Thursday Funnies

October 6, 2022 By Mike Rinder 27 Comments

There is a bit of a backlog of Funnies. The ones that were too outdated I sent to the trash file. There are quite a lot, two weeks worth in one episode! Smile away...   They're "On The Plaque" until they're not... These things are VERY temporary.   The "Honor Roll" On it until you're not. These are the marks who have contributed to making Australia the first "ideal continent"...   Big Thumbs Up Come on in, the water's fine. Not that many regges...   Chicago is big So I joined staff. Cincinnati needs staff desperately, their … [Read more...]

The All Ideal Wild West

October 27, 2021 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

The idiocy continues... The "Wild West" is going to become the "All Ideal Wild West" (as long as you hand over enough money). Not only that -- out of the entire western half of the US (and Flag) they have scraped together 338 "confirms" for this monumental event.  The vast majority of those "confirms" are people who say they confirm just so they don't get 5 or more calls a day. The number who will actually show up for this latest fundraiser is likely about 10% of that. As a special treat -- here is the video she is touting. You can click on it yourself and see how many views and … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

October 7, 2021 By Mike Rinder 51 Comments

She not only found "truth"... She got a job. Oh dear. Wait until she gets her "pay"...     Why is St Hill pitching itself in Spanish? They are supposed to service the UK. AOSHEU is supposed to service Europe. Of course, the problem is there aren't enough Clears being made in the UK (if any) so they have to look elsewhere. The real state of scientology.   A virtual "briefing" The difference between this and a reg call? Absolutely nothing.   Come join us in quarantine! What could be more fun that flying to LA to spend two … [Read more...]

Some Funnies

May 12, 2021 By Mike Rinder 29 Comments

A few promotional items sent in over the last week. Of course, it was Mother's Day, which seemed oddly inappropriate to fall on the same day as Dianetics was published, because Dianetics reflects Hubbard's dystopian view of women -- a great deal of the book is devoted to the idea that women routinely seek to self-abort their pregnancies. Somehow, everyone supposedly has these "engrams" from their time in the womb... But it is also a reflection of the decline of scientology that "Dianetics Day" -- once one of the "big" international events where the newest Dianetics sponsored race car would … [Read more...]

The Next Great Milestone Achievement

March 28, 2021 By Mike Rinder 42 Comments

This is a "milestone"? That they might at some point gather enough money to buy a building for this tiny, perpetually failing "org"? Scientology has hype-inflation. Their hype keeps growing less and less believable so they have to keep ratcheting up the hype... It's like rolling in wheelbarrows full of cash to buy a loaf of bread during hyperinflation. They roll in wheelbarrows of over-the-top descriptions for the most mundane of events. They're going to have some hula dancing and a "surprise" -- they have two "guest speakers" along with the "Hawaii Fundraising Project In-Charge." … [Read more...]

Holiday Funnies

December 24, 2020 By Mike Rinder 28 Comments

A special edition of the Funnies just for the holidays. There is an apparently endless stream of "Holiday" promotion -- though scientology of course does not recognize Jesus as anything but part of the "R6 bank."   Virtual Freewinds Wouldn't you like to be at the Freewinds for the holidays? So, to entice you to go there, they are holding a virtual concert in Los Angeles? WTF?   Virtual Hawaii And the point of this? Strictly a fundraiser obviously. What does Bodhi Elfman have to do with Christmas? Or Hawaii? Or anything at all?   Well, they are going to … [Read more...]

Hawaii Five-Oh Oh — A Thursday Funny

May 14, 2020 By Mike Rinder 78 Comments

The "Task Force" to "Save the Islands!" Seriously? Save them from what? They cannot even save themselves. Hawaii has been a small and failing org for decades. And that is being kind. They actually barely exist. That's why all the other orgs have to come to their rescue. I wonder if they realize (probably nobody in Hawaii org is OT III) that this is one of the two most important locations on earth in the Xenu story (along with "Las Palmas" which is a mistake as that is the name of a city, not a volcano or even volcanic island...). According to Hubbard's theories, there … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

October 17, 2019 By Mike Rinder 51 Comments

Free Ice Cream Apparently George is George is a whale who supports this mission. He is like the Good Humor Man...     Really not looking good... Bobby Wiggins is sadly not much of an advertisement for "OT VII Super Power Completion"   This their plaque? They can't even get the first name right?   Such a terrible lie And they put it out every year around this time. Seriously? Now that's an offer you can't refuse...       Worst photoshop ever Looks like a cardboard cutout pasted onto the … [Read more...]
