Thursday Funnies

January 20, 2022 By Mike Rinder 28 Comments

Nothing is Happening Repeated showings of "Brief Breath in Eternity Event" -- all have limited seats available (they are showing it in the broom closet). Wonder what their "human rights activities" were on MLK Day?   Saving Mankind "a little at a time" -- like REALLY little. Like not measurable.   Columbus Org Birthday Not sure what this is about. But you gotta wonder what they have to celebrate? A whole bunch of stranded Sea Org members....   Is Tony Muhammad Invited? Remembering is one thing, he doesn't think the Holocaust was … [Read more...]

Port Elizabeth Racing to the “Finish Line”

January 16, 2022 By Mike Rinder 28 Comments

It is happening in Port Elizabeth everyone! After 200 days of renovations they are putting in the drop ceilings. That is "racing".... And this is of course moving Africa ever closer to an "ideal" "continent." The other "coastal orgs" (Durban and Capetown) purchased buildings many, many years ago and have done nothing with them. Harare and Bulawayo remain hopeless and the chance of either of them becomingbideal is slim to none. But that’s not even the biggest joke. Their “continent” will be “ideal” without a single org in 52 of the 54 countries that make up the continent. With a … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

January 13, 2022 By Mike Rinder 44 Comments

2022 - It's Going To Be Monumental Like every other year. At the start its always going to be THE year. Coming up on 20 years they have been working on getting orgs ideal. 35 for St Hill Size.     Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner Columbus is the third best org in the world? Columbus. OMG.   Are they recruiting homeless people? It would not be the first org to have done that...   Guadalajara is going ideal... One of the smallest and failingest orgs on earth is now going to go ideal. Sure....   What does this have to do with … [Read more...]

What’s Happening in Melbourne “Ideal” Org?

December 11, 2021 By Mike Rinder 32 Comments

Here is the latest magazine from the Melbourne "ideal" org, supposedly the best Class V org in Australia (by a country mile as they say there). Yet this magazine is what is known in the propaganda world as a Nothingburger. I comment on various sections below... The pretty cover (nothing to do with anything inside) makes a promise that inside you will find out all about the "Training Boom" and the "Latest Completions & Success Stories."   An important message from the unnamed Executive Directors (why no names?) Of course, as always, "there has never been a … [Read more...]

Where Have All The Humanitarians Gone?

October 31, 2021 By Mike Rinder 21 Comments

They have been trying to beat the dead horses that are the scientology public for money to buy empty buildings since Miscavige launched his "ideal org" boondoggle in 2003. More than 20 years later, this org has not managed to round up 50 "Humanitarians." I have no idea how many of these people are from Brisbane. Or even Australia. In the bottom left in blue is Trish Duggan. She is most definitely not Australian or in Australia. If this is all they can round up from across the world, it says a lot about the current state of the "Ideal Org" program. It has run its … [Read more...]

The All Ideal Wild West

October 27, 2021 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

The idiocy continues... The "Wild West" is going to become the "All Ideal Wild West" (as long as you hand over enough money). Not only that -- out of the entire western half of the US (and Flag) they have scraped together 338 "confirms" for this monumental event.  The vast majority of those "confirms" are people who say they confirm just so they don't get 5 or more calls a day. The number who will actually show up for this latest fundraiser is likely about 10% of that. As a special treat -- here is the video she is touting. You can click on it yourself and see how many views and … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

September 30, 2021 By Mike Rinder 30 Comments

Not a lot of funnies this week, but there are some good ones...   Does this entice you? I don't know what it is, but the look on her face scares me. Just a creepy shot.   All your questions? How about "these volcanoes didn't exist 75 million years ago?" or "how do you pack a thetan in frozen glycol when it has no physical presence?" or "If all my questions are answered, why do I need to bother with OT V or VII or VIII?"     How to get along with others... Unless, of course, they are SP's. Then there is nothing you can do. And this problem is … [Read more...]

Joburg Org Getting ‘Em Young

September 4, 2021 By Mike Rinder 17 Comments

Joburg Org is working overtime to get those old thetans in young bodies back onto the Bridge. Quite possibly these are the only public on service in the org.... There are after all only two students' graphs on the wall.   When these courses are delivered in schools or businesses, they are denominated as "secular"... They are exactly the same thing in a scientology org (in this case Jobur) as they are in a Delphi school or a WISE Consulting business. Here is a screenshot from the ABLE website promoting exactly the same book for "secular" use:   … [Read more...]

Still Trying to Milk The Pandemic

August 15, 2021 By Mike Rinder 29 Comments

It appears this is the only thing they have going on inside the bubble. Trying to hype people about what they did last year spraying Defcon 7 (or whatever it was) in some police stations in South Africa. They are giving themselves a pat on the back for "protecting our churches, our staff and our communities." That is a questionable claim. But, they did collect millions of dollars on the basis of needing money to pay their "staff" though it's unlikely any of it actually went to the staff (who are denominated as "volunteers" to avoid labor laws and thus do not in fact get "wages"). But … [Read more...]

Lamer and Lamer

August 5, 2021 By Mike Rinder 36 Comments

Why do they even put this stuff out? This is so weak it is almost like a parody. Imagine The Onion doing a satire promoting the OT Committee. This is what they might come up with. Why is it so good to join the OT Committee? Because no matter what you are able to do or are interested in doing you can fit right in.... Now isn't that the definition of OT? And the image of what an ideal OT Committee member looks like? It's hard to be sure this isn't a promotional piece for the knitting circle at a retirement community? Or the old ad "I've fallen and I can't get up." And those glasses... … [Read more...]

Crazy L. Ron Hubbard's 1980 letter to Pres. Reagan explaining his plan for a national sales tax and abolishing the IRS. It was a key theme of #scientology's war on the IRS... until they got exemption. Do today's proponents know? Full letter in blog post.

@MikeRinder just finished reading your book. I've been anti-scientology for about 30 years. Your book was so informative as to the mindset and the bullying, gaslighting etc. Every through I watched the documentaries and listened to the podcast, I found this book so much (/2)
