Episode 72: Stefani Hutchison Exposing the Lies

January 10, 2022 By Mike Rinder 62 Comments

We bring back one of our favorites this week, the wonderful Stefani Hutchison. Stefani was never a scientologist, but has taken up the cudgel of exposing the lies of scientology on her excellent blog: Confront and Shatter   In this episode, we cover some of the sleuth work Stefani has done, investigating the claims made by scientology and their front groups. You can find the stories on her blog, and I am also listing them here. It is pretty conclusive evidence that when scientology claims they are "working with the Red Cross" or had a "partnership with..." or "they handed … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

Not as many Thursday Funnies this week. If you come across something that might belong here, please ensure you forward it to me. If you don't have my email leave a comment saying you have something for Thursday Funnies and I will reach out to you.   An Ideal Universe Not content with an ideal org. Or even a country. Or Planet. Or Galaxy. She is really "thinking big"... She is sure that by giving some money to buy a new building for this always pathetic and failing org in Brisbane she is "making a difference."   Interesting questions... How do you create your own universe? Just close your eyes and pretend. It's easy. And what about guaranteeing your OTness in the future? Just give money. In fact, the answers to ALL questions: Give us your money and we will promise anything.   Clean Body Clean Mind A new take on the Purif? You can do it in the shower?   Anything to try to attract some warm bodies Wonder if the Jive Asses are going to make an appearance? Is Swing a thing?   They put out a promo piece for this? Scientology and Christmas

December 18, 2019 By Mike Rinder 62 Comments

It seems the media is becoming more aware of the truth about scientology. This recent article in the Kansas City Star is not the sort of "goodwill" and "PR area control" scientology was hoping to garner from opening their new "ideal org" and launching into a PR offensive for the holiday season. The title of the article alone is enough to send shivers down COB's spine: Kansas City’s Church of Scientology opens a Winter Wonderland: Is this some ploy? Ploy you ask? Ploy? You can read the full article at the link above. I have a few thoughts about it. Following the evocative … [Read more...]

“New” Ideal Orgs

November 2, 2019 By Mike Rinder 30 Comments

The Kansas City and Columbus "ideal orgs" are supposed to open over the next 2 weekends. This is no surprise -- Miscavige probably stayed in the UK and is flying directly to Kansas City for the opening, which is why it is one week after the IAS. It is also timed so he could get a double whammy -announce it at the IAS and then show the ribbon yanking as main topics To prove massive international expansion at the New Years Event. He could not have an entire year with NO "ideal orgs." Back in the good old days he had them at each event throughout the year. Remember the hullabaloo about … [Read more...]

Bobby Wiggins is sadly not much of an advertisement for "OT VII Super Power Completion"   This their plaque? They can't even get the first name right?   Such a terrible lie And they put it out every year around this time. Seriously? Now that's an offer you can't refuse...       Worst photoshop ever Looks like a cardboard cutout pasted onto the … [Read more...]

Freedom for all California... One more empty building and California will be free at last! Not a chance ANYONE actually buys this. But the rah-rah seems to impress.   No we don't Not a one has EVER come back   Nothing quite like "Big Blue" It's ugly, dirty and empty. More Words of Wisdom from Ron + Leah Remini Talks Aftermath Finale

August 19, 2019 By Mike Rinder 160 Comments

It never ceases to amaze me how overtly crazy some of Hubbard's ramblings are. Or how the clubbed seals inside the bubble proffer them as evidence of his infallible wisdom in all things. Not that I didn't do the same for many, many years. And perhaps that is what makes it even more remarkable to me now. Here is one being circulated by the geniuses at Kansas City. It really WAS a goal of Hubbard to "make nothing out of the enemy" (so much for What is Greatness? ) and his idea of his organizations being "a steady firing platform" without which they "cannot make nothing of the … [Read more...]

A “Fact” to Wonder About

July 7, 2019 By Mike Rinder 65 Comments

A new trend in scientology "promotion" is for orgs trying to "go ideal" to promote the virtues of their cities. They seek to recruit people to man these "ideal orgs" from other areas of the country and presumably other nations. There has recently been a competition of sorts between Columbus, Austin and Kansas City over the virtues of their respective cities, ranging from the number of fountains ("more than Rome") to proximity to vast numbers of people ("within 600 miles of 50% of the population of the US) and of course "best BBQ" or "live music capital" or "lots of universities"... It's a … [Read more...]

Kansas City Corn

June 3, 2019 By Mike Rinder 68 Comments

It's a Disney dream from the deluded bubble-dwellers in Kansas.  This is absolutely bonkers. Walt Disney spent time in Kansas City, so you should join org staff to make an ideal dream come true. What's next -- "the Kansas City Chiefs were good last year, but they need to be pushed over the top to make it all way. So join org staff." Or, "We are famous for our corn here in Kansas, so join the corniest team on earth?" Meanwhile, in Los Angeles the STAAD League are protesting outside Disney HQ because they are such "bigots"... Scientology has a hard time keeping their stories … [Read more...]

L. Ron Hubbard claims his "scientific research" proves he went to heaven. He also opines how #scientology must replace the "false Gods" of #christianity and other religions. It's one of his truly unhinged scribblings that they don't want people to see.

So many people expected that #GhislaineMaxwell would walk free from this trial, but the story told by @BradEdwards_Esq in Relentless Pursuit reveals exactly how she and Epstein worked together. It's a shocking and compelling read. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Relentless-Pursuit-Victims-Jeffrey-Epstein/dp/1471195317/ref=monarch_sidesheet https://twitter.com/BBCWorld/status/1476458297897201667

Watch #TheDeepEnd on Hulu. Fascinating 4 part doc study of cult leader @_tealswan by Jon Kasbe and @BitsSola. Also listen to interview by @sarahjedmondson and @nippyames on @alittlebitculty podcast. Cult leaders are all cut from the same cloth. My take: https://www.mikerindersblog.org/off-the-deep-end/
