Where is the Largest Private Relief Force on Earth?

October 2, 2022 By Mike Rinder 24 Comments

Hurricane Ian has devastated a huge swath of Florida, a swath that includes Flag and the "ideal" orgs in Tampa and Orlando. Where is the "Largest Private Relief Force on Earth?" There are more scientologists in Clearwater/Tampa Bay than anywhere on earth according to scientology. 14,000 of them if you take them at their word (other times they have said 12,000 or 10,000, it's probably more like 5,000 total staff and public). They even have a dedicated building along the Potemkin Village row on N. Ft Harrison in Clearwater:   You know if they WERE doing something, they … [Read more...]

FEMA Beware

August 23, 2022 By Mike Rinder 19 Comments

Pictured above is a recent Scientology press release... Typical of scientology, they are trying to position themselves once again with the Red Cross, Salvation Army and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). This is a very important thing in the scientology world -- "gaining acceptance" and "creating allies" who legitimize the organization. They hope these people will throw them some bones and recognize them in some way which they will then use when their abuses are exposed. "Look at all our good works, we could not possibly be abusing people. See, we are … [Read more...]

Hawking Hubbard’s Baby Formula

May 17, 2022 By Mike Rinder 35 Comments

Typical scientology. There is a situation in the US with a shortage of infant formula. An opportunity to move in with some Hubbard "tech" -- the "barley formula." I hope nobody falls for this.  Hubbard claims it is a formula used by the Romans 2200 years ago -- that "barley sustained the Roman legions" and that this concoction, featuring a liberal dose of Karo syrup (cornstarch syrup) and cow's milk is better than breast milk and commercial baby formula. Here is the page giving the ingredients and method of preparation from the Scientology Handbook.   Like much of the … [Read more...]

Making Clearwater A Scientology “Ideal City”

March 9, 2022 By Mike Rinder 32 Comments

If anyone in the Clearwater community does not believe scientology is determined to own their city, let this be another warning. This woman apparently doesn't have enough to do in Venezuela (everything is going along so well there) so she is in Clearwater delivering seminars (in Spanish ?) "in alignment with our purpose of making Clearwater an ideal city." For those  who don't know,  "ideal" in scientology means "fully in accordance with the dictates of L. Ron Hubbard." Scientologists are learning and "drilling" to infiltrate the community. They are proud of this effort and want every … [Read more...]

Is Leigh Dundas Pulling a Scam for Scientology?

March 2, 2022 By Mike Rinder 36 Comments

After the revelation that 2 OT 7 scientologists were arrested for their participation in the June 6 insurrection, we were sent a video clip reportedly taken (and narrated) by wackjob "human rights attorney" Leigh Dundas (who seems to have returned from hiding out in Mexico following her participation in the January 6th insurrection). She was apparently helping to organize the "People's Convoy" in Adelanto California (not a very glamorous spot for a sendoff I must say). For some reason, a bunch of the people in this video are wearing yellow t-shirts... A coincidence? I doubt it. I suspect … [Read more...]

VM’s Swing Into Action

December 29, 2021 By Mike Rinder 14 Comments

Once again, the "largest private relief force on earth" has swung into fundraising and photo op action following the deadly tornados in Kentucky. As you can see, the ideal orgs in Nashville, Cincinnati (actually located across the river in Kentucky) and Columbus poured thousands, hundreds, tens of a few people into the relief effort a week or so after the event. They never said they are fast, just the biggest.     Actually, the ideal orgs in the region, despite having yellow vans, are not the ones coordinating the effort, it's being handled out of Los … [Read more...]

Celebrity Center: Nothing Can Be Done About It

June 2, 2021 By Mike Rinder 73 Comments

Anyone who has visited Los Angeles in the last decade knows there is a homeless problem. Apparently since COVID it has gotten even worse. A lot of homeless people have come from colder states where winter can be a literal death sentence for a homeless person. It might get chilly in Southern California, but never deathly cold. A lot of homeless people have moved to the LA area, and you see them everywhere. Below is a fairly typical sight on a freeway overpass. This one happens to be on North Bronson Ave. Here is a shot a few yards further north on Bronson. You can now see on the … [Read more...]

The House of Cards is Collapsing

November 11, 2020 By Mike Rinder 111 Comments

"Freedom" magazine recently put out this tweet:   Curious (?), I clicked on the link. This is what it takes you to -- an article reporting on their supposed accomplishments in 2017!   For the "largest private relief force on earth" it is just a little strange that they have nothing to report about for 3 years? No disasters in the intervening period is not the reason -- remember the wildfires in California? The Hurricanes in Louisiana? Just this year.... The real reason for no update is no action. This is a reflection of the fact there are no international … [Read more...]

How You Can Help End The Pandemic

June 6, 2020 By Mike Rinder 45 Comments

Take a wild guess what the answer to this question is: "How you can help end the pandemic?" If you guessed "Give us your money" you just won yourself a one year free subscription to Impact magazine. If you guessed "Hand out our propaganda booklets" you won a one year free subscription to Freedom magazine. And if you answered both you win the Grand Prize -- a commendation for your file. They have 160,000 booklets they still need to distribute. Some in-house printing facility (Bridge or the Central Promo Center or something) has gotten their stats up selling these things at a profit to the … [Read more...]

Disaster Capitalism Double Whammy

April 28, 2020 By Mike Rinder 15 Comments

While the IAS is soliciting money for "VM campaigns" and "COVID-19 relief", the VM's are sending out their own pitch to collect hygiene items.  Makes you wonder what the IAS money is for? This flier is pretty bizarre. They have taken an old flier from a hurricane relief drive and repurposed it for their "Pandemic" relief by including toilet paper in the list of donations requested. Note it is still copyrighted 2019. I wonder what "travel size" toilet paper is?       … [Read more...]
