This "Exciting new releases" announcement showed up. First, there is absolutely NOTHING new in the realm of "Study Tech" -- it is the same stuff Hubbard announced in the 6o's and 70's. Nothing has been added. Someone has repackaged the same old same old and is now presenting it as "exciting" and "new"... Applied Scholastics (the home of Hana and Rizza Islam -- who are still appearing all over their website despite the fact that they are proceeding to trial in their case of defrauding the government with a scam using "Applied Scholastics" as a front) is apparently trying to distance … [Read more...]
Scientology School of Lies
Today HuffPo ran an interesting article: Within the article is this: Karin Pouw, a spokeswoman for the Church of Scientology, told HuffPost in an email that while the church “and its members have proudly supported Applied Scholastics in numerous ways through the years ... Applied Scholastics is not part of the Church of Scientology or any other religious organization.” ... Concerning the institutions that use Applied Scholastics, Pouw wrote that “the Church of Scientology has no relationship with these schools.” Of course, this is a lie. Scientology takes FULL CREDIT for everything … [Read more...]
Scientology Lies — New Years’ Edition
Finally had a few minutes to peruse the latest International Scientology News recounting the epic, milestone New Years event. As usual, it is filled with hype, smoke, mirrors and lies. Just a few of the most glaring: This page is the "overview" of the magnificent accomplishments of 2016: 37 million "walked through our doors"? That is a ridiculous number. But let's take it at face value. Scientology claims "more than" 10,000 scientology "orgs, missions and associated groups" -- this means 3700 people each per YEAR. Or 10 per day. An average of 10 people per day darken … [Read more...]
Vulture Culture Trickle Down
The Vulture Culture is spreading its wings and trickling down to the lowest levels of the hierarchy. "Give us your money and we will bestow a corny status on you" is the flavor of the month. Even getting a grant is ground for begging for money.... Boris Levitsky? Returned from the grave? Dear Scientologist: CCHR OC recently received a grant from Google in the amount of $10,000 per month worth of Pay Per Click Advertising to be used in our Orange County anti-psych campaigns. This Grant will go a long way in helping Orange County residents … [Read more...]
Scientology Introversion
This is an article sent in by one of our intrepid Special Correspondents. I felt it worthy of its own posting as it highlights some important points. I recently read an article on Yahoo News about a self made billionaire who has established a philanthropic foundation with 4 billion dollars that he will use to fund criminal reform, education and moral standards. He is not going to do conventional charitable contributions. He has established a highly qualified team to locate workable programs and technologies that will effectively make a change in some of the worst societal ills. … [Read more...]
Applied Scholastics International Headquarters Becomes a Nation of Islam "Singles Retreat" Named "Camp Kiswah"
Though this document is from 2012, it is worth sharing. I have never seen it before and I doubt many others have either. It was attached to a comment by Rick Mycroft but I felt it too important to simply be a comment. Thanks for providing this Rick. This Nation Of Islam Singles Retreat was held at Applied Scholastics International Campus in Spanish Lake, Missouri. Apparently renamed for the NOI "Camp Kiswah," this promotional item makes NO mention of Scientology, let alone Applied Scholastics. The only way to be certain that it is in fact Spanish … [Read more...]
IAS Applied Scholastics Programs — Fact Check
This is the first in a series of postings, fact checking claims made by Corporate Scientology. There will be more. The Original "Fact Checker" (see Freedom Magazine 2009) Mike Rinder The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Part One - Salvaging Education by Natasha Boris The International Association of Scientologists makes several claims on its website. This series is about investigating the truth behind those statements. First, it should be noted that there is very little reference to L. Ron Hubbard on the homepage. There are … [Read more...]
