Scientology Haters Gonna Hate

January 21, 2023 By Mike Rinder 20 Comments

Haven't gotten around to this one until now. A journalist tweets about the Jerrod Carmichael joke at the Golden Globes and the 3 usual "STAAD League" bots rise up as one (they probably are literally one person in OSA Int) to scream their disgust and accuse him of bigotry.     "A lady living a great private life away from the unstable" -- wonder who came up with that piece of idiocy? The people writing these tweets have never even laid eyes on Shelly Miscavige. They know absolutely NOTHING about her life. But they believe everything they are told. This statement … [Read more...]

STAND League Goes After Another Journalist

August 12, 2021 By Mike Rinder 49 Comments

The champions of free speech lash out at another journalist who said something they didn't like. In fact, his article takes the NY Times to task over its puff piece on Rebecca Minkoff -- excerpt below: Fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff is a member of a religious cult. She reveals in today’s New York Times that she’s a practicing Scientologist. This is a smart, talented woman raised Jewish. I wouldn’t buy one more thing from her if it was on sale, discounted, or free. She’s crazy. “I think there’s a lot of confusion when people hear the word ‘religion’ — immediately you hear that I pray to … [Read more...]

Defending the Indefensible: Scientology TV

April 29, 2021 By Mike Rinder 47 Comments

Of all things, STAND is complaining about The Hollywood Reporter's "biased" and "bigoted" coverage of the dismal flop that is ScientologyTV They dredge up some old stuff they have used before about the founder of THR being a communist scare merchant in the days of McCarthyism to prove that the Reporter has a "history" of bias and bigotry and that somehow makes it so today... An interesting standard that they might want to think through a little better, given their illustrious founder's checkered history and the fact that 11 leaders (including his wife) went to Federal prison... I guess … [Read more...]

“Unemployed Blogger” Dominating Scientology

December 13, 2020 By Mike Rinder 78 Comments

The huge, international scientology organization is at the mercy of an “unemployed blogger.” STAND League flounders as they are pressured to "handle" him. These are the real (if unspoken) headlines for STAND League’s latest attempted smear on Tony Ortega. To be fair, I will give them a point for using a decent photo of him. Not their usual style. But that is the only thing worth noting that is not a terrible lie.   Obviously, Fast Eddie and his minions have gotten some heat from David Miscavige to "get effective" shutting down Tony Ortega. They have failed for more than a … [Read more...]

Scientology is “Fun”

August 20, 2020 By Mike Rinder 122 Comments

STAAD puppet Rodger Clark has produced a "sequel" to his earlier effort claiming scientology is "fun." He claims his earlier piece "struck a chord" with readers... Apparently the reader(s) is me. Just me. I had responded to his "Scientology is Freedom, Freedom is Fun," with my take on his assertions "Scientology is a Happy Place." It seems Rodger was not too happy about what I had to say, as he quickly launches into a smear of me. Not much "fun" or "happiness" on display from Rodger, just a whole lot of name-calling. He gets underway with this (after his happy … [Read more...]

Let the Fair Gaming Begin (Again)

July 26, 2020 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

It's hardly a surprise that after being conspicuously absent (other than showing up as a note-taker in court), Fast Eddie Parkin has raised his particularly ugly head again. After all, Leah Remini and I began a new podcast on the subject of Scientology Fair Game -- and the only real purpose of the STAND League and Ed Parkin is to be a propaganda outlet for scientology hate and lies. They have still not realized that the very thing they think is effectively countering the exposure of their abuses, continues to provide evidence that they do exactly what we say they do. Eddie (with 61.9K … [Read more...]

STAND is Recruiting And They Tell The Truth

June 23, 2020 By Mike Rinder 46 Comments

...or at least they are trying to according to Michael Lewis (who seems to be everywhere -- giving seminars on how to conduct life etc etc, perhaps this is a really long amends project following the massive bad PR his son generated). It's interesting to see the admission that Ed Parkin is his "boss"... The facade that STAND is a group of "like-minded individuals" who happen to share a common goal to eradicate religious persecution is of course a sham. This is in fact an OSA front group run by an OSA Int staff member, Ed Parkin, which has a select group of people who take orders from OSA to … [Read more...]

STAND League Clickbait

June 13, 2020 By Mike Rinder 37 Comments

Apparently desperate to get some attention... This is how far down the tubes they have gone? A ridiculous headline that would shame the National  Enquirer.   And this is the text of the "article." It has absolutely no point. I suppose they think it's funny? Scientology are not renowned for their sense of humor. Secret documents obtained by this blog reveal that evil space mutants intent on the destruction of Earth have been secretly controlling the National Enquirer (purveyor of such scoops as “Adam and Eve Were Astronauts”) since 1999, when David Pecker (we do not make this … [Read more...]

Scientology is a Happy Place

June 11, 2020 By Mike Rinder 53 Comments

I was perusing the STAAD website as I sometimes do, and came across this which caught my attention. The theme that scientology is fun is a tough pitch. Sounds all well and good, the old catchphrase used to be "If it's not fun it's not scientology." I am not sure if this was EVER true, but in these days of crush regging, enforced disconnection and endless re-do's of every level of the Bridge, I doubt there are many people, even the hardcore, who would describe scientology as "fun." But it's an appealing concept and makes scientology sound like a good thing. And then I read the body of … [Read more...]

STAND League Rises From The Dead — Not Really

February 10, 2020 By Mike Rinder 75 Comments

Nothing from the STAND League for some time, and then out of the blue they drag out the old "Rapist Apologists" tag line? Why? The upcoming hearing that is going to put this in the spotlight again? Some media contacted them about the allegations? The D/A sent a subpoena? Miscavige asked what they are doing about Remini and Rinder and they had to have something to show him? Who knows, but something happened, so they posted it twice in succession. And couldn't garner a single "like." Because they brought it up -- let me refer you to what we DID in fact say about … [Read more...]
