Thursday Funnies

February 26, 2015 By Mike Rinder 110 Comments

Not Funny: Very Good News Allen Barton announced yesterday that his play, DISCONNECTION has been extended to March 29 - fifteen more performances. Encourage everyone you know to attend, everyone who has seen it RAVES about how good it is.   Frisco Files Another "ideal org" that doesnt seem able to do their filing. Nothing the kids like more than to spend a day "filing." Rumor has it Disney is looking to buy ideal orgs to turn them into children's entertainment centers as they generate a never ending supply of filling. Not sure if this is any better? Filing while watching a … [Read more...]

Fred Haseney

January 12, 2015 By Mike Rinder 97 Comments

Declaration of Independence By Fred Haseney January 10, 2015 On January 27, 1986, I attended the event at the Hollywood Palladium, in Los Angeles, California, in which David Miscavige announced the death of L. Ron Hubbard (“LRH”). By the end of the evening's proceedings, I knew that I would never, ever attend another event sponsored by the Church of Scientology. I can't say exactly why, but I knew that as I exited the Palladium's doors that that would be the last Scientology event for me.This "Declaration of Independence" is being prepared in such a way so that the Ethics Officer (“EO”) … [Read more...]

Ronit And Yossi Charny Speak Out

June 27, 2014 By Mike Rinder 228 Comments

For readers of this blog who have decided scientology is not for them, this posting will be of no or very limited interest. But for those who still consider themselves scientologists, those who are still "on the fence" or "under the radar" this is information that is absolutely for you. It is FACTS about what goes on inside the church of scientology under the guise of "bringing spiritual freedom" and "uniting families." Ronit and Yossi sent this message out to all their contacts yesterday. I have waited to publish this until after they sent it out in the hope it might reach more of the … [Read more...]

The OSA Stooges Latest Footbullet

May 14, 2014 By Mike Rinder 56 Comments

Take a look at the posting on the African blog here. Clumsy would  be a kind description of the buffoonery. These fools make the Three Stooges look like James Bond. Here are my thoughts (because I am featured in their footbullet). 1. The South African blog has become a major headache for the church. They probably have more readers than the church has active members. They don't know what to do about it. 2. So they try to position the blog with the thing the public hates the most. Asking for money. Oh, the irony.... 3. If they really DID send out this idiocy to their public then … [Read more...]

Ian Lee Rocks

February 22, 2014 By Mike Rinder 19 Comments

Just a bit of fun for Saturday. Ian Lee, who has written two posts here, performed in St Petersburg with his band (Led Zeppelin II) last night. He is the perfect example of someone living life large after departing from the RCS. And he is a mighty impressive drummer who does the memory of John Bonham proud, even rocking his most famous solo on Moby Dick. The little clip just gives a glimpse. Seeing the show is thoroughly entertaining, especially if you are a Led Zeppelin fan (and if not, you will probably become one, it is a reminder of the enormous number of incredible songs they wrote and … [Read more...]

Cindy Temps

January 31, 2014 By Mike Rinder 177 Comments

A message from a veteran Los Angeles Scientologist who was recently "declared" resulting in her children disconnecting from her. She is speaking out in the hope that it opens the eyes of others and helps bring the abuses of the RCS to an end.     "It is necessary to happiness of man, that he be mentally faithful to himself. Infidelity does not consist in believing, or in disbelieving; it consists of professing to believe what he does not believe." Thomas Paine     I have been under the radar for too long now. I will not compromise my integrity any longer. It is important for Independent … [Read more...]

An Open Letter to David Miscavige

December 21, 2013 By Mike Rinder 82 Comments

Penned by my good friend Dan Koon, one of the nicest people I know.  Dan also possesses a wry and dry sense of humor.  He said this is the 10 year anniversary of EPing the Highway 79 Rundown, "one of the best rundowns I ever did. It has given me lasting gains." Hi Dave, It has been 10 years to the day that I pedaled through the mechanical gate at the Kirby Apartments, biked through Hemet and routed myself out of the Sea Organization. Today I am reminded of a line in HCOB 31 Dec 59R, rev. 9 Feb 89, BLOW-OFFS (which, incidentally, I found more easily on the Internet than I could have found … [Read more...]

Ryan Hogarth Steps Forward

December 9, 2013 By Mike Rinder 97 Comments

The disintegration of the Radical Church in South Africa is rolling forward at a rapid clip. The Sea Org Missionaires sent to try and regain control of the train that left the station are doing their best imitation of kamikaze pilots as they head straight down and vertical in a spectacular suicide mission. Not only did they arrive with a bang and declare 18 prominent OTs and field Opinion Leaders (including the biggest supporters of the Ideal Orgs in South Africa) they are now conducting a witch hunt "Comm Ev" that is soliciting rumors and "declaring" the next round of those who are not in … [Read more...]

Günther Völler Writes To Captain Miscavige

November 20, 2013 By Mike Rinder 106 Comments

To Mr. David Miscavige COB RTC ----------------------------------- Günther Völler Public Scientologist                                                                      13 November 2013   My name is Günther Völler. I became a member of the Church of Scientology in 1987 at Bern Org, later at Zurich Org, Switzerland. From the very first moment, I developed an intense interest in reading, studying,  learning and applying the teachings of Mr. L. Ron Hubbard. I wanted to go up The Bridge, and I wanted to help others do so as well. Throughout the years, I have taken many courses … [Read more...]

Wendy Bowman — of the “Joburg 18” — Tells Her Story

November 11, 2013 By Mike Rinder 64 Comments

The South African Scientology field is being treated to some history lessons from some of its most illustrious members. While the church is busily trying to black PR the Joburg 18, they are simply sending out their stories.  Anyone with half a brain can read this and the letter from Gaye Corbett and know without a shadow of a doubt "This is no SP, in fact, if someone declared her and her husband they are either insane or a sociopath."  Thank you for standing tall Wendy and all the rest of the Joburg 18 and friends. There was an old term "Founding Scientologist" reserved for those who had … [Read more...]

How Many Taxpayer-subsidized Mansions, Homes and Offices Does a Dead Man Need? It turns out to be a LOT when it comes to #scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Once again, where is the #IRS? How is this a valid exempt purpose? https://youtu.be/JfmJHiGfevA via @YouTube
