Michael Lewis has driven his clown car into town once again to offer up a "seminar" that sheds light on what really happens inside the bubble of scientology. "Flourish and prosper" is a much over-used scientology catchphrase. It is code for "make money" just as they use the strange "we are 1000 steps closer to making our target" instead of saying they got in $1,000. It seems they understand how grotesquely money-oriented they are and are trying to keep this hidden from the world. But Michael Lewis blows it. He uses the right euphemism but then comes right out and says it plainly. What is … [Read more...]

New York, New York
Apparently, New York is all action and accomplishments (at least according to their recent announcements). Of course, the huge, monumental, earth-shattering news is that they finally made a single Clear. This is cause for a SPECIAL graduation to be held. Because, hell, you don't make Clears every week. Once every 6 months or so is good and should have New York City fully Cleared in... well... never. Clears are sort of a necessary element to "Clearing Our City/State/Zone/Nation" and they are, as you can see, really making the big push. They are not just smashing … [Read more...]
More Wasted Lives
How sad is this? Embarking on a "career" path to nowhere. I assume these are children of scientologist parents -- probably some commenters here know their families. Such a horrific waste. … [Read more...]
Episode 51: The Bridge Deep Dive Part 2 with Bruce Hines
We continue breaking down the Bridge to total Freedom towards the level of Clear with Bruce Hines. It's the stairway to heaven with turnstiles at every step. The State of Clear -- halfway up the Bridge What is the E-Meter? Leah mentions her therapist's write-up on the E-Meter and she quotes from a small part of it. Here it is in full: The science is pretty precise and involved (i.e., the science that it sounds like Scientology and the e-meter capitalizes on and distorts for the purposes of Scientology), but here’s the basic scenario: It … [Read more...]
The Conceit of Scientologists
Another STAND League fool offers his twisted take on how scientology is maligned in the press. STAND League should adopt a new motto for themselves, using the wisdom and words of the Bard himself: Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Jim Kalergis has been one of the big FSM's in the LA area for decades. His livelihood depends on people believing that scientology is good. This guy actually thinks scientologists re in a position to complain about how people don't trust them media? Wonder what a Gallup Poll would say about the public … [Read more...]
OT Committee Bloopers
Another episode from the never-ending flow of inadvertent truths scientology publishes to the world. The Valley OT Committee is top of the class in this particular endeavor. Take a look at their latest offering. First. Who use a photo of someone shoveling shit unless you are offering flood clean up services? The photo is one thing. The write up hits an entirely new level. This is the son of Kevin Wilson, who runs Sterling Management Systems WISE company. His mother Barbara runs Valley Org. Kevin had announced HE AND HIS WIFE were joining staff during one of the rah-rah … [Read more...]

Scientology Human Rights — An Oxymoron Update
Following up on this piece, Scientology Human Rights -- An Oxymoron, Tampa Bay Times intrepid scientology reporter Tracey McManus managed to speak to a number of the people concerned as covered in the story above. It turns out that Hillsborough County Commissioner Harry Cohen was unaware of any scientology connection. Turns out people who read this blog contacted his office and he then found out about the link. “This isn’t what I thought it was,” Cohen said on Tuesday, confirming he dropped out of the event. “Scientology and a human rights summit, I don’t know they are compatible with one a … [Read more...]
STAND League — Fair Gaming Journalists Is Their Thing
Everyone familiar with scientology knows there are two things that really get their hackles up. Saying something they consider unkind about Tom Cruise, or saying something mean about David Miscavige. It does not matter whether what is said is true, if it casts either of them in a bad light, the STAND Minions are activated to come out with pencils blazing, firing off volleys of accusations of bigotry and hate. Martha Ross wrote an article about Tom Cruise in the San Jose Mercury News. Here is some of what she said that so incensed the Standbots: While the move was widely a … [Read more...]
