It's IAS Event week So the overhype is spectacular in it's epicness. I have spared you all the trash they sent out this past week. Monumental in volume. Miniscule in content. They keep coming up with these silly phrases -- Shaping a renaissance for freedom... It's Huge! History is made... Bubbles chimes in with some less than convincing hype. The Freedom Metal winners... Beyond your imagination - perhaps the only true statement. Actually, it's an epic rehash... The opening of Harlem and the AO in Australia. Woopee. But don't miss the … [Read more...]
Look, We ARE Clearing the Planet
OK - forget about clearing the Confederacy for now. Let's just focus on Clearing the planet. Or any entity. And let's use the best case scenario they have to offer. The one they talk about most. The idealiest of all orgs that was taken over by 200 of the elite of the planet cause over everything SO members. This is their latest promo piece boasting of their stupendously epic milestone achievements. Well, let's do some math. Taking what they say as true (highly unlikely) and granting them that every "NED Case Completion" went on to become Clear (also highly unlikely), this, the biggest, … [Read more...]
Scientology Churches: Open and Welcoming. Not
I was recently in New York, literally across the street from St Patrick's Cathedral. With 15 minutes to spare, I stopped in for a quick visit in the middle of a weekday afternoon. Literally hundreds of people were sitting on the front steps enjoying the sunshine and doing who knows what. Inside there were probably 500 - 1000 people either sitting in the pews or walking around looking at the architecture, taking photos and shooting videos. They did a cursory purse inspection for women with bags (or men with backpacks) at the door, otherwise access was unfettered and uninhibited. Nobody … [Read more...]
Ideal Org Fail: London
Here is further proof of the total fail that is the ideal org program. This is one of the very first ideal orgs. 2004 if I recall correctly. The premises were procured at enormous expense and the old London Org, which had been at Tottenham Court Rd forever, was converted into a "Test Center" and Div 6 feeder for the main org that was moved to a deserted street right near St Paul's cathedral. The "CC London" was closed down and combined with this magnificent new org that was the answer to clearing not just London, but entirety of England, in fact the whole of the United Kingdom. And … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Someone commented last week that this would be the 100th edition of Thursday Funnies.... And I think that is correct based on the numbering of the link. \ Quite a centenary. And we have a lot of funnies for today. It must be noted that these weekly funnies would not be possible without the support of many who forward the information to me each week. Tampa Has No Speakers How bizarre - this org is nearly "double SH Size" and they don't have anyone to deliver a Tone Scale lecture other than importing a mercenary blood sucker. More strange quotes... Many scientologists … [Read more...]
More Ideal Fail: Phoenix…
This is the state of the Phoenix "ideal" org. The have put out a "Big announcement." Might even be epic. Milestone. Unprecedented. TWO people "graduated" something this week. Likely they finished reading a book. Yes, TWO. And it is such big news they sent out a promotional piece for it. Now THAT'S massive international, straight up and vertical, 63X expansion. ...and Twin Cities Just in case anyone still had doubts that perhaps Phoenix was just out of step with the rest of the straight up and vertical ideal org expansion, there is this from Twin … [Read more...]
Scientology Fail: More Proof
Another of our Special Correspondents was inspired to send in a report about the state of St Louis org. This is of course home of the mighty "101st Airborne" fundraisers (cringe) and part of the first "ideal continent" (because the main part of the city is West of the Mississippi and so arbitrarily is part of the "WUS continent" of the scientology world). This article appeared almost exactly 6 years ago. And that was already 6 years in to the "ideal org" ponzi scheme as the single most important thing all scientologists were supposed to be working on. You can see a shot of the article … [Read more...]
The Denver Idealish Org Fail
Here is an interesting item sent in by a special correspondent. One of our favorite "ideal" orgs is the Colorado Rockies overflow parking lot in Denver. They continue to hold regular IAS "briefings" there, though it is a wonder they can cover the airfare it costs to get there. It is touted by Miscavige and his PR minions as one of the "50 ideal orgs that PROVE the massive international expansion of scientology under the brilliant leadership of Mr. David Miscavige." Everyone inside the bubble is pretending this (and all the rest of idealish orgs) is a functioning, ongoing, … [Read more...]
The Merchants of Chaos
Who are the Merchants of Chaos? Scientology teaches that Suppressive Persons are Merchants of Chaos - relaying only "entheta" and generally upsetting people around them with bad news. Seems quite sensible you would not want to associate with this sort of person. And of course, L. Ron Hubbard declared the media are ALL Merchants of Chaos. A Special Correspondent sent this letter to me, pointing out just how much "bad news" the ED of St Louis is spreading around to one and all. This is of course an art mastered by the IAS through the likes of Michael Roberts and Jeff Pomerantz and the … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Fearless Leader? Back in action with more ridiculousness. Wee gatherings and big gatherings -- but no details about where or when. That's a secret! Highest Ever after Highest Ever Haha. If they are expanding like crazy and have all these Highest Evers, how is it possible that after 6 years as an "ideal org" they are still not SH Size. In fact, they don't even have their filing up to date! The Foundation for Planetary Clearing There are apparently 50 or more of these ideal orgs. By now something should be visible in the planetary clearing … [Read more...]
