The National Public Affairs Office that is part of the DC Ideal org (the Fraser mansion at Dupont Circle) seems to have sprung a leak. One of our eagle-eyed correspondents sent in these photos yesterday. Looks like a rather large section of the roof has sprung a leak, so they deployed some tarpaulin tech to "handle the hell out of it".... Even though the majority of public at the DC org are NOI, they are not enough to make this org viable. No doubt, like all the other "ideal orgs", they are incapable of covering their expenses. As long as no water is gushing in, you can pretty … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
An ideal "Continent" Really? 11 orgs to serve all of Asia, the Pacific and Australia/NZ.... That's "ideal"? And BTW -- the reg, Rikke, is the former RTC Rep FLB banished to Australia because of what she knew about Lisa McPherson. FUNraising? Seriously? That's what the regges think -- "Ooh, isn't this fun?" The people that actually have to give the money may have a different view. A special guest speaker... Why are they afraid to name them? Perhaps they think they might get more suckers if they DON'T announce who it … [Read more...]
No New Orgs Part 2
Some more promotion about the massive expansion of scientology that clearly states "we are not expanding at all." (see first in this series from a few days ago) This is the only org for "6 surrounding states" -- meaning there are NO ORGS IN THE 6 SURROUNDING STATES. This is their statement... I assume these 6 states are: Kansas (there is another org in Missouri in St. Louis), Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Kentucky? Idaho, Montana and Wyoming have no scientology either -- but they are closer to Portland, Salt Lake City and Denver. Then again St Paul is closer … [Read more...]
No New Orgs
I have often noted that scientology's claim about "new churches" is a semantic sleaze to try to fool the bubble-dwellers and outside world alike that they are actually expanding. They are not. What they have done is moved existing orgs into new buildings and called them "new churches." And those new buildings are EMPTY. They have not opened any new organizations in a decade other than one in Dublin for no good reason, though they have shuttered quite a number by "combining" them into one. Here is a classic example that highlights the foolishness of this "ideal org s … [Read more...]
Ideal Orgs, St Hill Size and Imaginary Bunnies
Another "Oops" from within. And this one is sadder than most. This couple "had to sacrifice many things in life" in order to hand over the needed funds to be anointed a "humanitarian." And it was all for naught. That is truly sad. I imagine these are good people who believe they are helping their fellow man. But setting that aside, let’s discuss the imaginary bunnies that spread tall tales believed only by those in the bubble. Pam and Ed make a rather startling admission. When they say "during Boston's St Hill size days" this was in the early 70's... nearly 50 YEARS ago. St Hill … [Read more...]
Ideal Org BS
Here is the reality of an "ideal org". They bring in virtually all the staff from outside the area -- even from outside the COUNTRY. In fact, they circulate a bunch of these people around from one ideal org to the next to create the appearance that there is a bustling staff ready, willing and able to serve the floods of people who will begin arriving the minute the doors open. This has been reported plenty of times in the past. This is the first time I have seen a black and white, blatant admission that the staff are imported for an ideal org... … [Read more...]
Millions and Millions
They keep hyping the vital necessity of Orlando "ideal" org because there are so many tourists. They've apparently got no better reason to try and persuade people this is important. Of course, they don't mention that more people visit Los Angeles and New York each year, and they've had ideal orgs for decades. The result? Zip, nada and nothing. And even more on point, Las Vegas has almost as many vacationers, and arguably ones more susceptible to the scientology pitch than families on the way to Disney World (kids account for a good portion of that 68 million number -- there are … [Read more...]
Tampa Fail
Tampa "ideal St Hill size" org -- the model, the org that raised the bar -- has put out a new video. This org is constantly touted as THE best Class V org on earth. Of course, it should be. It is propped up by Flag. Many of it's staff are children of scientologists that live in the area or scientologists trying to be eligible for OT VII but they don't have a lot of money to give to the IAS so they "contr9ibute" this way. Tampa is also where Flag sends all the people it refuses for service. Anyone with a medical condition or dubious history. Nobody tells them they will not be eligible … [Read more...]
New Ideal Orgs
Tony Ortega covered the recent openings of Salt Lake and "Silicon Valley" ideal orgs with some interesting on-the-ground reports from observers. I have, as is my wont, a few observations of my own. Salt Lake City: This is the official photo on the scientology.org website. If you had the time or inclination, you could actually count the heads present. My guess would be 350. (Update, a reader counted every head in this photo, the number is 242). But if you read their press release, the gathering consisted of "more than a thousand" in attendance. It's … [Read more...]

WTF does this mean? A random chandelier has some significance? Oh I Get It It's time to put a stronghold on the MidWest (with one, still not ideal org, let alone St. Hill size, for 10 states)... Bubbles Branches Out She has made the transition from selling rugs to the "seminar" commissions business. They Got One A single recruit into the Sea Org in Canada is worth sending out a promotional flier about. Wow. The ChanMan is busy Delivering his "body talk"?? And his history lesson (clams on the seashore, Piltdown … [Read more...]
