Not Santa Barbara Ideal Org
The new "ideal org" that is no longer in Santa Barbara (they'll just have to without an org now) has the welcoming appeal of the Death Star or Tower of Mordor. A couple of our faithful readers recently drove by to check it out. Right alongside the freeway in Ventura, it is hardly an "ideal" location (the current org is right in downtown Santa Barbara). Here is the hype from the IAS: So, you see, the IAS takes credit for this program "reaching over 200 million people per year." They make a big show of "sponsoring the distribution of 500,000 booklets at the Super Bowl". But this is a lie. The number of people distributing the booklets, according to their photo, was about 25 (that is all they could muster in a city with an "ideal" org??) - including children. Many of you may have seen Aaron Smith-Levin's video posted on Tony Ortega's blog yesterday. If you missed it, here it is again: In response to the video a large number of people contacted The Foundation offering their assistance and making donations. Scientology Missions: Going, Going, Gone…
Since 1982, when Hubbard wrote that directive, the number of missions in scientology has been steadily DECREASING. In 1982 there were about 150 orgs -- the same number as today (despite the "massive international expansion"). I have commented on this a number of times. Yet, at no time in scientology history has there ever been anything CLOSE to 1500 missions (10 per org). Today there are less than 400 with a large percentage of them nowhere near an org -- off in the wilds of central and eastern Russia and other former soviet bloc countries.
