It's SaTerraDay... Scientology and Help The best band of all time said it best: “Help! I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody. Help! You know I need someone. Help!” Friends, family and countrymen have all failed to help us at times throughout our lives. Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters, ex-husbands and ex-wives have all shirked their duties at to help. We’ve all experienced times where we’ve asked for help, only to be rebuffed, told to scram, told to we were losers and not worth the trouble. We’ve been promised the moon, only to taste green cheese. We’ve been promised fortunes, happiness, … [Read more...]
Harvey Weinstein & Scientology – Separated at Birth?
This New Yorker article is an extremely detailed and well-documented peek behind the curtain of a dirtbag with a lot of money hiring big-name, reputable lawyers and private investigators to conduct a concerted campaign to intimidate and silence victims of and witnesses to his abuse. Scientology has been doing this for years. Decades actually. They wrote the book, literally, on this sort of intimidation tactics. Everyone else is a pretender to the throne of corrupt power abusing the less powerful with impunity. The big difference between Harvey Weinstein and scientology is the money s … [Read more...]
Education, Memory, Grains of Sand, and Scientology
It's SaTerraday. Education, Memory, Grains of Sand, and Scientology How we learn doesn’t jive with LRH’s paradigm of the human mind. Since Ron was so “stats-oriented,” let’s start with the numbers. He said we’ve all lived for quadrillions of years. By multiplying this number times all the pictures in all our memories over this period, we come up with an amount greater than the number of grains of sand on Earth. Whoa. Terra Math One quadrillion (ten to the fifteenth power, 10^15, or 1,000,000,000,000,000) times (x) one trillion memories per lifetime (completely arbitrary figure) … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard and Adolf Hitler?
One of our regular contributors, Brian, provided this comment in response to the post about scientology comparing a Hollywood Reporter writer to Goebbels. I thought it deserved a wider audience. As they say, sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander.... Well now, since we are discussing people influenced by Nazis and follow his Hitler’s philosophies — I present to you.... “But the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repea … [Read more...]

The Missing Executives of Scientology
A lot of scientologists remember Guillaume Lesevre, though the COB has done his best to ensure he is forgotten. Guillaume is the "Executive Director International" or ED Int. This is the position L. Ron Hubbard specifically created to "wear my hat" running scientology. In fact, Hubbard did an analysis of his inability to "turn over his hat" and wrote a policy about it which created this position. Guillaume has been the "ED Int" since the early 80's. I had the job of filling this position on direct orders of Hubbard and scoured the globe for the best executive -- Guillaume had … [Read more...]
Janis Gillham Grady Talks About Her New Book
I have known Janis for more than 40 years. She is someone I will always hold dear. Janis was one of my first friends on the Apollo, a fellow Australian teenager like her sister Terri, we were a small contingent. In fact, it might well have been just the 3 of us in that exclusive club. Those are the sort of relationships that never die. Janis is truly a Sea Org historian. Someone with first-hand and unique experience and a desire to record the information for everyone else to share. She graciously wrote this piece to explain a bit about her new book. I finally did it! … [Read more...]
Battlefields: Scientologists vs. Critics; Can Decency Win?
Another article from Brian Lambert. While I am so busy working on Season 2 I appreciate those who forward me relevant, on topic articles to publish. It is a day I do not have to write something myself. (Thanks especially to Regraded Being and Terra Cognita who have been stallwarts in this regard). I try not to use too many of them in a row, but I feel it is better for continuity to have something every day if possible. Though there may be days in the upcoming weeks where it just isn't possible. Battlefields: Scientologists vs. Critics; Can Decency Win? "We are hypnotized by our surroundings … [Read more...]
Let Freedom Ring from the Molehills
I cringe at the tortured prose of Sakhi Guma, trying too hard to make it seem he has some sort of talent as a poet. (Several of our better educated than me commenters pointed out that this is the text of MLKs famous "I have a dream" speech - unattributed of course and in this case the spoken word does not translate too well to the written) But I shudder at the conceit of L. Ron Hubbard. He actually said that he was here to help make sure the United States delivered the goods. Without irony. And it is repeated today by those who hang on his every word as gospel and they send it out to … [Read more...]
Scientology: A Precise and Exact Science
This is what L. Ron Hubbard wrote in the introduction to Fundamentals of Thought -- the last scientology book he published. (The cover of the first edition identifies him as L. Ron Hubbard, C.E., Ph. D - both self appointed credentials) He wrote this, but because of the claims about his "science" and himself, Hubbard attributed this as an "Editors Note." But make no mistake, these words were written by L. Ron Hubbard. And they form the introduction to his ultimate summation of the subject of scientology in book form. Though this has been edited to be more palatable and defensible in the … [Read more...]
