You may have read or seen others commenting on this recent article by Tracey McManus. Clearwater City Council candidates mum on Scientology’s impact downtown I found the article fascinating (I have included the full text of it below) for a number of reasons. First, EVERYONE in Clearwater knows exactly what the biggest problem facing Clearwater is. The downtown is dead. While neighboring Dunedin, Safety Harbor and even St. Petersburg are flourishing and prospering, Clearwater languishes in the empty storefront doldrums. Yet Clearwater has greater potential for its dow … [Read more...]
The Safest City
This is more of the scientology bubble crazy on display. They have been convinced that handing out copies of the Way to Happiness "reduces crime" and "brings calm" to neighborhoods. Why do they believe this? First is because L. Ron Hubbard proclaimed this to be the case. He determined that problems in society all stemmed from the lack of a moral code, and that by distributing HIS it spread calm and peace and bring about miraculous changes. And of course, if L. Ron Hubbard says not enough smoking is the true cause of cancer, that LSD is stored in the fatty tissues of the body or that … [Read more...]
Ribbon Yanking Extravaganza
It's a big weekend of ribbon yanking for the Chairman of the Bored. These HAVE to be done this weekend or they will not make it into the March 13th event -- and he doesn't have anything else to hype at that event other than to bring the Sherminator on stage to ramble on with some more fascinating tall tales about the life of LRH, and handing out some awards to pre-ordained winners of the "Birthday Game" (you will see, the ONLY winners allowed now are "ideal"). So, it is absolutely imperative these ribbon yankings were made to happen. After YEARS of endless PR pieces about … [Read more...]
Seminar: Another of Scientology’s MUs
It's SaTerraDay... Seminar: Another of Scientology’s MUs MU stands for “misunderstood word.” And according to L. Ron Hubbard is one of the primary causes for man’s fall from grace. I’m pretty sure that way back when, the two words “view” and “point” were not understood by the majority of budding young thetans first visiting this universe. Another of Scientology’s biggest MUs is the word “seminar.” Per Dictionary.com, seminar is defined as “a small group of students, as in a university, engaged in advanced study and original research under a member of the faculty and meeting regularly to exch … [Read more...]
Regraded Being
Thursday Funnies
What does your level of survival depend on? Why not ask Sandy Wilhere. A Class XII C/S who didn't agree with "GAT" and was relegated to be a low level minion -- now the RSVP person for these bigshots (?) Late breaking news They ARE going St Hill size! Really? Why didnt that happen when they became "ideal"? It guarantees 10X expansion according to their own promo... 5 years later and they're STILL not SH Size? Oscars? Normally they give YOU something? Can you imagine if people showed up to the Oscars and they were expected to hand over cash? Mr. … [Read more...]
Valentine Wisdom from L. Ron Hubbard
Some words of advice about "girls" from Mr. Hubbard -- the man who abandoned his first wife to bigamously marry his second only to then deny her existence and claim he was not the father of their daughter he kidnapped and took to Cuba, and finally to disown his third wife when she took the fall on his behalf to prevent him going to prison. Yep, with that stellar record, he qualifies to offer some sage words. And what is even more remarkable -- the scientologists think this is worthy of sending around to everyone because it is so brilliant (every word uttered by Hubbard is genius in their … [Read more...]
Scientology Dating
It seems there is an increased interest in date locating :) in the shrinking world of scientology. Perhaps they are running out of prospects... These two emails were forwarded to me recently, both pitching "scientology" dating sites/services. On the eve of Valentine's Day they seem oddly apropos. Apparently, they have managed to scrape together 200 members (another interesting measure of the real size of scientology). And here is the second: Interesting, if you look up this site, their main claim to fame is that they have handed out 27,000 copies of the Way to … [Read more...]
Ideal Missions – Ocala Fail
Scientology are exposing themselves again. Years ago, the Ocala Mission was opened with great fanfare as the first "Ideal" mission. It has been promoted this way since. I visited this Mission some time after it was declared ideal and the Hungarian receptionist was unable to help me when I asked some questions about Dianetics and told me to come back on Tuesday evening (it was a Saturday afternoon as I recall) when the Mission ED would be there and that he could help. There wasn't anyone else in the place. Now this: They don't have the staff to be "ideal" -- apparently they don't … [Read more...]
Flag OTC Minutes
Some epic news hot off the press from the mighty Flag OT Committee... Fundraising, fundraising and more fundraising. Orlando NOW has 35 staff. Wow! And they are "doing very well on recruiting." Once again, scientology discloses the fact they are spending tens of millions of dollars for a building for people that do not exist. 35 staff (and you can bet this figure is bs as EVERY figure ever presented by scientology is ALWAYS bs) is supposed to be the size of a Mission. They have another 165 staff to go to be SH size and a real "ideal org." They're not even 20% of the way … [Read more...]
