Part of the real estate empire being amassed by the tax exempt church of scientology is a rash of "public accommodations." The latest two are in Los Angeles. This one, right alongside CC Int. And of course "The Fountain" opened last week alongside AOLA. Obviously, there has been a push to open empty buildings so they can be shown at the IAS event. Though one would imagine that ORGS would be better than one-star "hotels." What happened to Harlem? Missed the deadline I suppose. Valley going nowhere really rapidly. Not even a "ribbon cutting" on KCET? … [Read more...]

Total Knowledge. Total Certainty. With that, who needs to pay for anything else? Final 150? 150 more staff? Seriously? Never been past that building and even seen a sign of life... There aren't even 150 in this photo? Epic Anniversary! The Command Team has set the standard for the model ideal org -- funny model, it's still the ONLY ONE after a year. Present Time with regard to specific things... Huh? They actually promote this? Sounds like the Mad Hatter talking. Spiritual … [Read more...]
What Real Churches Do
A small point in the overall scheme of things, but something that struck home with me a few days ago. Jack is now attending pre-school. His school is part of a local Methodist church. They are located in the church facilities and are part of the church's programs. There was a parent-teacher-church meeting to begin the year that Christie and I attended. After talking with Jack's teachers we went into the church proper with all the other parents (there are a dozen different classrooms for children of different pre-school ages) and sat in the pews. The minister Opened the gathering with … [Read more...]
New OT IX & X Are Closer Than You Think
Remember when the prerequisite for OT IX and X was that you had to be a Class VI auditor and all specialist auditor training courses? And thus the OT VIII's were all being hammered to get on auditor training.... Could not do that these days, as there is no Briefing Course. Of course, like most of what happens in the church of scientology today -- this is a moving goalpost. The prereqs are whatever thing Miscavige is pushing as his latest fad. After Class VI the "prerequisites" became that they had to do the Basics to be allowed onto OT IX and X. And then the Congresses and ACCs were a … [Read more...]
Some Observations From Haydn James
This is a posting that was sent to me by Karen DeLacarriere written by Haydn James. She thought it was too good to be left as a posting in the Outer Banks Group on Facebook and asked me if I would like to post it here. Haydn has been a friend of mine for more than 30 years. He is one of the nicest and most intelligent people I know. He wrote a little introduction and then his post follows. He makes some interesting observations. As you know I am pro the tech. I sat down one day to do a dispassionate evaluation of Scientology the subject and its operation past … [Read more...]

Bringing Peace to the World And this is to be accomplished by... Fundraising for ideal orgs. Of course. 64X Expansion That's why 3 "ideal" orgs have ONE graduation in the atrium of AOLA (not even in "Leb Hall"?) AND they have to bring along guest speakers (regges) to try and attract anyone. Within Milliseconds Scientology Will Be Available To Billions Huh? Anyone on earth can read this blog... Scientology is available in milliseconds right now. You gave money for that? Oh shit If Portland is the best in the whole … [Read more...]
The Danger of Niacin
I note at the outset, I am not a chemist or biologist. But I can read. This post was prompted by the ongoing saga of Narconon's implosion and many recent comments that niacin can be dangerous. I didn't pay a lot of attention as the comments usually went along with noting that it can be dangerous to sit in the sauna for too long. And my view of that is Duh. Walking across the street is dangerous too. The claims for the wonders of the Purif may be typical scientology style hype, but the program itself seems generally benign and helpful. How can exercising, going in the sauna, sleeping … [Read more...]
“Successes”
One of the craziest things about scientology is the use of "success stories." These things are a strange mixture of self-affirmation, peer pressure and fear. People write them to accomplish one or all of the following at the completion of a scientology service: a. To ensure they are allowed to complete and be presented with a certificate, they write what they think they are supposed to say b. To affirm for themselves that they have in fact gotten something for the time and money they have invested c. To gain recognition from others for their "wins." In truth, nobody should need … [Read more...]
Scientology Internet Fail
Try as they might, scientology is incapable of accomplishing any positive results on the internet. Miscavige shows "stats" at his events like "people look up scientology every 1.63 seconds" or "we have 627Xed the reach for our programs on the internet" or other completely meaningless statements. All the while they continue to raise money for the "KCET studios" because this facility will allow scientology to "take over the internet." Miscavige has spent a LOT of money to create a video driven website at scientology.org. And probably more money paying than that to click farms in India and … [Read more...]

It's a surprise... Don't tell anyone. The Wonders of the ALL NEW Clearing Course Just a small question. Wonder how this person knows just how much bs he has been fed about how the course is now "shorter" thanks to COB. Oh, that aesthetic course pack... It made all the difference to his ability to get through the "new" GAT OT II. They actually promote this idiocy? Hot Off The Press Is is going to try to attain SH Size again. Perhaps they can scratch their way to the size they were 25 years ago. Unlikely -- no other org has … [Read more...]
