I wanted my family to be Patrons of the IAS, to support the only religion that is really changing and bettering conditions for mankind planet-wide. I became inspired because it would mean that we would become guardians of our religion and, more broadly, for every being on this planet. Since our original postulate to become Patrons of the IAS, we have been working towards the status by making regular donations and it was a huge win for us when we recently achieved our Patron. Since then, every member of my family has become more active in Scientology. We are all moving on the … [Read more...]
The IAS Keeps on Lying
The IAS are renowned for their BS, but this one is a doozie. They "approved a grant" but they didn't spend it because they don't have any photos of anyone on the scene. Just a generic shot from the media of a flooded location. So, to give them the benefit of the doubt, I checked out their Twitter feed. A bunch of shots of the same 7 people, literally one after the other. This is the "team" for the displaced 500,000 people: For the largest private relief force on earth, 10 likes on their Twitter feed is a bit slim. Obviously they have not allocated funds to clickfarms for the VM … [Read more...]
Where is the IAS?
So, the IAS constantly claims that donations made to it "support our 4th dynamic initiatives" -- very much including the Foundation for a Drug Free World. The IAS takes credit for the "accomplishments" of the DFW if there is ever anything to be crowed about. Recently the IAS proudly announced the "distribution" of half a million booklets at the Super Bowl. They routinely claim they are literally saving the world and eradicating the scourges of drugs, crime, immorality and illiteracy. This is asking for $50,000. Assuming the IAS has accumulated $1.5 billion by now (it was more than a … [Read more...]
IAS Freedom Medal Winners
Every year since 1985 David Miscavige has handed out "IAS Freedom Medals" to 3 (there were a couple of early years with 4) lucky winners. These people supposedly represent the elite of the elite of the scientology world -- those who are doing the most to forward the aims of scientology. Of course, as with everything else in scientology, what you see is not exactly reality. I recently came across this photo of "COB" with a collection of IAS Freedom Medal winners. This was for the great event that was held at Flag in 2013 to coincide with the opening of the Super Power building and … [Read more...]
IAS Money Grubbers
This is a new list of IAS "Field Disseminators" -- which translates into non-Sea Org fundraisers or "registrars" as they are called in scientology. There are some interesting names on here. From the scientologists who own companies that employ other scientologists (like Bridgeforth and Cummins) to the IAS "Freedom Medal Winners" who are then sent out to tour the world to reg for the IAS. Those are circled in red -- and I may have missed a few as the names are no longer all familiar to me. These are the people that are making the highest amount of commission from the IAS. They are … [Read more...]
IAS Lies Exposed, Again
Here is the hype from the IAS: So, you see, the IAS takes credit for this program "reaching over 200 million people per year." They make a big show of "sponsoring the distribution of 500,000 booklets at the Super Bowl". But this is a lie. The number of people distributing the booklets, according to their photo, was about 25 (that is all they could muster in a city with an "ideal" org??) - including children. That is 20,000 booklets per person. Even someone with Super Powers or who was complete cause over life from running around a pole couldn't manage that. This is also how they come … [Read more...]
The IAS is Shrinking
Here is a truth you can always rely upon. Nothing in scientology is free. They give NOTHING away, unless it is some sort of loss leader to put you within striking distance of a reg to get more money from you. Thus the "Free Personality Test," "Free Introductory Lecture" and "Free Film." But once you are done with them, you PAY. No more free services -- because that would violate Hubbard Policy. Also part of the bait before the switch is the Free 6 month membership to the IAS. And when it comes to "nothing is for free" the IAS makes scientology org regges look positively warm and … [Read more...]
The Legends of Our Religion
This new propaganda piece raises an important question. Where ARE those "legends of scientology"? It is true that many of the "leading lights" of scientology at the time signed this pledge. Though the real story of the IAS is a very different one than the revised history scientology tries to make it out to be. This "pledge signing" was merely a PR stunt -- the IAS had been formed by a Danish lawyer as a means of keeping money outside the purview of the IRS. It was a "bright idea" to form an "association" which was a uniquely European thing and to divert all funds from orgs outside the US … [Read more...]
The NOI is on the IAS Commission Trail
Following in the hallowed footsteps of Michael Roberts, Jeff Pomerantz and Andrik Schaapers, Tony Muhammad has hit the IAS fundraising circuit. What could possibly motivate the West Coast Leader of the NOI to devote his time to promoting scientology and not his own religion? Can anyone imagine Vicki Shantz, the West Coast region head of scientology (CO CLO WUS), on a tour of NOI mosques promoting their good works? She would be in the RPF or declared a Suppressive Person in the blink of an eye. Of course, the NOI doesn’t pay commissions. And of course they don’t let white people into … [Read more...]
“Astonishing Accomplishments” at “Magnificent” IAS Weekend
Scientology is patting itself on the back following the 34th annual IAS event. A few morsels of mulleted magnificence to set the scene -- and this was just the preamble to get to the actual avent: East Grinstead appears as if from a storybook, a medieval marketplace... ...blissfully tranquil ...wave upon wave of attendees, their anticipation abounding. ...the crunch of stone and gravel below boots and high heels echoed down the drive, dusk turned to night and an evening of wonder was now poised to begin. It was the typical stream of adjectival excess that sprang forth in the strange … [Read more...]
