Thursday Funnies

March 3, 2022 By Mike Rinder 52 Comments

What Could Be Better? I wonder if ANYONE actually attended this?   Kiddie Corner Sad as always...   The Chan Man I would love to ask him about being in Power on the 8th Dynamic and what this looks like? Would he say he is God like Nancy Cartwright infamously did?\ Also, I wonder if him being in Power on all dynamics has anything to do with the fact that he is apparently doing "In Org Live Event" in 3 cities at the same time (everyone else has to Zoom In)???   Love that tag line "We audit kids"   Still only … [Read more...]

The Spirit of Giving... To us.   They found one A single person to say how great Battlefield Earth is. That's worth promoting.   For good? Seriously? Do you know how many NN grads relapse? About the same as every other program....   Kiddie Corner She is 9 and learning how to identify SPs in her life     Come to dinner Get a pitch from the "Captain" -- sort of like one of those time share or cemetery plot offers. But I bet the food isn't as good.   All about helping people ...relieve themselves of their … [Read more...]

Hawking Hubbard Fiction

October 17, 2021 By Mike Rinder 50 Comments

Hubbard fiction still being peddled, now by comparing it to Dune and Foundation.  These guys will try to cash in on anything. Because these two sci-fi classics are currently getting  buzz because of new screen adaptations (though i must say every review I have seen of Asimov's  Foundation indicates it bears little resemblance to the books)  the hustlers at Galaxy Press are trying to make it seem as though Battlefield Earth is in the same league. After all, it too was turned into a film, and what a magnificent disaster that was, memorialized in numerous "worst films of all time" lists. I … [Read more...]

Hawking Hubbard Fiction

August 18, 2021 By Mike Rinder 45 Comments

Our old friend, Clearly Not Clear, sent this to me with some comments…. I'm looking at the writers of the future 7 books set. It seems to suggest that 89 of these stories won awards. I doubt it. I wonder what awards they did win? Since nobody wants to buy 7 year old anthologies, they include "advice for new writers." This is somebody's bright idea. Well, it's really not a very bright idea in my opinion. Now, can we talk about Battlefield Earth on audio? Seriously 150,000 sound effects? Was that like the stat of the week? How many sound effects and farts can I record to be in screaming … [Read more...]

Author Services Still Hawking Worthless “Collectibles”

June 30, 2020 By Mike Rinder 48 Comments

Back in the 80's, Author Services Inc was created as L. Ron Hubbard's "Literary Agency." The actual function of ASI, then headed by David Miscavige as "Chairman of the Board", Norman Starkey as "Trustee of L. Ron Hubbard's Estate" and Terri Gamboa as Executive Director, was twofold. To shield Hubbard from legal liability that flowed through association with the church. This gave him a control vehicle that was a profit-making, non-church entity, but through the command structure of the Sea Org, was able to direct scientology without overt evidence of doing so. A lot could be said about … [Read more...]

L. Ron Hubbard claims his "scientific research" proves he went to heaven. He also opines how #scientology must replace the "false Gods" of #christianity and other religions. It's one of his truly unhinged scribblings that they don't want people to see.

So many people expected that #GhislaineMaxwell would walk free from this trial, but the story told by @BradEdwards_Esq in Relentless Pursuit reveals exactly how she and Epstein worked together. It's a shocking and compelling read. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Relentless-Pursuit-Victims-Jeffrey-Epstein/dp/1471195317/ref=monarch_sidesheet https://twitter.com/BBCWorld/status/1476458297897201667

Watch #TheDeepEnd on Hulu. Fascinating 4 part doc study of cult leader @_tealswan by Jon Kasbe and @BitsSola. Also listen to interview by @sarahjedmondson and @nippyames on @alittlebitculty podcast. Cult leaders are all cut from the same cloth. My take: https://www.mikerindersblog.org/off-the-deep-end/
