More Chicago Hype
They are apparently just “inches away” from actually opening this building -- that has been sitting idle, fully renovated for a year or more now. It seems the delay continues to be needing staff to man it and for Captain Miscavige to feel it is safe to show his face in public. So typical of everything in the bubble. Chicago Ideal Org Grand Opening on Feb 11?
We have seen in the Thursday Funnies a lot of mentions of Chicago's "Don't Miss" event on 11 February. Someone just sent me this video, obviously produced by SuMP. Methinks this is an awful lot of effort for a "local" event. Add to that the fact that they are not announcing WHERE this event is going to be held... "Venue TBD" These things would indicate Mr. Mickiewicz is planning on yanking his ribbon in Chicago on Feb 11. Scientology’s Delusions of Grandeur
I wonder where this guy "sees" this? Scientology being the talk of the town? The city coming together like never before? The eternal false hope of scientologists. Chicago Being Manned With SO Members
This has become the new norm in scientology. Spend tens of millions of dollars to buy and renovate a building in a city with few scientologists. The inability to find staff to man the organization results in Sea Org members being sent to do so (Sea Org members can be ordered around to go wherever, much as they would like to be able to do so, they cannot order people to join staff). Chicago is Getting DONE!
Scientology sometimes sends out the most self-incriminating "promotional" items.... With a subject line "Yeah, yeah, I know -- I've heard that before!" it is pretty clear they recognize that everyone inside the bubble knows they tell one another an endless stream of lies about their accomplishments and what is coming next. Chicago Is Getting Old Fast
This "ideal" org in Chicago is really setting some interesting precedents. The building has been completed for some time. But they cannot open it. There are two apparent reasons. First, Miscavige fears being anywhere public -- even surrounded by security and all sorts of measures to protect him from being served with legal process. The second reason seems to be that they have no staff, so have resorted to a scraping of the barrel from other orgs. Chicago Ideal Org Fail
The "ideal org" strategy is so far off the rails it doesn't even resemble the original crazy plan when Miscavige announced it in the early 2000's. He proclaimed that orgs required large enough buildings to be able to deliver "all the services", including a Public Divisions space large enough to accommodate what I called his FART program (Fully Automated Robot TV) whereby staff would be replaced by videos to "explain scientology).
