Thursday Funnies on Saturday

August 13, 2022 By Mike Rinder 27 Comments

As I put the podcast announcement on the blog on Thursday, The Funnies took a back seat. Here they are, in all their glory...   6th Anniversary of futility They've brought in 2 NSO professional FSMs to host their Sea Org Org anniversary. Home utterly pathetic.     Applied Scholastics Open House Hosted at LA Org. Though this is a completely "secular" activity. Wink wink.   Good luck with that This program has already had trainees on it for a year and they haven't even sent their people to START!   Class … [Read more...]

Hall of Fame? An an "extraordinary" briefing on GAK Extension courses. Nothing about actual graduates.   Woohoo! Our files are current.  Or they were last week. They're probably backlogged again already. The most sophisticated administrative system in the universe....   Get Virtually Briefed... By a registrar! Haha   LRH Birthday Celebrated at graduation? Oh dear. What a downgrade.   A Must See Event! Your money will magically disappear....   All Ideal USA Can you imagine how incredible it will be?\ The USA will be … [Read more...]

Phoenix Rising in Albuquerque They should probably pay more attention to the dead phoenix in Phoenix where the ideal org is a morgue. The Chan Man is going to make their postulates stick -- just watch, Phoenix and Albuquerque will be booming soon.   Your Defining Moment? Another one of these seminars that every org needs. Funny how they offer up advice to everyone on how to expand, but can't seem to do so themselves.... Again with the advice... If he was so good making his postulates stick don't you think CC would have at least one new major celebrity in the … [Read more...]

The Fun is Back! Until the regges show up.   It's Magical That's a good word for it... And it beats chanting every day for 12 years to not become a pig or a stone....     "Special" Commendations All you have to do is send in an Extension Course for 7 weeks in a row. Come in to the org and get a VERY Special Commendation. What a prize! You have to wonder if any scientology org has ever given out a "normal" Commendation.   It's a Festival Bet anyone that shows up on L. Ron Hubbard Way that day is a scientologist -- and a large … [Read more...]

Episode 61: Julian Wain and the Delphian School

October 11, 2021 By Mike Rinder 53 Comments

We welcome back Julian Wain, who appeared with his wife Katherine in Episode 49. This time we talk about the Delphian schools -- Julian both attended and taught there. These are indoctrination schools for scientology, and recruitment pools for the Sea Org, despite the claims they make publicly.   Episode 49:   The scientology.org website: This is the landing page of the website, listing Applied Scholastics.   Here is the Applied Scholastics page and the PR line they use.   This is from the FAQ page of the Delphian Academy … [Read more...]

The Children Sacrificed to Scientology

July 1, 2021 By Mike Rinder 44 Comments

It is sadly true that many children raised in scientology families, especially those that attend "Study Tech" schools, have a pre-ordained future in the Sea Org. While scientology and Applied Scholastics claim they are NOT scientology, and certainly are NOT Sea Org recruitment pools -- sometimes the truth leaks out. Here they are, thinking they are safe inside a scientologists only FB group, telling it like it is: Their "product" is a graduate who joins the Sea Org.   And here is a parent laying out her "win" that she "made the decision that I was raising Sea Org members. … [Read more...]

“Secular” Scientology

March 10, 2021 By Mike Rinder 43 Comments

Scientology seeks to infiltrate various parts of society with "LRH Tech," What is sincerely held "religious belief" and "scripture" inside scientology, is transformed into "secular", commercial "technology" in the scientology front groups. Hubbard insisted these organizations -- like Narconon -- be "secular" for one reason. To be able to get grants from the government. Due to the First Amendment, the government is restricted from funding religious organizations. There are PLENTY of religious based drug rehabs, education programs and others. But Hubbard, the staunch opponent … [Read more...]

“New” Tech

November 3, 2019 By Mike Rinder 27 Comments

This "Exciting new releases" announcement showed up. First, there is absolutely NOTHING new in the realm of "Study Tech" -- it is the same stuff Hubbard announced in the 6o's and 70's.  Nothing has been added. Someone has repackaged the same old same old and is now presenting it as "exciting" and "new"... Applied Scholastics (the home of Hana and Rizza Islam -- who are still appearing all over their website despite the fact that they are proceeding to trial in their case of defrauding the government with a scam using "Applied Scholastics" as a front) is apparently trying to distance … [Read more...]

Scientology School of Lies

December 11, 2017 By Mike Rinder 42 Comments

Today HuffPo ran an interesting article: Within the article is this: Karin Pouw, a spokeswoman for the Church of Scientology, told HuffPost in an email that while the church “and its members have proudly supported Applied Scholastics in numerous ways through the years ... Applied Scholastics is not part of the Church of Scientology or any other religious organization.” ... Concerning the institutions that use Applied Scholastics, Pouw wrote that “the Church of Scientology has no relationship with these schools.” Of course, this is a lie. Scientology takes FULL CREDIT for everything … [Read more...]

Scientology Lies — New Years’ Edition

January 28, 2017 By Mike Rinder 108 Comments

Finally had a few minutes to peruse the latest International Scientology News recounting the epic, milestone New Years event. As usual, it is filled with hype, smoke, mirrors and lies. Just a few of the most glaring: This page is the "overview" of the magnificent accomplishments of 2016: 37 million "walked through our doors"? That is a ridiculous number. But let's take it at face value. Scientology claims "more than" 10,000 scientology "orgs, missions and associated groups" -- this means 3700 people each per YEAR. Or 10 per day. An average of 10 people per day darken … [Read more...]
