Thursday Funnies

April 27, 2023 By Mike Rinder 15 Comments

Orders of Magnitude! OMG 50 in 6 weeks. With every level counting as 1 (so someone completing OT 1 and II counts as 2), this represents about 25 people (being charitable)... Or about 250 people moved up the Bridge to OT in a year. And most of them are not even South Africans, they come from all over to take advantage of the cheap prices. Africa will be OT... Never.     Marketing Genius. Entrepreneur [sic] Giant... If these people are SO good, how come scientology is failing SO badly?   Graduation? Has nothing to do with … [Read more...]

Family Interventions and Deprogrammings

May 23, 2022 By Mike Rinder 16 Comments

Here's an interesting article from Narconon, pushing the virtues of interventions. This is how they describe what an intervention is: Family intervention is a common approach used because it provides the right nudge toward treatment. Family interventions work, but it is difficult to predict how the intervention could unfold. Certified family intervention specialists have the training to prepare a family for what to expect.  Most family interventions use pressure to encourage an addict to admit to their problem and seek treatment. A group of close friends and family come … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

December 23, 2021 By Mike Rinder 45 Comments

Graduation Cocktail Hour? They've taken it a step beyond food in Australia...   You can do the Purif here! Only at Flag, Freewinds, possibly the SO Orgs and Narconon. No Class V orgs or Missions. Because we said so.   Good News! "In celebration of the New Year, the Christmas season production bonuses and prizes are hereby extended for three weeks: December 23 and December 30, 2021 and December 6, 2022. International Director of Finance" I guess they didn't make enough cash to pay any bonuses, so "Christmas bonuses" are going to become … [Read more...]

Narconon Goes After Country Music

November 17, 2021 By Mike Rinder 48 Comments

Scientology and its front organizations (like Narconon and CCHR) live in a world disconnected from reality. They seem oblivious to the absurdity of things they say and positions they take. Narconon is now beginning to sound like prohibitionists, targeting county music for "romanticizing alcohol." Unfortunately, while contemporary country music stars continue to produce great music year after year, there are increasing incidences of romanticizing alcohol in country music lyrics, romanticizing it, glamorizing it, or even construing alcohol with happy times, carefree adventures, and … [Read more...]

Episode 64 : Tory “Magoo” Christman

November 1, 2021 By Mike Rinder 35 Comments

One of the long term scientology whistleblowers joins us this week, Tory "Magoo" Christman. Her story covers the gamut -- OSA dirty tricks, disconnection, the Lisa McPherson Trust, being Fair Gamed and a whole lot more. It is one of those episodes that might have continued for many hours. She is such a bright, smart and kind person, especially in light of all she has been through. Such a wonderful lady, we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Tory is all over social media. Follow her and connect: Tory on Facebook Tory on Twitter Tory on Instagram Tory's YouTube … [Read more...]

“Secular” Scientology

March 10, 2021 By Mike Rinder 43 Comments

Scientology seeks to infiltrate various parts of society with "LRH Tech," What is sincerely held "religious belief" and "scripture" inside scientology, is transformed into "secular", commercial "technology" in the scientology front groups. Hubbard insisted these organizations -- like Narconon -- be "secular" for one reason. To be able to get grants from the government. Due to the First Amendment, the government is restricted from funding religious organizations. There are PLENTY of religious based drug rehabs, education programs and others. But Hubbard, the staunch opponent … [Read more...]

Narconon’s Troubles Are Not Over

February 6, 2021 By Mike Rinder 38 Comments

Watch this new (less than 30 minute) video with Aaron Smith Levin and Luke Catton discussing the current problems of Narconon. Since the passage of the "Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act" in 2018, it is illegal to pay commissions for referrals to drug rehab programs. This Kickbacks in Recovery Act now makes FSM Commission for the Narconon program a federal crime. Scientology policies around Field Staff Members (FSMs), where people are paid commissions for referring others to Scientology organizations, was one of the major catalysts for Narconon's growth in the United States. It wasn't … [Read more...]

Episode 15: Former President of Narconon Luke Catton

November 2, 2020 By Mike Rinder 59 Comments

We welcome an old friend of mine, Lucas (Luke) Catton to the Fair Game podcast this week. Luke was a very prominent member of the Narconon team for a number of years, until he saw the light about scientology. He subsequently spoke out and was targeted by scientology in response. We discuss a wide range of things relating to Narconon, scientology's involvement, the effectiveness of the program and the Fair Gaming Luke has been subjected to. I will include the link as soon as it becomes available. A few of the things we mention during our talk. Here is a copy of the public image.doc … [Read more...]

Scientology Front Group v. Scientology Front Group

June 9, 2020 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

There are a LOT of contradictions in scientology. Many of them in the words of Hubbard, usually in an effort to explain why some of his "tech" didn't produce results. But there are a lot of other contradictions that stem from efforts to either make money, or create "good PR." There are plenty of examples, for example, scientology says they are not homophobic, but subscribe to the writings of Hubbard that says homosexuals are 1.1 and all the evil that flows from that. But here we have something that came across my inbox purely coincidentally. A promotional item from Narconon laying out … [Read more...]

January 23, 2020 By Mike Rinder 44 Comments

One of these 3 didn't get the message Arms folded is the only way to go. All of them missed the memo about not smiling.   Narconon not flourishing They are disappearing from the face of the earth....   We finally made 2 Clears We have to tell the world with a special promotional item because it's such a rare thing...   Like really rare... So we made ANOTHER poster for the same person.   The St Lucia Sickle Cell Association hasn't done their homework... Or they are just really hard up for a place to show a … [Read more...]
