THIS... "The … [Read more...]

Channels Onto “The Bridge”

March 9, 2016 By Mike Rinder 113 Comments

Scientology repeatedly denies this, but here it is in black and beige. The "Director of Clearing" of the Portland "ideal org" is proudly announcing how the "4D campaigns" (anti-drug, education, WTH, human rights, Volunteer Ministers) are really "dissemination tools" to get people into the org so they can be "closed" to buy scientology books and services. They are even conducting a seminar on "how to disseminate with these campaigns." The truth is these campaigns are ONLY supported for two reasons: For photo ops to try to present the image that scientology is selfless and provides … [Read more...]

Pathetic Portland Chapter XVII

September 21, 2015 By Mike Rinder 140 Comments

How low can an "ideal org" go? Putting out a promo piece about two people completing an Intro Course is a pretty good measure. There should literally be dozens, if not hundreds of these completions every week.  And if there were hundreds, they would still be 25,000 years away from "clearing Oregon" as a hundred basic course comps might translate into 20"Major Comps" and that in turn probably translates into 2 clears a week. 100 a year.   But to get the real answer about how low it can go, there is this:   Wow, that booming field is really "Clearing Portland" … [Read more...]

Clear Certainty Is A Clear Fail

August 31, 2015 By Mike Rinder 84 Comments

Remember back in early July the "new" Clear Certainty Rundown was announced. It was version 3 of something that Miscavige had earlier brought "totally in tech" and "exactly as LRH wanted it." And at the time, there was much hype about how every org is sending a "Clear Certainty Team" to Flag for a fast training program. Only take a week or two. Well, now nearly 2 months later only ONE team has apparently completed and returned to their org in WUS. And you can bet they are ahead of the non-US areas, and probably EUS too. This is typical of any of these training programs at Flag. They run … [Read more...]

Another Portland Ideal Org Fail

July 6, 2015 By Mike Rinder 93 Comments

This is a sad admission of the reality of working in a scientology org. This "ideal Org" ED is feasting on pie in the sky and trying to convince everyone not only how good it tastes, but how wonderfully nutritious it is too. After FORTY YEARS they are no closer to achieving a stable income for staff (which was a KEY criteria of "SH Size" according to L. Ron Hubbard). 40 years on for Steve, and THIRTY TWO YEARS since it was published he is still using the quote about "Speed of expansion is the problem of management..." (because the world is rapidly coming to an end). Wow. If this is … [Read more...]

Scientology Portland – Truthful Numbers

March 17, 2015 By Mike Rinder 109 Comments

By a Special Correspondent This image was posted by a sharp-eyed commenter over on Tony Ortega's blog. It shows a full listing of Scientology Portlands statistics for a series of weeks leading up to March 13th. Scientology goes to incredible extremes to hide the actual numbers associated with its various organizations and always publishes "graphs" that are just meaningless squiggles devoid of any dates or numbers. These two boards show Scientology Portland, Daytime Organization and their race for improved numbers to celebrate L Ron Hubbard's birthday. And well done to them indeed, you … [Read more...]

Portland “Ideal Org” Isn’t Clearing Anyone, Let Alone Portland

November 21, 2014 By Mike Rinder 96 Comments

Here is the latest scientology footbullet. People from Portland "Ideal Org" are required to travel to Sacramento to attest to Clear. Which probably also means Seattle isn't clearing anyone either, as that is closer to Portland than Sacramento. And apparently Sacramento wants the world to know their ideal neighbor to the north is merely a feeder for their "big brother" in California's capital. They don't just announce a Clear, they headline it with how he traveled from Portland. Not very considerate, showing up your fellow org as liars and failures. It's like a public Knowledge … [Read more...]

Ideal Org “Successes” A Work In Progress

August 11, 2014 By Mike Rinder 83 Comments

Apparently these "ideal" orgs don't have anyone actually completing anything to give "success stories" so they resort to getting (and publishing) "successes" from people "in progress" on services. This is the best they can come up with? A further indictment of the complete failure of the "ideal org" program and GAG II.   … [Read more...]

What’s It Really Like Inside An Ideal Org?

April 20, 2014 By Mike Rinder 149 Comments

If you listen to any of the statements that emanate from the bubble, whether from the mouth of Dear Leader himself, or other minions, they shout from the rooftops how the "ideal orgs" are "the turning point in the universe" and "the salvation of this sector" and are "bringing about planetary clearing." Of course, everyone outside the bubble knows its garbage, but it isnt often we get this sort of report from INSIDE an "ideal org." And not just ANY ideal org, but the much ballyhooed "ideal org" in the "first Scientology city" -- Portland. You will recall Dear Leader yanked their chain … [Read more...]

Crazy L. Ron Hubbard's 1980 letter to Pres. Reagan explaining his plan for a national sales tax and abolishing the IRS. It was a key theme of #scientology's war on the IRS... until they got exemption. Do today's proponents know? Full letter in blog post.

@MikeRinder just finished reading your book. I've been anti-scientology for about 30 years. Your book was so informative as to the mindset and the bullying, gaslighting etc. Every through I watched the documentaries and listened to the podcast, I found this book so much (/2)
