How sad is this. "AJ" from Minneapolis just arrived at Flag to join the Sea Org. He just graduated high school. No doubt the child of some long term scientologist or staff member. This is the age I joined the Sea Org -- wide-eyed and enthusiastic to save the world. It won't be long before the promises he heard when they were recruiting him are forgotten and he becomes another drone in the money machine that is Flag. He will soon find out that he now belongs to the organization and his free will is meaningless. It used to be a thing to say "A mind is a terrible thing to … [Read more...]
The Scientology BS is Deep
Tracey McManus article reporting on a meeting David Miscavige had with the Clearwater Mayor and City Attorney last week isn't very revelatory on the surface. But I will try to read between the lines and explain the significance of this meeting based on scientology policy and my experience. The first thing to know is that short of testifying under oath (and even then, good scientologists have no fear of lying if they believe a lie is for the "greatest good"), the real story (either what happened in the past or intentions fo rthe future)is never going to be revealed in … [Read more...]

Raffle Mania
Despite the Hubbard policy forbidding this, apparently the desperation for money overcomes all restraints. Though, as CCHR delivers no "services" I supposed they have somewhat of an excuse. But where is the IAS? The IAS repeatedly uses the fact they support CCHR, and announces their "wins" as a reason people should give money to the IAS to "eradicate psychiatry." It is a mainstay of the IAS mantra. So, how come CCHR has to hold raffles to raise money? Of course, the next question to ask about this -- are they fighting for the kids IN SCIENTOLOGY who are being abused? That is of … [Read more...]
Money, money, money
I received this email recently, and the person was happy to have me publish it. This adds to the existing mountain of evidence of scientology worship of money and that they will do literally anything to get it. Dear Mike: Congratulations—the Fair Game podcast is great, as is your blog. On Sunday, Oct. 25, I received a stunned call from a pal who has a mammoth amount of Church of Scientology card debt, something like 17 different credit cards, plus refinancing of his vehicle, along with a second mortgage on his home. His mother co-signed for one or both these loans. This gentleman is a sol … [Read more...]
Episode 15: Former President of Narconon Luke Catton
We welcome an old friend of mine, Lucas (Luke) Catton to the Fair Game podcast this week. Luke was a very prominent member of the Narconon team for a number of years, until he saw the light about scientology. He subsequently spoke out and was targeted by scientology in response. We discuss a wide range of things relating to Narconon, scientology's involvement, the effectiveness of the program and the Fair Gaming Luke has been subjected to. I will include the link as soon as it becomes available. A few of the things we mention during our talk. Here is a copy of the public image.doc … [Read more...]

As of today, 3 seasons of The Aftermath are now available on Netflix... Hoping this will generate a new wave of interest in ending the abuses of scientology. … [Read more...]
Statute of Limitations Reform — Child USA
I am honored to be on the Board of Child USA. It is an organization doing a great deal of good for many, many victims of abuse. Part of the important work is changing the arcane Statute of Limitations (SOL) laws. For a simple explanation why this is so important, this is from the ChildUSA website: Child USA submits testimony in legislative hearings considering SOL reform, with the goal of seeing states extend and eliminate SOLs. This year, we: Submitted written testimony in 5 states and assisted in many others, with 8 states improving their SOLs thus far. Provided input on … [Read more...]

The “History of Man”
“A History of Man” is one of the more bizarre scribblings of L. Ron Hubbard. This so-called "Antediluvian Technology" (antediluvian is defined as: of or belonging to the time before the biblical Flood, so not sure what this "technology" is supposed to be) is not considered "outdated research" or "theoretical. " It is part of what every scientologist must study to even be considered a real scientologist. I was reminded of this when I saw a recent post on Tony Ortega's blog that included this FB post: I made an earlier post about this book, focusing on the reference to the Pil … [Read more...]
