An interesting article in the Tampa Bay Times with one of the most misleading headlines of all time! Some excerpts below: She donated nearly $300,000 to Church of Scientology, which doesn’t want it The Church of Scientology is shunning a $278,158 donation because of concerns it might have been "ill-gotten" and "misappropriated." Susan Taylor Martin Published: January 5, 2018 On her Cozy Cottages website, Olga Favrow called herself one of the "leading authorities on real estate" in Tampa Bay. "You’ve come to the right place!’’ the site sa … [Read more...]
Super Power “Success”
This "success story" looks like it might have been written by Dan Sherman. 5 paragraphs of words that mean nothing with no conclusion. SUPER POWER COMPLETION OT VIII FREEDOM MEDAL WINNER California, USA T I M B O W L E S on the Confront and Cause RD of Super Power… At this instant, well over seven billion people are striving to survive on this small planet. At this very moment, newborns take their first breath over the span of Earth while elders sense their last upcoming. As I write, there are billions crying, laughing, prayi … [Read more...]
Clearwater PR – Xmas Carolers Surprise
Another Freudian slip. This is a couple of weeks old. Scientology put out a press release about their wonderful goodwill gesture of caroling for Christmas. Of course, scientology and Christianity have nothing to do with one another. Scientologists do NOT celebrate Christmas. Their Christmas is March 13, they hold a massive celebration (at least massive for them) to commemorate the birth of L. Ron Hubbard. It is the most important day on the scientology calendar. So, it is quite hypocritical for them to make themselves appear to be "Christian observant." But then Amber inadvertently … [Read more...]
Cause Resurgence Rundown Success — I Now Fundraise for Ideal Orgs
This "success story" caught my attention for a couple of reasons. First, the idea that it could be considered a "win" to decide that you could now help with fundraising is rather comical. Tells you what is important in the world of scientology. It is obviously a point of shame to NOT be participating in fundraising for ideal orgs. But there is a larger point here, concerning scientology "success stories" in general. As a general rule, "success stories" are tailored to what the person thinks they are supposed to be saying in order to fit in with the expectations of the group. "Success … [Read more...]
Flag OTC
Bubbles Champagne and her gang of merry fools are still bubbling along... As always, they reveal more than they think with their hype-minutes. If you were looking for theetie-weetie... Jim Wavell (can't even spell his name right...) was the cook on the Apollo. In a "galley" that was right out of a Dickens novel. His interactions with Hubbard were minimal or zero -- he might have spotted him once when Hubbard ventured onto the dock, but that was about all. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice guy, but it's like having someone do a briefing on what the Beatles were like because they … [Read more...]
Quailynn & Paul McDaniel — Check Mate
Check Mate Recovering from Scientology has been no easy task. However my husband and I did it, together. What broke me from the church initially was this: I was on the ship to do OTVIII, I had cleared every hurdle placed infront of me. As most of you know they are many and extremely difficult -- tailored to break you in every possible way. I was on the ship in Cartagena, Columbia. They had taken my passport and the staff had locked me in a room in a room for three days and had me read my husbands confidential confessionals detailing why he was a horrible human worthy of betrayal. This was an … [Read more...]
Flag OTC Minutes & LRH Aftermath
The latest and greatest from the biggest and best OT Committee on earth. Some interesting tidbits in here. As announced by the ex-WDC member Anna Paddock (one of the morons who showed up at the Rathbun's to check on their "squirreling") -- the "Clear event" was a "big success" with 30 attendees. Remember, scientology claims 12,000+ members in the Tampa Bay area. Doesn't appear to be a "big success" even if there is only 10% of that number of scientologists. David Pomeranz's wife is the "OT IX and X Get Ready Pjt Officer"... Must be good to have a lifetime and beyond appointment. She … [Read more...]
Flag OTC News
Some interesting information here. Plenty of evidence things are not all peachy at Flag. Just a few comments: They are trying to double the number of IAS members by reducing the annual membership fee and sending a mailing to everyone who has ever bought a book! Ha. Good luck with that. Although they disclose the REAL intent -- to get people to higher statuses and that is ONLY about money. THE most successful Clear event yet had 30 attendees. Yes, 30. And they then go on to say there are more Clears than any other case level... There are less than 50,000 people on earth who … [Read more...]
WD 40?
This is pretty much a throw-away post for today. The relentless drive for "donations" gives birth to some really cray cray stuff. The opportunities for innuendo and puns are almost endless with something like this. I will leave that to the many humorous commenters that frequent this site. As I said, for personal reasons I don't have much time to devote to putting together a decent post today. Hope Tony O has something good... … [Read more...]
The Largest Private Relief Force on Earth
The mighty Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology swung into immediate video action in downtown Clearwater following Hurricane Irma. One of our local Special Correspondents has been documenting their activities. Photos of the photo ops... Venturing 100 yards down Ft Harrison to the nearest patch of foliage they could find, the yellow shirts and their videographer got stuck in to some serious disaster clean up. Remember, this is the largest single concentration of scientologists on this or any other planet in the universe, and this was apparently the best they could … [Read more...]
