It’s ironic that Scientology tries to portray itself as fighting against human trafficking when they operate an international human trafficking enterprise. It is one of those things they do so often — present a face to the world that portrays the exact opposite of what they really are in order to deflect attention from their activities -- as in "how could a child abuser run a campaign against child abuse?" They say they’re about the spirit and not materialism. They assert they are pro-family. They proclaim they agree with Christianity. The greatest virtue is to love one’s enemies. The list … [Read more...]
Always Be Inflitrating Part 2
Another example of scientology front groups at work, infiltrating organizations and then putting out press statements that announce their involvement in big, bold letters, and associate themselves with legitimate groups and organizations. This is the headline from their latest press release, date 6 May 2023. See Part 1 here. The Los Angeles Police Department and the Church of Scientology win the National Faith and Blue Weekend contest, illustrating how much can be accomplished when law enforcement and the community work together Of course, curious about this award, I … [Read more...]
Always Be Infiltrating
The second motto of scientology after Always Be Closing (from the wonderful movie Glengarry Glen Ross -- the clip is at the end of the post below) is Always Be Infiltrating. Of course, money comes first in scientology. But a close second is "PR area control" -- infiltrating legitimate organizations to gain undeserved credibility for themselves. Often they create some sort of relationship with someone from an organization who is clueless as to who they are teaming up with as the person who reaches out to them represents an organization that has no obvious connections to scientology. "Youth … [Read more...]
The OSA US Phone Book
This is the "contact" page of the "Churches of Scientology Disaster Response" website. For the most part, these people are the heads of the Office of Special Affairs in most of these places. It gives their email and phone numbers. It's pretty much an OSA Phone book for the United States. … [Read more...]
The Flat Tax — Republicans Reviving the Scientology Campaign to Abolish the IRS
It's in the news that the Republicans in Congress are seeking to implement a flat sales tax and essentially do away with the need for the IRS. Just one recent article can be found here. This story includes the following paragraph: One thing that became clear very quickly: McCarthy’s desperation to have the title of House speaker meant more to him than having any convictions. An example of his clear powerlessness in whatever deals he agreed to were reports that he would bring a ludicrous tax proposal for a vote on the House floor. It’s the Fair Tax Act, a deal first … [Read more...]
Non-Religious Moral Code??
You can bet that if someone reaches out to the "Chair of the City Council's Administration Environment and Public Safety Committee" he or did not think they were presenting an award to "Scientology" but to the Way to Happiness Foundation "non-religious" front group. No sooner had they gotten this award than "the church of scientology" put out a press release that is all about how the city of Columbus supports scientology, while also pitching scientology TV and tossing in some ass-kissing for Mr. Mickiewicz. Calling Stefani Hutchison. … [Read more...]
Safepointing in Mauritius
mm I hope someone gets the word to the Yeshua Fellowship Organization that they are being taken advantage of. You can bet they have no clue that these policemen carrying a banner in a march is "all in the name of clearing our continent!" They have NO IDEA scientology is involved in this at all. Yet the "Advanced Org" in Johannesburg is claiming this as a "major accomplishment." If Miscavige was holding international events, this would be being touted as "full acceptance of LRH tech by law enforcement of an entire African nation" or some such … [Read more...]
Super Bowl BS
Unfortunately, it's that time of year again. Each Super Bowl, Scientology does their best to litter the parking lot with fliers people have been handed out and just as quickly thrown away. Usually it is these "Drug Free World Booklets" and also Way To Happiness. And you know neither of them make mention of scientology. There is absolutely NO evidence at all that handing out their booklets "results in less crime and less drug use." These fools really believe that a pamphlet is going to stop a criminal from committing a crime or anyone from using drugs? The only PROVEN result of … [Read more...]
Human Rights Suckers
Unfortunately PT Barnum's old quote is proven true when it comes to scientology front groups managing to sucker "allies" into affording them some legitimacy. The people who lend their names, often unwittingly, to supporting scientology front groups are either very badly informed, extremely foolish, or less credible than the front group they are supporting. In this case, it's scientology's "Human Rights" front. It is certainly ironic that scientology promotes itself as champions of human rights, and even call those who give them the most money "humanitarians." They cloak themselves in this … [Read more...]
Narconon Goes After Country Music
Scientology and its front organizations (like Narconon and CCHR) live in a world disconnected from reality. They seem oblivious to the absurdity of things they say and positions they take. Narconon is now beginning to sound like prohibitionists, targeting county music for "romanticizing alcohol." Unfortunately, while contemporary country music stars continue to produce great music year after year, there are increasing incidences of romanticizing alcohol in country music lyrics, romanticizing it, glamorizing it, or even construing alcohol with happy times, carefree adventures, and … [Read more...]
