Another provocative essay from our old friend Terra Cognita. Scientology’s End Game One of these days David Miscavige will be gone and then what? Will one of his sycophants take over? Or will a more enlightened individual or group seize the reins and usher in a real “new era?” In order to better understand the end, we should look at the beginning. Source L. Ron Hubbard was the self-proclaimed source of everything Scientology. He wrote all the tech. He wrote all the policy. Even if others actually penned a bulletin here or there, he was still Source. He claimed that he disco … [Read more...]

Scientology “expansion” debunked
A scientology fan on Twitter today reminded me just how thick the bubble of scientology is. Whether this was a real scientologists or simply an OSA front account, the point is still the same. This Twitter genius was repeating the line that "scientology has expanded more in the last 10 years than in the 50 years previously." (I asked him whether he measured this in "vacant real estate purchased" or "# lies told". The discussion didn't go far from there.) This "last 10 years" is a variation of some of the other doozies Miscavige has tossed out about "47X expansion" and "each ideal org sees 1 … [Read more...]

Where Are Scientology’s Spokespeople?
Hurricane Leah is blowing scientology's house down and their only response is to send legal threat letters, create "WhoIs" smear sites and put up a webpage with their extremely lame response. Here is their "handling" for the relentless storm surge that is swamping their leaking lifeboat. I have commented previously about their responses, this article addresses the statement above (this is the SAME response they have had on their website forever as even more of their dirty laundry keeps tumbling out, this is apparently the best they can do) and this is another article … [Read more...]
Lois Reisdorf Part 6 – Rise of David Miscavige
Rise of David Miscavige I made an appearance on ABC's 20/20 on April 29th of this year for their program about Ron Miscavige. Doing this TV show was the first time I was speaking out after almost 35 years – it was hard for me to do. My appearance (in the first 10 minutes) was due to the fact that I had a missing link not covered in Ron Miscavige Sr. book RUTHLESS: how did the rise of David Miscavige happen? ABC filmed about 20 minutes of me telling this story, but only 2 minutes was used on the show. The “church’s” response to my appearance was something on the order of –“Lois w … [Read more...]
Lois Reisdorf – Part 5 (1978)
1978 was a crazy year, very tumultuous. LRH arrived back to La Quinta in January of 1978 after Mary Sue had moved to LA to handle her criminal case from the Snow White FBI Investigation. While he was gone, during the last half of 1977, the messengers and most of the crew on base were preparing for the making of the tech movies. During 78 and 79 we called this the Cine Org; it was not named Gold until later years. Recruitment had been done to get more people for this unit and we messengers had typed the scripts LRH had sent us via mail. So when he arrived back to La Quinta he got … [Read more...]
Scientology Dead Agents* Itself
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, scientology wasted no time rolling out a whole new website of smear after the premiere of Leah Remini: Scientology and The Aftermath. Because of this, Thursday Funnies have taken a one week hiatus while I comment on this latest development from the fevered mind of Miscavige. Cleverly (?) titled Aftermath: After Money (no doubt Miscavige got a kick out of that, probably thought it up himself, laughed at his own cleverness and his sycophants all laughed along with him) it announces in its headline what has come to be the hallmark of scientology's "Dead … [Read more...]
Miscavige Musings & Mutterings
This drivel is a full page in the latest edition of Impact magazine - the IAS propaganda organ. You sort of get the idea what he is trying to say. The strange metaphors that are Shermanspeak specialties make it difficult to fathom, sort of like the front porch of eternity or whatever that idiocy was. The great Mr. David Miscavige is trying very hard to portray himself as some sort of humanitarian. Such hypocrisy. Not only does he personally infringe on people's rights with reckless abandon, he oversees an organization that abides by articles of faith to: Destroy its enemies by any means … [Read more...]
California Dreaming
Some thoughts on the latest "ideal org" to open in San Diego this weekend. Shermanspeak Ah, the magnificent prose: Follow the Pacific Coast Highway down Southern California’s meandering shoreline along a 70-mile stretch of sandy beaches basking in the most perfect weather—anywhere—and you’ll arrive to the city of San Diego. Such was the location for a sunbaked Saturday afternoon amid San Diego’s downtown skyline—a sublime setting to celebrate the city’s new Church of Scientology. The insane claims: the ribbon yanking on this building is "hailed as a moment for the American Dream" … [Read more...]
