Another in the Sunday Redux series. This one was originally published on March 25, 2013. Scientology's "massive international expansion" has become almost a mantra of David Miscavige and his clone spokespeople (mostly lawyers these days) that send letters to the media. At least in the US it seems the spokespeople are no longer allowed to speak . This is the first in a series of articles that will examine the FACTS about this supposed “massive international expansion”. How Many Scientologists? Corporate Scientology shouts from the rooftops that there are 10 million members wor … [Read more...]
Scientology Takes Clearwater For Suckers
There has been considerable media attention to the church opposition to the Clearwater Aquarium development on the site right behind the Fort Harrison. Fox News weighed in. Then the Tampa Bay Times and then the TBT wrote an editorial. The church cites a Florida State University (FSU) study showing the economic impact they have in the local community and somehow "reason" that the Aquarium would be a bad idea. They also cite to an Urban Land Institute (ULI) study commissioned by the city to puff up their importance (as they said the city and the church should "work together") though it is a l … [Read more...]
The Ideal CLO EU
Here is the hype from scientology.org about the wondrous launch of the "future of scientology" in the "European Commonwealth." Somehow there is no mention of the size of the crowd (I wonder why?) But there is plenty of Shermanspeak hype to keep the clubbed seals clapping. Just a sample: If you happened to be in Copenhagen, Denmark the afternoon of October 25, you could have seen the future of Scientology in Europe unfold literally before your eyes. “Today we dedicate a cornerstone for Scientology in Europe and thereby lay a firm foundation from which to extend our Golden Age ev … [Read more...]
Clearwater Belongs To Us, Wogs Not Welcome
A local Special Correspondent sent this in this morning and I thought it worth reprinting. Pity the media don't REALLY analyze what is going on. The article is on MyFox Tampa Bay, headlined: “Church of Scientology expresses opposition to proposed aquarium.” Aside from the main message that the Church is opposed to plans to move the Clearwater Marine Aquarium downtown, there is this quote, “The objections to the project were coupled with a recent economic impact study conducted by Florida State University. It says the Church directly provides 4,300 jobs in the Clearwater area, with a direc … [Read more...]
On David Miscavige’s Behavior
Another in what will be an ongoing, if sporadic, series of reposting earlier important posts. I originally wrote this for Marty's blog way back in January 2010 and then republished on my blog on April 6, 2013. My perspective on things has changed a lot since then, and I would add that today, I consider David Miscavige to be even more accurately described in Martha Stout's book The Sociopath Next Door. However, this was originally written against the criteria described by L. Ron Hubbard in 1953. I still find the analysis useful, and for those who like to use the words of L. Ron Hubbard to g … [Read more...]
Scientology Top Management Video Earlier Beginning
Given the enormous interest in the video posted on Marty Rathbun's blog, I am reprinting an article that he published on October 13, 2010 on Moving On Up A Little Higher . It features Jenny Linson and Dave Bloomberg (along with a number of others), carrying out an earlier, but very similar version of their LAX attack on Mark Rathbun. (My added comments are italicized in red) Miscavige Meltdown – the Proof One of the most widely read posts on this blog was published on 24 April 2010, Miscavige Meltdown. It was Mike Rinder’s account of an ambush staged by seven Miscavige flunkies on Mike i … [Read more...]
Delusion Reigns
These people are SO unreal. Why would a "management org" in a new building be the turning point of anything? There is no contact with the public? It matters not at all whether they have old desks or new custom-built ones, concrete floors or silk persian rugs, bare light bulbs or crystal chandeliers. This is simply the "fad" of scientology. What I now call the ideal syndrome. And why no mention of the ribbon yanking being graced by the presence of Captain Miscavige? Has he reverted to He Who Must Not Be Named again? BTW -- a note for the UK contingent. Seems Dear Leader will be at SH … [Read more...]
Scientology Whale Horror Story
Yesterday, Tony Ortega had a remarkable story on his blog about Bob Duggan, the biggest whale in scientology. Now more of the details have come to light with a new story on the South African blog which exposes some of the sordid underbelly of this bizarre story. This whole affair is further proof (as if any were needed) that scientology has truly become the religion that worships money. If you have enough of it, and give it to them, you are not only lauded with phony titles and big sparkly trophies, there is apparently NOTHING that cannot be provided by the "church". Their model is … [Read more...]
Massive Expansion — Of Lies
Here is an entire page from the latest International Scientology News reporting on the wonders of the "25th Anniversary" MV Cruise for the math challenged. Dear Leader seems to have outdone himself with his presentation of big lies and small stats to "support it" -- yet the "small stats" are REALLY small, but just hyped as being "big." It is really quite bizarre how they can break down stats into "completions per hour" and make the most pathetic appear to sound big and "booming." And it seems nobody EVER does the math to see what is really being said. Everyone … [Read more...]
Why Ideal Orgs?
Any time there is a post about ideal org failures, there is a lot of speculation about "Why?" I have written various posts and comments about this from time to time, but realized I had never put it all in one place. There are two reasons for the ideal org program that go hand in hand. And it explains why, in spite of the clear failure of this program to bring about planetary clearing, or anything at all aligned with the "Aims of Scientology," it will continue to be pushed until the very end. 1. It is vital for Miscavige to hold onto his position 2. IRS concerns But before … [Read more...]
