I have often made comparisons between the cult of the RCS and North Korea. I have been reading John Sweeney's excellent book North Korea Undercover (this is a link to order the book on Amazon, I recommend it as an informative and enjoyable read filled with typical Sweeney wit). The parallels that come to mind while reading the book are eerie. Someone also recently alerted me to a link to the official english language version of the The Pyongyang Times. It makes fascinating reading. They seem to employ the same writers as the RCS. Perhaps Dan Sherman is moonlighting for the Pyongyang Ti … [Read more...]
More Fundamentalist Threats
To continue to document the dwindling spiral, I will keep publishing the threatening and quite insane emails that demonstrate the insanity within the bubble. Here is the newest one. These people truly are insane: all beings will be blind and in pain forever, soon. This is apocalyptic cult talk without doubt. From: Your Enemy fuckoff@eatshitrinder.com Here's the entire issue boiled down to its basic. If LRH were here, what would he think of you? Of COB? Who would he side with? You think he would side with you. The person who ran away and went to the SP press, who's dragging Scn th … [Read more...]
Lying And Fundamentalist Scientology
Is the "Church of Scientology" a fundamentalist organization? In my view, it is. And if you read the criteria for fundamentalism above, there is not much doubt that the hard core members of the church fit right in to these 5 points. I was prompted to write this by an interesting post on Marty's blog a little while ago entitled Trained To Lie. I posted a comment in response which I repeat here: Marty — the corollary to this is the fact that these people will do anything to “protect the church” and believe that this is “the greatest good.” Thus, telling a lie is not a harmful act if it going … [Read more...]
The Big Scientology Lie
"Scientology is more than 11,000 churches, missions and groups." (The latest Scientology public relations line.) They have just increased the number from 10,000. It's funny how they can count every single phantom individual in attendance at the mini ribbon cutting for the SP building (10,273) but can only operate to the closest thousand when it comes to their number of churches.... No doubt this new number was dictated by the master manipulator just as He did when He told Heber Jentzsch to stop saying there are 6 million Scientologists in the world and just say it's 8 million "otherwise i … [Read more...]
No News Is OId News
The big, new news on the Volunteer Minister front, worthy of a paid press release on Christmas Eve, is NOT the activities of the VMs in the Philippines, nor even their feeble presence at the Oklahoma City tornados earlier this year. Nope, its "news" from 2004 -- 9 YEARS AGO. This is the headline from the 24 December PR Press Release under the byline "Karin Pouw." Scientology Volunteer Ministers Provide Help in Desperate Times New Scientology brochure tells how 600 Scientology Volunteer Ministers who responded to the 2004 tsunami changed the course of the movement I will not bore … [Read more...]
A Very UNReal Impact On The Theta-Entheta Ratio
These people have totally lost touch with reality. 80 NOTs completions in a YEAR is going to have absolutely NO effect on the "theta/entheta ratio." Less of these idiotic emails might make a bit of difference though.... At 80 per year, or even 100 per year its 100 years to make their 10,000 target. Only 50 if you give them the benefit of the doubt that they have gotten 5000 in 30 years. I wonder if these people even know anything about where they are living outside the gates of St Hill? The population of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland is 70 million, increasing about 200,000 … [Read more...]
What’s Wrong With Scientology.org?
The masters of the internet and cutting edge technology (see Warehouse VIII and the state-of-the-art paper printing plant) seem to have a rough time keeping their website relevant. Let alone problems with credibility. They finally just put up an announcement about the opening of the Ideal Org in Kaohsuing. Though it might be best to just leave the Ideal Org thing to die an unlamented death. This is the 4th "Ideal Org" this year -- though the first since the first clear city of Portland in May, preceded by the bust in Pretoria and the non-event in Cambridge Ontario. This is a big thumbs … [Read more...]
What Your IAS Donations Buy — Update on VMs in Philippines
There is no update. It's what is known as a "No Report." Let's not forget, this is one of the largest, most devastating natural disasters in a long time. And Captain Miscavige has proudly announced on numerous occasions that His Volunteer Minister force is the single largest and most effective private relief force on earth. And of course with all that massive, straight up and vertical international expansion that has been happening, more in the last 5 years than in the 50 decades previously, this force should be incredibly enormously humongous by now. They should be literally flooding into … [Read more...]
Fact v. Fiction: A Tale of Two Websites
I don't normally follow statistics concerning this blog, as I am not trying to generate ad revenue (there are no ads:)). I provide this forum as a public service that I hope gets out information that might otherwise not see the light of day from within the bowels of the bubble. But the irrepressible Karen De La Carriere sent this to me yesterday and called me up and told me it was good news that people should know. I felt it was worth noting, not to beat my own drum, but to give hope to those of you who await the day when you may be reunited with friends or family who have been victim of the … [Read more...]
Videos And Reading For Today
There are two new videos this morning that everyone should see. I am having some difficulty getting videos to post on this blog, so I am including the url for the first: The first is from Good Morning America: Unfortunately your browser does not support IFrames. Breaking News http://gma.yahoo.com/video/leah-remini-testify-against-church-123243618.html The second is the world premiere of a video by Tiziano Lugli that is on Tony Ortega's blog this morning. Update: Also, an article in the Tampa Bay Times about the judges in Texas and Tampa denying the church's efforts t … [Read more...]
