Our old friend Terra has some timely thoughts to share... Tis the Season L. Ron Hubbard hating giving anything away for free and insisted on charging a hefty price for most all things connected with Scientology. He preached that people didn’t value goods and services that were given freely. Anything worth having was worth paying for. Paying for something meant it was valuable. Given freely, it was not. This philosophy has hardened the hearts of countless Scientologists, driving many toward the level of “No Sympathy” on his infamous Tone Scale. The typical church member has little compa … [Read more...]
Thursday Funnies
Starting to load up on the Christmas pitches. It's so odd that scientology jumps on the Christmas bandwagon when they do not believe in Jesus Christ. Well, not really. Anything to get “bodies in the shop” for the Regges. Upcoming Ideal Org? One of their tech staff completed the Student Hat at Flag. Yippee... they will be clearing KC in a matter of mere decades now. Well, if there was anyone who was ever at cause... It would be the D/In Charge of telling people "Thank you, keep running" at Flag. It's a tough job watching people run around in circles all day. … [Read more...]

Words of Wisdom: Don’t Think
Scientologists believe that anything written or spoken by L. Ron Hubbard is absolute truth. It requires no further inspection than the source of the words. This alone guarantees truth and accuracy. They also believe that repeating them will cause everyone who reads it to be inspired by the genius of the man and hand over money to gain access to more of his amazing truths. Or better yet, experience his promised states of spiritual godliness. Or even better, enable others to experience it by donating to an ideal org or the IAS. Without a second thought (?) scientologists spew “LRH quotes” as i … [Read more...]
Scientology Logic
It is amazing that scientology always has someone to blame for the bad things that happen to them. It's NEVER their fault. Even though this flies in the face of some of the most fundamental principles of scientology: You are responsible for your own condition The overt-motivator sequence (for anything bad to have happened to you, you must have done something bad to another) Victim is at 0.1 on the Hubbard Tone Scale just slightly above death at 0.0 Here is another example from the genius at STAAD, Mr. Ed Parkin. Trying to catch a news tag about the mass murder of Jews in Pittsburgh, … [Read more...]
The Aftermath After Show
As always, interested to hear your views on season 3’s first episode. Of course, before it even aired, scientology put out their attempted "Dead Agent" smear of Valerie. This consists entirely of claims made by her deadbeat brother and his wife -- neither of whom know ANYTHING about Valerie's experiences in the Sea Org and with David Miscavige, and yet assert that Valerie is "selling her soul by telling lies for the attempted creation of ‘reality TV’” ... Jeffrey Haney cries about how Valerie "cut us off" to "destroy their family". This is the guy who never had a thought about Val … [Read more...]

Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it today. We all have much to be thankful for. Including the fact that we don’t have to treat anything we read here seriously. Remember most of those still inside the bubble today with compassion and understanding. Many of us have been in their shoes - pretending to be happy and thankful for the only thing that is truly important in this universe (LRH and the tech). Yikes. Hey why not move back there then? If LRH says this is where the next great civilization will spring from there, how come you're not there? You are giving money … [Read more...]
The Irony Is Strong
This ad aired multiple during Sunday night's episode of The Aftermath: The woman "Sadie" IS a real person. She was at Golden Era productions in the Sea Org with her husband Axel (her husband in the ad). Sadie is infamous for an incident at the base where David Miscavige commanded her to run over Marc Yager (then CO CMO International) in her car (she had a VW Beetle). As any good Sea Org member at the Int Base would, Sadie jumped in her bug and started trying to run down Marc Yager. He literally ran for his life, and jumped off the loading dock that is part of the … [Read more...]
Gaslighting: A Short Tutorial
After The Aftermath episode on the Watchtower Society, and thinking about mind control organizations in general and scientology in particular, I thought it fitting to republish an article from Psychology Today about gaslighting. Someone sent this to me recently in relation to a completely different topic, but it has a lot of application to world of cults (some would say all organized religion) and how people are persuaded to believe the unbelievable and do the unthinkable. I found this enlightening -- just as I found Martha Stoutt's The Sociopath Next Door which I highly re … [Read more...]
Tonight a NEW Aftermath Episode
There is another special episode of The Aftermath airing tonight at a special time -- 8pm EST. This one is very personal -- it is about OUR families and the impact scientology has had on them. It is being used as a lead-in to one of A&E's biggest productions, the 3- part documentary produced by Alex Gibney's company Jigsaw Productions. … [Read more...]
