This article is by regular commenter Bruce Ploetz. Bruce was in the SO for 25 years, at the Int Base for 19 years -- one of the few true genuises I have ever met. He is an Associate of Science in Electronics Technology. When it comes to the E-Meter, there is likely no more qualified expert on earth. Bruce is named on five patent applications for work concerning the MK VII E-Meter and Learning Accelerator and won a patent with one other for the Drills Simulator. An Electronics Technician, he worked up from that to Electronics Engineer in Silicon Valley, then Director of Research and Design for … [Read more...]
Another Big Question on Planetary Clearing
Last week I posed a question -- why doesn't scientology use some of its billions to incentivize becoming an auditor in pursuit of clearing the planet . One of our eagle-eyed readers was prompted to pose the question -- how about making the books and lectures cheaper and more accessible? Hubbard tells his followers that for every 35 books in the hands of the public it will make one scientologist. In today's world -- ALL his books and all the lectures could be put on digital media for a few dollars. They are willing to do it with Hubbards fiction as you can see below. The technology … [Read more...]
How to Slow Boil a Frog
Another provocative essay from Brian Lambert. MILESTONES (LIES) THAT BUILT MY SCIENTOLOGY PERSONALITY: HOW TO SLOW BOIL A FROG This essay seeks to remember and reveal, for myself, the building blocks (words of Ron and experiences in the group) that built my mindset whereby clearing the planet (delusion) and selling Scientology (Ron's suitcases to Luxembourg) became more important than loyalty to family, personal nurturing, acquiring life skills, loyalty to friends and getting a “wog" education. Moments when I gave my trust to Ron. Basics on the chain that creates believing. At some p … [Read more...]
Dianetics Survey
Bridge Publications is doing their best to encourage people to share their honest opinions about Dianetics on Amazon. Of course, this is a stacked deck. They ONLY send this out to scientologists. It appears they are doing a pretty good job. For Dianetics to have a 71% 5 star rating, it means that 71% of the reviews have been done by scientologists. Because regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the fundamental principles of Dianetics, there can be no doubt that it is NOT clearly written and is a tough read (assigning the difficulty in reading the book to "misunderstoods" is … [Read more...]
What If?
Another provocative article from Brian Lambert What If? Questions that reasonable and open-minded evil SPs ask WHAT IF Ron's label of Scientology criticism as evil was a conscious and deliberate strategy to dead agent ANY investigation into the truth of his life or his claims? WHAT IF Ron created the doctrine that it's our 'overts and evil intentions' behind any criticism of Ron or Scientology in order to suppress our own thinking and looking so that his false claims would not be scrutinized? If this is the case then Ron would prefer us, the Scientologist, lost in a soul destroying … [Read more...]
Deadline Earth
There are two the things needed to keep the believers believing - convincing them it's an "us against them" world and that there is urgency to the good fight - "the end of the world is nigh." This is pretty common in any fundamentalist organization. LRH was no exception. This is one of his ramblings from 1965. He published it in The Auditor. It was meant for all scientologists to read. He explains, with absolute certainty, that scientology will determine whether your "kid will ever see sixteen." Scientology certainly didn't change the world in the ensuing 16 years, and by 1981 … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard: Messiah or Hypnotic Operator?
This is an essay submitted by another of our long term commenters, Brian Lambert. Hypnotism "reduces self-determinism by interposing the commands of another below the analytical level of an individual's mind ... It is the sort of control mechanism in which an authoritarian individual, cult, or ideology delight.” L Ron Hubbard SOS p.220; see also p225 I read the Hubbard writing Altitude Instruction a few years ago for the first time since I left in 82. It hit me like a freight train, that what we are reading in Altitude Instruction IS the essence of how Ron pulled off Scientology. How he … [Read more...]
WISE Inc – Not So Wise
WISE is one of the lost step-children of the scientology hierarchy. Out there in left field, the only real value they have had is to pull a couple of dental/chiropractic consultants under their wing and then pump them to get new people using LRH tech and then onto the Bridge to collect FSM Commissions. The CO WISE WUS sends out a constant stream of useless articles about random subjects, and I have not commented on them before. But it suddenly struck me what is wrong with his pitch. Oh so very wrong. First, glance through this latest piece to get a flavor of it for … [Read more...]
The Hype for “Saint Hill Size”
This concept of St Hill size is often talked about. Here we have the CO of the Flag Ship Service Org, the most expensive failed org in the history of scientology, telling people that she is sending someone to explain to them how they are going to go Saint Hill size RIGHT NOW. Hahaha. In scientology, TALK substitutes for reality. They talk themselves into believing their own hype. That "planetary clearing is a reality" or "we are expanding like never before" or "the Golden Age of tech is flooding people up the Bridge" etc There are numerous variations of the self-affirmation technique … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard The Movie!
This should be a treat! They are making a movie about L. Ron Hubbard -- no doubt to accompany a thorough drenching in Shermanspeak for the March 13 extravaganza. And it appears that this latest hagiography is going to focus on making Mr. Hubbard "hip" (after all, scientology IS the coolest religion on earth - it says so right on the t-shirts) by associating him with Jack Kerouac and Alan Ginsberg. Whoever Ian McBean was doesn't even rate a Wiki page -- I seem to recall Hubbard talking about some guy who was a British spy in China or something who taught him all sorts of amazing things. … [Read more...]
