There are many wonderful quotes from this truly inspirational man who had the courage to stand for what he thought was right and good and just. I had intended this post to come earlier in the day, where in the US we are celebrating Martin Luther King Jnr Day today. But things got away from me, so it is a little tardy. Someone pointed out this quote to me the other day, and it stuck with me. It was written by Dr. King from a jail cell in Birmingham Alabama on 16 April, 1963, and this is the paragraph from which the quote above is lifted: We should never forget that everything Adolf … [Read more...]
Here They Go Again
The champions of protecting intellectual property rights (as long as they are their own) are at it again. This is the organization that promotes itself as the LARGEST private humanitarian relief force on earth. That they are at the forefront of guaranteeing human rights. Their dear leader has repeatedly equated himself with the Catholic Pope (as recently as his letters to HBO). Yet, they don't put HIS picture on the Way To Happiness booklets. Of course, harsh reality is that if they did put his photoshopped visage on their booklet, everyone who didn't burst out laughing would … [Read more...]
Shit Scientology Says
This is the third in the scientology HBO footbullet series. See the two previous posts. My comments about are in blue. They follow reviewing the Freedom magazine pages about Alex Gibney and HBO. Below is the introductory statement: More than two years after Alex Gibney, Lawrence Wright and HBO started working in secret on a film glorifying bitter, vengeful apostates expelled from the Church of Scientology for malfeasance, they continue to stonewall any offers to meet with Church officials. Furthermore, they won’t tell the Church any of their allegations, let alone allow for a fair and … [Read more...]
Scientology/The Media Redux
Thanks to Tony Ortega for being right on the ball and putting up the image of the full page footbullet early this morning. Tony also took the time to retype the text of the ad and I am taking a few minutes to comment on some of their drivel. First, there is this quote from Monique Edwige Yingling in the NY Times article of last evening: "Monique E. Yingling, a lawyer for the church, said shunning was practiced by a number of religions, has been upheld as legally permissible by courts and, in the case of Scientology, is reserved for those who have started “attacking the r … [Read more...]
Scientology Promoting HBO Documentary
Scientology is apparently hell bent on turning Alex Gibney's upcoming documentary into a major hit. More power to them. The New York Times reports the church is taking out full page ads to denounce a film they have not seen. This is every PR man's dream. The HBO PR Team should send them a thank you basket. With The Interview so fresh in everyone's mind, the chances of scientology convincing anyone this is a "UVA/Rolling Stone redux" are slim to none. The take away is more likely to be persuading/intriguing people to see the film because scientology hates it with such … [Read more...]

The (lack of) irony deparment... This small collection of Craigslist ads is a study in irony. The people who destroy families and tear relationships apart, who lie with reckless abandon... The Global Reach of Radio How nutty is this. They can produce everything for radio without any "new studios", they have literally dozens of UNUTILIZED studios. If their figures are true -- 95% of the world's population listens to radio, that means about 75% of those people (between China, India, SE Asia and Africa) cannot even afford to buy an overpriced book, let alone a service. … [Read more...]
Fred Haseney
Declaration of Independence By Fred Haseney January 10, 2015 On January 27, 1986, I attended the event at the Hollywood Palladium, in Los Angeles, California, in which David Miscavige announced the death of L. Ron Hubbard (“LRH”). By the end of the evening's proceedings, I knew that I would never, ever attend another event sponsored by the Church of Scientology. I can't say exactly why, but I knew that as I exited the Palladium's doors that that would be the last Scientology event for me.This "Declaration of Independence" is being prepared in such a way so that the Ethics Officer (“EO”) … [Read more...]
Scientology And The Internet
The biggest problem confronting scientology is the statistic they are using to make their latest pitch for money. 8 new people on the internet every second. Who knows if this is true or not, but the number is really irrelevant. It could be one per second or 800 per second. Not a single one of those 1 or 8 or 800 people will ever find the PR about scientology they attempt to spread on the internet without ALSO finding the truth about scientology, which is far more prevalent. It's the ultimate Catch 22. Scientology is like a bunch of starving villagers in an isolated village. They k … [Read more...]

Who can you trust? I would hazard a guess that it's probably not someone that doesn't identify themselves in the ad they place... Creepy This poster just creeps me out. And why is it that LA Org doesn't have anyone other than a "Pre GAT II" Class IV? How demeaning is this... Reserve the date... Rabid Clive will be back in town to brief on the progress towards the target of 10,000 people on, through or declared while auditing Solo NOTs. Should be quite a wild show. What Does It Take? I wonder what "It" … [Read more...]
How To Fake Stats
A Special Correspondent sent this in. I've recently started getting texts from Judy Fagerman, who seems to still be the VM I/C Tampa. Here are a few texts she sent me in the last few weeks. I copied all text exactly. Typos included: Dec 15: "Active VM now this week? 141 assists, 34 books at Winter Wonderland. Miracle wins! ML, Judy :)" Dec 22: "Active VM now this week? Did 220 assists, sold 48 books & got out 1,300 promo at Winter Wonderland! Woo hoo! ML, Judy" An earlier one I found interesting since it allows sign "waiving" to be counted as a VM activity: Oct 27: "Active VM now th … [Read more...]
