The Reddit AMA ("ask Me Anything") special has now aired, and now it's on to Episode 4 tomorrow (The Rise of Miscavige). As always, I am interested in your views - including criticisms and things you think might be better explained or covered. I also suspect there are quite a number of new people who are coming to this blog for the first time. To all of you, welcome. I thought you might find it instructive to be directed to some earlier postings I have done that may help explain some things if you just watched the show or are curious about the bizarre scientology statements about … [Read more...]
To Speak, or Not To Speak
THIS IS IMPORTANT Leah Remini: Scientology and The Aftermath is reaching far and wide. As a result, there are a lot of people coming forward with their own stories of abuse in the church. We set up an email for people to report things (knowledgereports@hushmail.com) and soon hope to have a website (if I can find the time to put it together). But there is one thing that has come up repeatedly that I wanted to comment on publicly. The supposed "confidentiality agreements" many have signed. Though this mostly applies to those signed by Sea Org members, most staff and many public have also … [Read more...]
Lois Reisdorf Part 6 – Rise of David Miscavige
Rise of David Miscavige I made an appearance on ABC's 20/20 on April 29th of this year for their program about Ron Miscavige. Doing this TV show was the first time I was speaking out after almost 35 years – it was hard for me to do. My appearance (in the first 10 minutes) was due to the fact that I had a missing link not covered in Ron Miscavige Sr. book RUTHLESS: how did the rise of David Miscavige happen? ABC filmed about 20 minutes of me telling this story, but only 2 minutes was used on the show. The “church’s” response to my appearance was something on the order of –“Lois w … [Read more...]
Scn Aftermath Episode 2: Scientology Sort Of Responds
Hurricane Leah continues to roll, blowing aside the scientology house of cards in its path. Their denials and ridiculous responses are becoming lamer and less believable by the day. Their latest effort now takes issue with the fact they harass people. Everything they do is dictated by the L. Ron Hubbard Playbook for dealing with critics. But interestingly, more and more media are following Leah's lead of treating the scientology responses with tongue-in-cheek mockery. Here is a short excerpt from E!News: In Tuesday night's all-new Leah Remini: Scientology and the … [Read more...]
Scientology Aftermath Episode 2 Aftermath
The show has aired, my laundry has been hung out for all to see, and now it's on to Episode 3. As always, I am interested in your views - including criticisms and things you think might be better explained or covered (and I will try not to respond to everything with "it's in a later episode.") I also suspect there are quite a number of new people who are coming to this blog for the first time. To all of you, welcome. I thought you might find it instructive to be directed to some earlier postings I have done that may help explain some things if you just watched the show … [Read more...]
Lois Reisdorf – Part 5 (1978)
1978 was a crazy year, very tumultuous. LRH arrived back to La Quinta in January of 1978 after Mary Sue had moved to LA to handle her criminal case from the Snow White FBI Investigation. While he was gone, during the last half of 1977, the messengers and most of the crew on base were preparing for the making of the tech movies. During 78 and 79 we called this the Cine Org; it was not named Gold until later years. Recruitment had been done to get more people for this unit and we messengers had typed the scripts LRH had sent us via mail. So when he arrived back to La Quinta he got … [Read more...]
Ideal Org Lies
This latest piece from Porn Valley ideal building reminded me what a horrendous self-serving scam this is. You will note the "ideal Valley" is missing a few things -- like about 100 staff (in order to have one for each room) and of course their filing is decades out of date. So, why is there so much effort (extracting of funds) put into these ideal nothings? The answer is simple: Miscavige is frantically trying to keep the veneer of expansion from peeling off the moldy walls of his shrinking kingdom. He uses these "ideal orgs" to convince his sheeple (and tries to persuade the outside … [Read more...]
Scientology Dead Agents* Itself
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, scientology wasted no time rolling out a whole new website of smear after the premiere of Leah Remini: Scientology and The Aftermath. Because of this, Thursday Funnies have taken a one week hiatus while I comment on this latest development from the fevered mind of Miscavige. Cleverly (?) titled Aftermath: After Money (no doubt Miscavige got a kick out of that, probably thought it up himself, laughed at his own cleverness and his sycophants all laughed along with him) it announces in its headline what has come to be the hallmark of scientology's "Dead … [Read more...]
Miscavige Musings & Mutterings
This drivel is a full page in the latest edition of Impact magazine - the IAS propaganda organ. You sort of get the idea what he is trying to say. The strange metaphors that are Shermanspeak specialties make it difficult to fathom, sort of like the front porch of eternity or whatever that idiocy was. The great Mr. David Miscavige is trying very hard to portray himself as some sort of humanitarian. Such hypocrisy. Not only does he personally infringe on people's rights with reckless abandon, he oversees an organization that abides by articles of faith to: Destroy its enemies by any means … [Read more...]
Abortion and Scientology
Often one looks at the church of scientology and wonders if anything will ever change. Are they bound to continue to practice Fair Game, hard sell vulturing and disconnection forever because it is dictated by L. Ron Hubbard? The answer is no. Outside pressure, bad PR and legal cases DO impact scientology and change the way they behave. Here is a perfect example: I know this is just a "PR statement" and scientology says a lot of things it doesn't practice. I am certainly not saying that because carefully worded statements like these appear in their public statements … [Read more...]
