Thursday Funnies

October 27, 2022 By Mike Rinder 20 Comments

This one is going to be the real story.... We are circling the drain, more unpopular than ever, stats going down, more leaving than coming in newly. So, give us your money.   Any excuse for a fundraiser... They're supposed to be GIVING OUT candy. They don't even know what Halloween is in Australia.   Gosh, what happened to Africa? Maybe they're not doing so hot despite their promotional pieces that always say they are? Then again, AOSHEU could be full of bs too.   Trick and treats? I think they might not understand the Halloween concept … [Read more...]

Why is "Graduation" never just graduation? Because they don't have enough people completing anything.   The results are in? Form where? Did they take a poll there too and discover it has the worst reputation of any group in the country?   What it's like a the top of the Bridge No different, you just have less money.   The Bay Area is Dead They're going to try to revive it. How strange, there are 4 ideal orgs there...   Raven Kane (Campbell) has a new name? Why?   Effective Management? Howe to write a … [Read more...]

Thursday Funnies

There is a bit of a backlog of Funnies. The ones that were too outdated I sent to the trash file. There are quite a lot, two weeks worth in one episode! Smile away...   They're "On The Plaque" until they're not... These things are VERY temporary.   The "Honor Roll" On it until you're not. These are the marks who have contributed to making Australia the first "ideal continent"...   Big Thumbs Up Come on in, the water's fine. Not that many regges...   Chicago is big So I joined staff. Cincinnati needs staff desperately, their … [Read more...]

Dublin is Not So Ideal

March 6, 2021 By Mike Rinder 45 Comments

Dublin is one of the stranger scientology orgs on earth. An enormous investment was made into this organization in a country where scientology has never been even remotely popular. There was a small, failing, bankrupt mission in Dublin. That was the extent of scientology's presence. Miscavige then bought one of the "Hubbard Offices" to try to preserve his "legacy" (and as a way of spending money for IRS purposes).  For a short while Hubbard had an office in Merrion Square in Dublin where he delivered the "Personal Efficiency" course which was supposed to be the tool that boomed scientology. … [Read more...]

It's the best they've got... Funny how they tell you sitting in a sauna will make you "Think More Clearly" and lo and behold, the success story says just that!   Get your kids in for an OCA! Find their ruin! Lydia Hopwood is a menace... Trying to earn FSM Commissions from kids, pimping them right to the reg.   Well, not really. Not even "salvaging Columbus" actually. Wonder how many of these are Sea Org members and other staff shanghai'd and told to "replace themselves" in order to go home. This will be down to less than half this number in a … [Read more...]

Still quoting this from 1965... Obviously, every child born before 1965 made their 16th birthday unless some illness or accident intervened. The world did NOT end in 1981... But this is still absolute truth.   There is no way to disseminate scientology successfully Unless the person is a child or has no access to Google. End of story.   The real question is... How long will you be able to hack it?   Class VIII auditor? There's no such thing any more in this "Golden Age of Tech." And she has done KTL and LOC -- I bet her briefing doesn't … [Read more...]

Why Dublin??

September 15, 2019 By Mike Rinder 43 Comments

We keep seeing promotional pieces from Dublin "ideal org" that features people from other countries around Europe and the world. Almost every one of their "public" is NOT Irish. The absence of Irish completions in the Dublin "ideal" org is hardly surprising. Dublin only ever had a small, failing mission that was propped up by the Sea Org in order to keep its doors open. It suffered a massive blow from a legal case and the disclosure of its bankrupt condition. But why invest enormous sums in a country that could not sustain a single mission? There are a couple of possible … [Read more...]

St Hill is booming I tell you, booming

September 14, 2019 By Mike Rinder 67 Comments

Here is some new hype from the original St Hill (and now home to the infamous IAS "Eunuch Man" statue): Dear Xxxxxx, I wanted to inform you of the great expansion that is happening at Saint Hill right now. First of all, you will be pleased to know that we are experiencing an incredible OT boom, having people come from all around the world to do their OT Levels. In fact we now have 127 people auditing on the Solo OT Levels. The expansion does not end there, in fact, we are right now finishing the construction of our Central Qualification Organization that will be manned by a total of 40 Sea … [Read more...]

Dublin “ideal” Org is “Clearing Europe”

August 4, 2019 By Mike Rinder 61 Comments

These guys are thinking big... At least 10X expansion across their zone (whatever that may be). Not content with merely Clearing Ireland, they are taking on the whole Continent. Why someone from Sweden would be in Dublin is anyone's guess -- there IS an ideal org in Malmo. And in Copenhagen. Amsterdam. Brussels. A couple in England. And a few in Germany, Switzerland and Italy that are all closer. Unless they just can't find anyone in Ireland who wants to go Clear so that have to reach outside their island and try to persuade a bunch of foreigners to make the trip? But what is most … [Read more...]

The “Top” of the Bridge is Collapsing

June 18, 2019 By Mike Rinder 81 Comments

The "Mecca of Technical Perfection" (they don't seem to use that name any more, even though it was bestowed by L. Ron Hubbard himself) is becoming more and more desperate. Yesterday I included information about the shrinking world of scientology evidenced by the curtailed Maiden Voyage celebrations. Today we have more evidence from the "top of the Bridge" where they are now delivering the "Personal Efficiency Course"... This is described at the What is Scientology website as follows (emphasis mine): For many people, happiness is an elusive quality. Surveys show that “being happy” is … [Read more...]
