Another tough episode. That was an example of the "ideal" scientology family. About as successful as their "ideal" orgs. It will be a bit of a breather next week as we take a look at Miscavige's rise to power. Elizabeth Gale is a courageous, strong, woman, mother and role model. We will be waiting (probably not for more than a few minutes) for the hate videos and smear site to go up that the busy little OSA beavers have been working on. Of course, every time they put them up they prove what is being exposed about them. But they don't care because they "know" (because L. Ron Hubbard told … [Read more...]
Hurricane Harvey Update
We have been tracking the progress of the Largest Private Relief Force on Earth response to Hurricane Harvey. This is a new update from the "CEO" of WISE International -- I have highlighted a few things of interest. I’ve been moved to put out another update on my email from last night concerning the ongoing scene in Texas today, based on what I’ve just witnessed. And I'm widening our list to not just the Southern United States, but our entire North American list of comm lines due to the urgency. Here's the deal: William B. “Brock” Long, the FEMA administrator, announced in an early-mo … [Read more...]
Ireland — Seriously?
For the latest proof that the "ideal org" strategy has NOTHING to do with "clearing the planet" but is simply a real estate, money making scheme and PR campaign for internal scientologists, look no further than the "ideal org" of Ireland. Here is a new pitch they sent out which I have highlighted to note some significant points. First thing to note: this "org" is being sponsored by the IAS -- they must need to invest in some more real estate to satisfy IRS requirements. But that "sponsorship" is ONLY to buy the building and renovate it. NOT to "set up" the "ideal org" because this … [Read more...]
Hurricane Harvey
Our thoughts are with those in South Texas, hoping they are dry and safe. We have a lot of friends in those parts from Ray Jeffrey and his co-counsel to Mike Laws and plenty of others in between. I hope the Rathbun's weathered this storm OK as they were in the most vulnerable location of all and I do not wish ill on anyone - only that they stop abusing others. That being said, of course scientology is busy as little beavers collecting money and activating their VM's. I have written many blog posts in the past about scientology's disaster capitalism -- using disasters as a way to milk … [Read more...]
Words that Hurt: Scientology Nomenclature
It's Saturday. That means it's Terra Cognita time. Words that Hurt: Scientology Nomenclature I never realized how dehumanizing Scientology nomenclature was until my spouse and I began tossing out words LRH and his followers assigned for humans. Turns out, scientology is great at degrading people. If you weren’t one hundred percent onboard with Ron and his tech, he had a name for you—and it wasn’t complimentary. Note: It would take too long and too many words to try to define all these pejoratives. Google “Scientology Tech Dictionary” for links to sites to help you clear these definitions i … [Read more...]

Scientology’s Response to Episode 2
As has become their practice, within minutes of the show airing, scientology puts up a new smear site, with videos from family members -- in this case Marie Bilheimer and Aaron Poulin's mothers, and Tayler Tweed's mother and brother. They are sadly predictable -- failing to address the issues raised in the stories and instead attempting to discredit Marie and Lauren (and Leah, Tony Ortega and me). Marie, according to Aaron's mother should "look in the mirror" and Lauren, according to Cathy Tweed, wasn't really even a friend of Tayler's. Lame stuff. But can you get inside the head of the … [Read more...]
Scientology The Aftermath S2 Ep 2: the Aftermath
As always, thanks to everyone for your amazing support. Most heartfelt thanks to Marie Bilheimer and Lauren Haggis -- two beautiful, courageous and caring women. Without contributors like them who are willing to stand up and bravely tell their stories, there would be no show at all. The purpose of this program is to provide a venue for the real, painful stories of life in scientology to be told. It cannot happen without those who will sit down before the camera. Every contributor knows that any remaining scientology friends they may have had will instantly disconnect (even though "that … [Read more...]
The Anti-Aftermath
It seems to be all hands panic stations inside the scientology bubble. In violation of Hubbard policy and all earlier practices, they are now "spreading the flap" by announcing it to all scientologists and "encouraging" them to write letters and sign a petition to shut down The Aftermath. This really is an unprecedented action in the annals of "attack the attacker" history. Scientology usually does its best not to make their public aware of "bad media", knowing most of them will not look at it anyway. Standard practice is to pretend it doesn't exist. They must be deluged with reports … [Read more...]
Disaster Capitalism Revisited
It is as predictable as night following day. A disaster, man-made or natural, hits the media and scientology hits the "give us your money now" button. I have pointed it out many times in the past -- this is EXACTLY what the IAS says they use people's donations for. The IAS proudly proclaims it is they who see that Volunteer Ministers ("the largest private relief force on earth") are on the scene "of every major disaster no matter where it occurs on earth" to bring the help that ONLY scientologists can (as Tom Cruise famously said -- ONLY a scientologist can help people injured in a car … [Read more...]
Still Waiting for Scientology OTs to Change the World
A day late due to extenuating circumstances, but here is this week's installment from Terra Cognita Still Waiting for Scientology OTs to Change the World All Scientology Operating Thetans—OTs—are handed the responsibility of clearing their environments after returning home from Flag and the Freewinds. They’re expected to transform their local communities—ideally, into some sort of Scientology-based utopia. If that’s too much, tidying up their neighborhoods and/or giving touch assists to Uncle Dick is helpful. At the least, walking Rex more regularly is good for their Fifth Dynamic. Before … [Read more...]
Scientology’s Latest Whinesmear
Scientology, in their zeal to sling mud and smear anyone they don't agree with, have created a new whinesmear site about Pastor Willy Rice of the Clearwater Calvary Baptist church. It is a typical scientology effort -- long on adjectives and pejoratives, short on facts and dripping with hypocrisy. Let's address the most obvious point first. Pastor Rice's stance on gays. I do not agree with his position. I FULLY support the rights of everyone in the LBGTQA community to be treated as equals in all things. But, to be honest, there are plenty of things I disagree with about teachings … [Read more...]

Scientology’s Response to Episode 1
Though I commented on this in my post of yesterday, I wanted to highlight the insanity of the scientology response to the new season's first episode while it is hot off the press (Thursday Funnies are on hiatus for a week). In a word. Lame. Their "defense" for child abuse is: We found three people who knew Saina when she was a child and she didnt mention she had been sexually molested -- yes and I found 5 people who knew Jeffrey Dahmer and they said he never told them he had killed and eaten people. So it didn't happen apparently. What they DIDN'T "find" was Mirriam or Saina's mother … [Read more...]
Scientology The Aftermath S2 Ep 1: the Aftermath
Thanks to everyone for supporting the show last night. There were too many tweets, messages, FB posts, blog comments here and at the Underground Bunker to possibly keep up, or respond to all the expressions of support and outrage. So let this be a general thanks to everyone. But thanks beyond all thanks goes to two incredible, brave women, Mirriam Francis and Saina Kamula who stood up, spoke up and gave voice to every victim of similar abuse in scientology. There is MUCH more to their stories as you might imagine. Only so much can fit in the minutes available for the show. I wish we … [Read more...]
