Happily, it's SaTerraDay once again... Scientology, Generalities, and Paranoia In HCOPL, The Anti-Social Personality, The Anti-Scientologist, L. Ron Hubbard wrote that among his twelve attributes, the Anti-Social Personality “speaks only in very broad generalities. ‘They say...’ ‘Everybody thinks...’ ‘Everybody knows...’ and such expressions are in continual use, particularly when imparting rumor. When asked ‘Who is everybody...’ it normally turns out to be one source and from this source the Anti-Social Personality has manufactured what he or she pretends is the whole opinion of the whole so … [Read more...]
L. Ron Hubbard’s Thoughts on SuMP
I was forwarded this "LRH quote" being handed out by scientology as a source of wisdom and inspiration. It did inspire me to wonder how this squares with scientology spending tens of millions of dollars to advertise on TV and even starting up their own TV station with the SuMP? Isn't scientology in direct violation of the word of Source? Aren't they, according to Him, actively participating in putting kids "in the middle of Hiroshima"? If they DON'T believe these words are true, why are they putting out something like this for all scientologists to ingest these gems handed down from … [Read more...]
Valentine Wisdom from L. Ron Hubbard
Some words of advice about "girls" from Mr. Hubbard -- the man who abandoned his first wife to bigamously marry his second only to then deny her existence and claim he was not the father of their daughter he kidnapped and took to Cuba, and finally to disown his third wife when she took the fall on his behalf to prevent him going to prison. Yep, with that stellar record, he qualifies to offer some sage words. And what is even more remarkable -- the scientologists think this is worthy of sending around to everyone because it is so brilliant (every word uttered by Hubbard is genius in their … [Read more...]

The Scientology “Debunked Conspiracy Theory” Response
Scientology sent a statement to the press about our Paul Haggis post. As with everything in scientology's PR denial closet, you have to read it closely and parse its terminology carefully. Scientology mastered the technique of "depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is" long before Bill Clinton came along. Here is the statement in the Hollywood Reporter: In a statement, the Church of Scientology responded to Remini and Rinder's letter. The Church's full response is below: Leah Remini, Paul Haggis and Mike Rinder have predictably thrown up a reprehensible smokescreen to turn … [Read more...]
Framing Whistleblowers — The Scientology Playbook
The media reports that Paul Haggis is now being accused of sexual assault. He responds that scientology may be behind these claims. There is good reason to believe this is no crazy conspiracy theory. Here is why. L. Ron Hubbard, founder of scientology, took a very dim view of anyone critical of scientology. Whether politician, reporter, disillusioned former follower or his own family members, Hubbard designated them as "enemies" -- not just of scientology, but of mankind. And he laid out in detail how those enemies were to be destroyed. Hubbard decreed that anyone speaking negatively … [Read more...]
“It works every time because it was written by LRH”
This is an amazing piece from Jeanie Franks/Bogvad's current husband. It is a distillation of how fundamentalist scientologists view the world and their role in it. First off for every good scientologist, an "LRH quote" must set the stage and prove to everyone how "On-Source" you are. It is proudly proffered, without irony, to demonstrate that one is "with the program" as a true scientologist and thus can think for themselves. This one especially picked to be used to overcome sales barriers. "I don't have any money for that auditing you say I need" is responded to with "You are just … [Read more...]
A Very Scientology Christmas Carol
A special essay from Terra Cognita for the holidays. For any unfamiliar with Dicken's "A Christmas Carol" I include a synopsis from Wikipedia at the end of this post. A Very Scientology Christmas Carol David Miscavige would make the perfect Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dicken’s, A Christmas Carol. L.Ron Hubbard would of course play the part of Jacob Marley, his deceased business partner who comes back to haunt him. I cast Mike Rinder to play the Ghost of Christmas Past; Tony Ortega to play the Ghost of Christmas Present; and Leah Remini to play Ms. Christmas Yet to Be. A sl … [Read more...]
Gabe Cazares and Hubbard Policy
Tony Ortega has a must-read article on his blog this morning. Researcher R. M. Seibert obtained Freedom of Information Act documents from the FBI about the "ops" (the scientology term -- short for operations -- to describe campaigns against enemies) against former Clearwater Mayor Gabe Cazares. The stories about what was done to Cazares are horrifying. But it's also worth noting the underlying POLICY of scientology that resulted in these actions against enemies of scientology. It is often claimed (and I did it myself for many years) that the Guardian's Office were "rogue operatives" … [Read more...]
Being Theetie-Weetie in Scientology
It's SaTerraDay once again folks! Being Theetie-Weetie in Scientology Theetie-Weetie is one of the many negative terms Scientology use to label a person. Such people appear bubbly and upbeat, happy and cheerful, and without a care in the world. Behind the façade, though, is a person scared of life. Ron Hubbard defined Theetie-Weetie as: 1. Slang from England, meaning “sweetness and light” (but they can’t face mest or any outness. Cannot go deeper into the bank than a thought. (LRH Def Notes) 2. He operates in a totally psychotic way while being totally serene. The valence is all the way up a … [Read more...]
